It’ll be okay

"Excuse me, can you tell me where the morgue is?" I asked the cop at the desk when I entered the precinct.

"Hey, you're Jeon Jungkook, right?" He said.

I smiled and nodded.

"Wow, my daughter loves you guys. She's been a fan since I can remember," he continued. "Uh yeah, it's just down, basement I guess."

"Thanks," I said as I headed over to the elevator.

"Wait," he said.

I turned. "Huh?"

"Could I get a autograph? For my daughter?" He asked.

"Sure," I shrugged. He handed me a notepad and pen and I signed.

I handed it back to him and got on the elevator. When I got to the morgue I went in and there was the coroner and a woman standing next to Yuna's body sobbing.

"Uh, excuse me?" I said.

"Who are you?" Asked the coroner.

"Oh, sorry I'm the fiancé, I needed to see her," I replied pointing towards Yuna's body.

"Oh, yeah. Take all the time you need," he said.

"Thank you," I gave a small smile.

He left.

"You must be Yuna's sister," I said to the woman.

She wiped her tears away and nodded. "You must be her boyfriend."

"Uh yeah, I've heard so much about you," I replied.

"Did you do it?" She blurted out without hesitation.

"No. I loved Yuna. I would never do anything to hurt her," I replied.

"I can't believe she was about to marry a convicted murderer. I tried to warn her. But of course she didn't listen, she never listened and now look where she is, it's all your fault," she cried tears still streaming down her face.

"I'm sorry," I said as I headed out.

I got back in my car and silently sat there for a few minutes. Was it my fault? Did I really get Yuna killed? Ugh! FUCK! I started driving and headed to BigHit.

"I'm so sorry Kookie, I heard about Yuna," said Taehyung as I entered.

"Thank you," I replied.

"How are you doing?" Asked Yoongi.

"I can't help but to think that it's my fault. I mean I just met her sister and she already hates me," I replied.

"It isn't, I'm sure they'll find the person who's responsible," said Yoongi. He gave me a hug.

"Thanks Hyung," I tried to smile.

The rest of the day was slow and boring. All I wanted to do was go back home and sleep and never wake up. I ended up talking to my manager and having to beg him to take a break from the group. He reluctantly agreed and gave me a 3 month hiatus. I went home and laid on my couch in silence. My phone immediately started to blow up with twitter notifications and news alerts. I guess they had a press conference to confirm my break from BTS.

When I opened my phone a plethora of hashtags and tweets and comments from fans filled my screen. I quietly laughed to myself. How pathetic. People clearly don't have any time on their hands nowadays.

I hesitated a second and called a friend I knew from my pre-debut days.

"Hey, I need a favor," I said.

"Sure, what do you need?" He asked.

"I need you to go to the firm that Choi Yuna used to work at and get me every last case file in her office," I replied.

"Sure, I'll come by later today."

"Thanks." I hung up.

I sat in my apartment in silence for hours, waiting for those papers. When the doorbell finally rang I somehow felt relieved.

"It's open."

The door swung open and my friend came barging in.

"Well long time no see, Jeon Jungkook." He sat in the sofa across from me.

"Please just skip the small talk, do you have what I asked for?" I replied annoyed.

He frowned and got a huge stack of folders and papers out of his messenger bag and placed them on my coffee table. "There," he said.

"Thanks," I coldly replied.

He scoffed and got up and left.

I immediately got to work. Who would be willing to go as far as to breaking into an idol's apartment just to kill their lawyer. Before I knew it it was already dark out and I was exhausted. I could barely see straight, I ended up falling asleep.

"Jungkookie!"

"Yuna?" I replied confused.

"I really missed you!" She smiled hugely and brought me into a tight warm hug.

"I missed you too." I started to cry.

"Why are you crying? What's wrong?" She asked worried.

"It's all my fault. I'm so sorry." I cried into her neck.

"No it's not. You couldn't have known what was going to happen," she replied.

I looked up at her. Blood started dripping from her head down her face.

"It's all your fault."

"You did this to her!"

"You're a monster and always will be."

Jimin hyung's words, Yuna's sister's words; maybe they're right.

"I love you Kookie and I'll never stop loving you." Yuna said as she slowly started to vanish and I started to wake up. It was pitch black and painfully silent. I rubbed my eyes and started to look through the huge stack of papers that occupied my coffee table again. I looked and looked, over and over again at every last paper but I couldn't find anything. There was nothing. The only hope I had and there was nothing. Could it have been a jealous fan? Did I black out and do it myself? Jimin hyung?
