"Is…..s….. that what I'm thinking thinking it is?" He stammered.
"It belongs to my baby. He wasn't feeling too fine and I'm sure it wouldn't smell, since the medicine was just pushing out the fever that has….."
He cuts in, "so, it's really a poop." He flashed her a glare, wondering what she's doing with that in a supermarket.
He looked down at his hand, seeing the watery stain with a mixture of yellow and greenish substance there.
He still couldn't believe it.
"Yes, it's a poop. A baby one. My baby." She said, already turned off by the fact that he wasn't interested in her story about her son being sick and just cut her off.
"Woman, I don't care whom it's from, but seriously….. Gosh!" He exclaimed, seeing the furious gaze she's giving him, despite being in the wrong.
"I can't believe we're actually arguing about poop." He said, looking a bit irritated and that's it.
He just poked her never ending side.
She chuckled, attracting a bit of attention, but he just kept looking at her.
"I know your type." She said, raising her neck daringly.
Huh?
He was confused.
"Your type goes into the cubicle with tie and complete suit and that's it. You then loosened everything and..." She clenched her other hand and made a face of someone forcing a stubborn poop out.
He cringed at the sight, wondering if she's sane.
She relax again and sneer at him. "And then you came out already suited again, dabbed your perspiration and pretend as if the poop go easy on you.
You're exactly the type that acted like you don't do it at all." She fired at him and he started feeling uncomfortable.
She has won yet again. This is exactly how she out people in their places if they didn't respect anything that belongs to her child.
You can insult her, she will behave like she couldn't speak, but not her son.
The frustration from how the boy was hot all night was relish in him. When he tried to walk away, she stopped him, asking him to apologize and she will also do the same.
The apology would be for her son and she will do the same for the poop stain.
"I'm sorry, but are you normal?" He couldn't help but asked.
She was about to lose it again, when she heard a familiar voice.
"Hey Bryce, what's going on here?" It's the manager of the mall.
She quickly hide the pampers and turn to face him.
Before she could tell him it's nothing, Bryce spoke up, "we were arguing about poop. A baby poop." He stretched the last sentence and furrowed his brow, look down at her once again and shook his head.
The manager named, Kyle massaged his temple. He's so done with this woman.
"Kyle, I will wait in your office." Bryce said and walked away, looking back at Mel, who couldn't raise her head.
Damn! He knew the boss! She mentally cursed her luck.
"So, what do you have to say about this again? He insulted your baby? Because I don't see Collins around here." He looked around dramatically.
Mel bit down on her lower lip.
"No, talk to me. Tell me what just happened here. I've been staring at you when you were doing the talking and you aren't looking this calm then. So, you've been chasing away customers?" He asked and she quickly looked up.
"No, sir. It was a mistake and he was reacting like what touches him wasn't a natural thing. Like he's special and doesn't poo. I was just trying to explain to him that my baby was sick and I was in a hurry to throw it away and go tend to him, but he didn't let me talk….."
All she was saying wasn't sinking in Kyle's head. He had just noticed the pampers and recall seeing something weird on Bryce's arm, but didn't pay much attention.
Mel has said it all. She stained his boss with poop and even argued with him over it.
Even though they are friends, business talk is always serious. He will question how he hired employees.
Great! Just great!
She has been causing so many trouble, but this will be her last.
"See me in my office after closing hours." He said and turn to leave.
"Please, are you angry?" She asked worriedly.
"Oh! For your information, he's the boss. He owned this place and whatever reaction he gave you, fill in the gap on why he did so." With that said, he walked away, leaving her dumbfounded.
Damn! He's the boss!
