What a Depressed Killer

As I opened my eyes the sun shined brightly through the windows and in my eyes. I rubbed my eyes and squinted as I checked my phone to see what time it was and to make sure I hadn't missed anything important. I placed my phone back on the coffee table and went back to sleep. I don't know how long it's been now but I couldn't make myself kill anyone. No matter how much I craved the feeling, I just couldn't. All I wanted to do was kill my uncle for making my life a living hell. He ruined my whole life.

"Kookie, open up," said Jimin as he started banging on my door.

I ignored him and pretended not to hear him.

"I know you're in there I can hear you moving around," said Jimin again.

I swear to god this boy must have super hearing or something. I slowly got up and staggered over to the door and opened it. When Jimin saw me his eyes grew wide and full of worry.

"Holy shit, Kookie, what's wrong with you?" He asked concerned. He noticed the huge dark bags under my eyes and my messy greasy hair, and wrinkled clothes.

"Nothing, I'm fine," I replied as I went back over to the couch and laid back down in the fetal position.

"Jungkook, you're clearly not fine. I know you loved Hansel but there's nothing we can do to bring him back," said Jimin.

"No, but there's something we can do that'll make me feel better," I replied.

"And what's that?" Asked Jimin.

"To kill the man whose been responsible for all the misfortune in my life since mom and dad died," I said quietly, I seemed to be losing my voice from all the sobbing I've been doing from the past week. "Uncle Song," said Jimin.

"Yeah," I quietly replied.

"I'll set it up. Meet me at the old family house in 30 minutes," said Jimin as he headed back out.

"Yeah, okay," I whispered. He obviously didn't hear me.

I managed to make myself get up and get cleaned up. I grabbed my car keys and headed over to the house. When I arrived I parked and went in. As soon as I opened the door memories of when I was young hit me like a slap in the face. All the happiness was blocked out when the horrible memories of my parents murder came flowing into my head and all the chaos in there began again. I slowly felt myself losing it but I calmed myself down when I heard a car pull up out front. The door swung open and there was Jimin and our unconscious uncle. I helped my brother get the room ready and we placed our uncle on the table. I slapped him a few times on the face to wake him up. His eyes shot open and he opened his mouth to say something but I didn't wanna hear it, I placed a gag in his mouth.

"Uncle Song, your time has finally come," I said unenthusiastic.

His forehead was sweating profusely and his eyes widened when I grabbed the knife and without hesitation stabbed him right in the heart. He bled out instantly. And a void I've felt inside had finally closed, I felt free and a slight bit of happiness.

"How are you?" Asked Jimin.

"For so long I've felt empty and sad but I seem to feel so much better. Thank you hyung," I replied giving Jimin a hug.

"You're welcome Kookie," he said and smiled.

We cleaned up our mess and went out separate ways. Jimin went back to BigHit to work on some more dance routines and me? Back to an empty apartment filled with darkness and loneliness. I had hoped that killing my uncle would change how I felt and it did, for a couple of hours, until I returned back to my apartment where I would never see my beloved dog again, but alas I finally was able to avenge his death, he didn't die in vain. He died a good dog and loyal one. And I hope to be back with him one day.

As soon as I stepped foot in my apartment I was hit with a pang of sadness. I decided that sulking alone in my apartment wouldn't do me any good so I decided to go to the bar down the street from my place and have a few drinks. By the time I was on my fourth or fifth drink it was already around 2 or 3 in the morning. I could barely see straight much less keep my head up. I ended up falling asleep.

When I woke up that morning I sat up and looked around realizing that I wasn't even in my own apartment. I squinted and held my head because I had an awful headache. Whose living room was I in?

"Oh, you're finally awake. How're you?"

I looked around to find the owner of that very familiar voice and stared at them wide eyed when I found them standing behind me holding two mugs of coffee.

"You! What am I doing here?" I asked.

"You were really drunk last night. I found you outside the bar asleep on a bench, I brought you back to my place," she replied.

"Thanks, I guess," I said.

I stretched and stood up and suddenly felt an uncomfortable breeze against my legs. I looked down and frowned. "Shit." I could hear her quietly giggling. "Odd question but, where are my pants?"

"You complained that they smelled weird and then took them off last night and passed out on my couch. I washed them for you. There on the sofa next to you." She pointed over to the beige colored chair.

"Thanks." I took them and put them on.

She handed me the other cup of coffee and I gulped that down as if my life depended on it.

"You know, you were such a good lawyer and I never managed to get your name," I said.

"It's Choi Yuna," she replied.

"Well I would like to repay you for your hospitality," I smiled. "How's dinner sound?"

"Uh, sure I'd love dinner," she smiled.

"Great, I'll pick you up at six,"

I decided to walk back to my apartment. I needed the fresh air. When I finally arrived Jimin hyung was waiting for me outside my door.

"What are you doing here?" I asked annoyed.

"Looking for you. We've all been looking for you. Is your phone off or something?" Said Jimin.

"No, it died. I got drunk last night," Jimin looked at me like I was crazy. "No one saw me. I avoided fans and reporters."

"Oh thank god," Jimin sighed.

"Well anyway, remember that lawyer? The one you hired for me?" I asked.

A smile formed on Jimin's face. "Yeah?"

"She found me passed out and brought me back to her apartment," I replied. "I'm taking her out to dinner tonight."

"That's great. I'm glad you're back to your normal self," said Jimin. "Now come on. Everyone's waiting. You can charge your phone in my car."
