Chapter 7: Gray Forest

The Gray Forest has Six Rings! The Center Most Dangerous Area Mana is The Highest there making it have rare plants that thrive in Mana also have the most dangerous Beasts there. Middle Inner closest to the Center having not as Dangerous as the Inner but can kill you with a Hit and Mana is Strong but weaker then the center. Middle this has Weaker Beasts but once again, even you cant take it and you will be killed before you even get a Spell up, Middle Outer this is the farthest you can go, any further will lead to death and if you are killed because you felt like walking deeper, then you can only blame yourself, Mana Plants are not Rare here and the ones found can still get you a Few Gold Coins but you need to know how to keep the plant you picked and keep it alive. Outer Inner most of you will arrive here its not overly dangerous but they can still kill you by just a Good Hit if you are not prepared stay alert and don't get hit at all, you need to keep moving and not stay standing in place as you fight, Outer Ring weakest ones, they are hardly seen Beasts as they hide from the ones in the Outer Inner even a Little Kid can win with enough Sword play Training! (Head Mage)

You are to Survive in this place for One Month! Its not long but its going to be for you! (Head Mage)

Everyone will be given a Magic bag, it has Items inside for you all to use and last for a week any longer you need to have set up your own camp and find your own food, good Luck. (Head Mage)

With that he waved his hand and everything and Everyone was thrown into the Outer Ring all separated from the each other, But each person has a Magic bag before them.

Specter placed his Staff on the ground as he bent down and opened his Big Bag, Seeing that it has Food and Water inside, for One week.

Throwing the strap over his Left Shoulder and Picking his Staff back up Normal Mages will have a Hard time and the ones that know how to Use Runes to lighten the Bag will have advantage, Specter with his Strong Body walked deeper with his Bag and Box already on his back.

As he is walking, He found a Bear size Beast, it has Long Claws, Standing on Two legs Huge Body Structure with Dark Green Fur, three Green Eyes that is looking at Specter.

Grhaa! (Beast)

It charged at Specter, he sent a Ice Spike from the ground up and it stabbed the charging Creature into the belly of it, The Beast Sent a Green Sphere out of its mouth and Specter evaded it making a {Blop} sound the Acid melted through a Tree and Ground a Foot deep behind him, Specter Created Three More Ice Spikes surrounded the beast and stabbed into the Head of the Beast killing it.

With a Step, Specter vanished and a Beast appeared and started its feasting on the dead Beast right after he left.

Not everyone was Lucky.

Deaths happened right away after being Dropped becoming Beasts Food, the Head Mage did nothing to stop it from happening he did warn them after all.

Fire that hit the trees did not catch the trees on fire this prevented Fire Mages from holding back, the trees are Infused with Mana and partly alive as they use the Mana to protect against Attacks only powerful attacks can destroying a Tree, Students running for there life, fell back to the Very Outer layer and that stopped the beasts from following after as they are close to the exit.

Sam and John fighting Beasts that arrived and Started attacking them, using there own Spells fighting back, they survived the first hour after arriving.

Specter walking through the forest, The Sun closed off from the tall trees above, dark and gloomy, as Specter was walking he heard the sound of rushing water.

Walking to it, a Fast flowing river showed up. Seeing just how fast it's going, Specter used Wind Spell and started walking on the water not attempting to even enter the water. As he followed it a Waterfall appeared before him flowing down, just as he was going to jump down a Huge Fish Jumped out flying to bite Specter, Its Sharp Teeth coming closer and closer. He waved his staff and a Wind Blade sliced the Fish down in half both halves passed the right and left side of him and fell into the water, more of the same fish went after the dead fish halves in a second leaving nothing behind but fish blood and a bit of bones that was taken away by the Current. Dropping down the waterfall, Specter floated down. As he does he got half way down when he stopped his decent.

There he waved his staff towards the Waterfall and the water split open then he moved closer to the Rock Wall behind the Waterfall, as he does he sends his Earth spell out that made the Stone wall Soft like clay and Using his Wind Spell he pushed against it and the Wind Deformed the Soft Clay Stone.

Changing the solid wall of Stone into a Tunnel the Earth became compacted as the Tunnel Structure making it not lose its integrity, Specter went inside further making it deeper then making a large Room, Seeing water was flowing in a Bit, Going back at the Entrance there the Floor was not made correctly so it was making a small Stream of water leaking inside, Fixing the floor and then the top making it longer as a Overhang preventing the Water from flowing inside.

