The main reason for that to happen was because Zule was separating himself from the tower's formations. He had been fused with them for thousands of years, so it would obviously cause some strain when he started.

Back on the last floor, Zule's silver light pulsed ferociously. Krune and Iem could feel the power of the Space Laws emanating with each pulse.