Standing at the open cave, He let the water fall cover his exit and walked back deeper into the Cave the water was removed and thrown outside. Seeing the large empty room, Specter created A Stone Table and chairs, then a fireplace was made close to the Entrance but not to close making a slanted Chimney out of the Cave made of Stone and placed at the Waterfall as the Water will be used to stop the Smoke fron being seen and lower the Smoke smell at the same time will not give his Place away that easily.

Time to change. (Specter)

Going to the Table, the bag, then the box was placed on top, Specter opened the Box and pulled the Black Cloak Robe out, taking his Rune Carving tools out He finished carving Runes on his Cloaked Robe, Taking his School uniform off and put on the Black Cloak Robe on then the Hood of the Cloak over his head. Once done, Specter put the Scarf over his Lower face as it covered Half his face.

Putting his Two Books in his Cloak Robe pocket, Specter went to the Waterfall, Split it open and flew out, Landing on top of the water below, he walked to the Side and to a Tree, He waved his Staff and it Sent a Wind Blade that only Cut a Inch into it, Sending more Wind Blades, he had to use at least 168 Wind Blades as it was too weak and had to use Quantity of Quality, after He Sliced the tree at the base, the tree fell, Waving his staff Upward The Large Tree that it needs three Grown men holding hands just to surround the tree Completely Floats up and Specter went to the Cave, Splitting the Water, Specter enlarged the Tunnel again to fit the tree inside of the Cave and Returned it's Size after placing the tree unside.

Sending Wind Blades, Specter cut the Thin Branches off that he was able to do with only one Wind Blade, Working on the Next Branches that requires Two or Five Wind Blades, Having to Meditate to gain his Lost Mana back, the Tree Became a Source of Training for Him as the Tree helped Enlarge his Mana Well, and have better control over his Mana at the same time.

Removed all the Leaves from the Branches and the Leaves was sent outside the Branches was stacked on the side by the Fireplace, then he started working on the Tree, Using 1964 Wind Blades, Specter was able to finish the Cutting of the Tree, Using a Part to make Wooden Chairs the rest Placed next to the Fireplace.

Sending Some Logs inside the Fireplace and Sending Fire Sphere into it, the Flame had to stay active for a Awhile just to Start the Fire, But once started it just needed logs thrown in to keep it alive.

As the Place gets heated up, Food is next. (Specter)

Going to the Exit and feeling the Cold Air blowing in and the Already Cold Cave, Specter stopped and waved his Staff his Rune Carving set flew over to him, sitting on the Ground He started Carving into the rock at the Exit, An Hour past he had Gone all the way around the Cave Entrance a Thin film like a Bubble was placed over the Entrance once he finished the Rune.

Hmm, This will be keeping the heat in and Cold Out. (Specter)

Walking out was like walking through a Bubble, Specter flew down and Walked into the Forest, there is a Fog moving over through the Trees making it hard to see. but he had His Mana Scanning the Surroundings.

Movement was Detected, Looking over and Seeing that it was a Large Beast monkey like Creature it Charged at him as soon as it seen him and he sent a Wind Blade the Blade Hit on the Beasts Neck and a Line appeared with A Bit of Blood It became Enraged and picked a Bolder up and throwing it Specter evaded and sent a Wind Blade once more hitting the Neck this one Slit its throat Blood Flew Out and even Specter who was a Few meters away almost got hit by it, Specter watched at it Grab its neck it then attempted to charge at Specter for one last attack only to fall face down. specter floated over the Blood and then lifted the Body up with Wind Magic. Looking at its body.

Looks edible. (Specter)

With that he brought it back to His Base, Skinning it, cutting it up Specter made a Small Box out of the Stone and put the Meat inside after putting a Cold Rune inside.

Specter made a Metal Pan using Some Ores he found as he moves the Earth out of the way threw the meat in and started cooking it. As he added some seasoning he pulled out of his box, he cooked it.

Pulling Silverware out from the box with a Plate, Specter started eating at his Stone Table.

Not bad, missing some more salt but its fine. (Specter)

Once Done, Evening arrived, he was done eating so he left the Cave and flew onto the water Below Sending More Wind Blades, Specter started Cutting at the trees around there is so many and Very tall he only needs to cut Three more trees just to have enough for what he is doing.

After cutting the Trees Down, He Cleaned them up, Then he started Cutting into the Tree, But it was time consuming and Hours past by when he finished a Single Tree, he made the Tree into Planks and sent the Planks to the Cave, and started working on the next tree, the Last tree was Processed into Planks and sent up, The Branches was also sent as Fire wood, and the Leaves was just sent off down the River and Earth used to cover the Stumps of the Trees recently Cut hiding Everything and threw a Few leaves around the area.

With that, Specter waved his staff and the last of the planks flew into the Cave, then he Floated up with the Planks when inside he waved his staff the Planks started laying on the floor, Walls, Roof, then a Bed was made with what was left with a Chair. Through the Process he was using Earth magic to move the Stone to Filles the Gaps of the Planks and fused it with the wood keeping it in place then using Earth Magic to make a Stone Sander and Smoothed everything out on the wood and Removed the Earth that was Uneven making it all smooth. Specter went to his Box and pulled a Blanket and pellow out then layed it on the newly made Bed.

The Cave now looks like a House, laying down, Putting the Blanket over him, Specter fell asleep with the Sounds of Wood Crackling in the Fireplace.

Few Hours passed night came As he was sleeping, a Small Black Serpent slithered inside the cave Unknown how it even was able to enter the Place, it seemed to have intelligence as it looked around the large Place and moved to the Fireplace where the heat is coming from and made a Home were the logs are next to the fireplace.

Specter who was sleeping felt the Serpent come in, getting up, he waved his hand and the Serpent flew out from the logs and stopped before him.

The Serpent Looked at Specter with its Red Snake eyes, it was unable to move it's body just kept staring at Specter, then a Feeling of Death was sent to it but it did not even struggle.

Beasts are more intelligent on this world then many I have been on. (Specter)

Specter reached his hand out and touched the Small Serpent head, a Calm feeling filled Specters mind, seeing that its not dangerous.

Even though I can kill you, you dont seem scared or Want to attack insteactivly like many other beasts. (Specter)

Returned the Serpent back to the logs, the Serpent slithered back in and started sleeping, Now awake Specter left the Cave and the night sky and Stars shining above with a Moon that is Red high above but it did not give light the Fog seems to Absorb the Light you can see the Light from the moon but it did not provide it.

Landing above the water, Specter just walked and left into the dark forest, as he is walking eyes will appear in all directions as they watched Specter walk.

Not even paying attention to them, Specter made his way deeper and deeper in.

Grrrrahaaa! (Big Beast)

A Large Beast appeared, Red Eyes Scales over its body, Wings on his back Four large Legs.

... A Dragon... Here? (Specter)

The Dragon Opened its mouth and sent a Fan of Flame out, the trees held strong But they Only lasted for a Second before they fell, everything was Chard Black as the Fan shaped Flames moved closer Specter waved his staff and a Ward surrounded him and the flames passed over the ward, Nothing But flames was before Specter.

Tapping his Staff Pillars of Ice flew upwards but the heat shattered them and that turned it into water that rained down below the fire Was being put out but it also Increased the Fog.

The Dragon was already prepared to send another attack, Specter sent a Ice Sphere and hit the Mouth then it Exspand and trapped the Mouth in Ice, the Dragon stopped its attack but it snapped its mouth shut and shattered the Ice.

With a Step it vanished and appeared before Specter, it Sent its clawed Over powered arm and hit Specter the Ward cracked and pushed halfway into the ground making a crater below, Specter Tapped his Staff Hundreds of Thousands of Ice Spikes appeared above, then Stone layer was created over them, then they Fell.

The Dragon Seen the Attack flapping its wings it moved backwards The Large Space created by the First attack allowing it to have room to menuver and then using its wings to Defend against the attack as the Ice Stone Spikes followed the Dragon, the Wings was Placed over its head Defended against the attack, when the attack stopped it looked up to only see Specter Gone.

GRRRRAHAAA! (Dragon)

Specter who is just walking through the Forest like nothing even happend, was able to hear the Angry Howl from the Dragon, the attack was a Distraction, He is not strong enough to Fight the Dragon and this one is just a Baby even though is already One Story Tall.

What if the Mother arrives and Joins in the fight, He will be killed with a Single Hit of any thing Spell or Body part, walking through the Forest, Specter found a Plant on the Ground, It was Glowing Gold.

A Gold Mana Fern? (Specter)

And this is a Plant I dont know of. (Specter)

Making a Earth Vase, Specter cut a One Square Meter of Dirt with the Plant in the center, Placing the Plant in the Lage Vase, Specter Levitates it as he returned back to his Base to examine the newly acquired Plant.
