Present day

The group slowly moved towards the village. As a part of the plan, everyone was pretending to be part of the project rather than security, to not alert the other party.

When they reached the entrance of the village, there was a man already waiting for them.

The man had a scar on his left eyebrow, which gave off a dangerous vibe from him.

" Your purpose for visit?"

" We are from the Greenland project. We are here to check the village and its surroundings." Saying that Yang Ling entered the gate.

Seeing this, the man followed her and others, but he secretly sent an sms. The group, although noticed, kept quiet.

Yang Ling smiled and asked, "What's the name of your village."

The scarred man kept a cold face and answered," Feng water town"

Mu Jiang tilted his head, " And how many people and families live here?"

The man, without answering, took a sharp turn and caught hold of a young man, and asked, " What are you doing here?"

The young man blinked his eyes smiled from ear to ear and answered, " I heard that new people arrived in the town, Brother Mo"

Brother Mo looked at the man helplessly and nodded his head.

" These people came to check the village, they are from the Greenland project."

The young man made an Ohh shape with his mouth and smiled again.

" Let's go," Brother Mo said as he led the group to the village head house.

The medium-sized house was the only big house in the village. An old man walked out when the group arrived.

He welcomed the group into his house. " The government never cared for our village when we needed them the most. Whenever the rains were heavy, the village was always deep in water for days; in the summer, we used to suffer due to the lack of water. Now the same government wants our village."

" The town has given shelter to 300 families, and everyone here is a family. You can build buildings here but don't disturb our town."

Yang Ling pressed her lips," We will not move the village, you don't have to worry. We will just build buildings in the surrounding areas."

Mu Jiang, who was looking out of the window, turned around when he heard this," The construction may impact your houses, is it possible for you to relocate till the construction is done."

" No!!" It was Brother Mo who spoke first. The village head frowned and said, " No, we can't do that."

Yang Ling smiled and said, " It is quite dangerous if you decide to stay here; think about children's safety."

Brother Mo looked at the village head and then turned to the young man and observed his reaction. The young man, on the other hand, was smiling and looking at the group.

Finally taking a deep breath Brother Mo said, " It's almost night, please be careful while you are on your way home."

Taking the hint the group took their leave from the village head. Yang Ling gave a side glance to the young man and frowned but she kept her thoughts to herself.

Yang Ling then took Mu Jiang's hand and started her tantrums.

" Ahh, I am hungry Khan"

Mu Jiang looked at her and asked Brother Mo, " Can you point us toward the best restaurant in the town? We are hungry."

The young man ran out of the house and raised his hand, " I know, I know, I will take you."

Yang Ling nodded her head with tears in her eyes, " You are my savior"

Mu Jiang rolled his eyes and followed the group.

Along the way, they came across many small businesses, and everyone was smiling at the group.

Yang Ling thought ' CREEPY ' 😑

Every member of the group scanned their surroundings; looking at this, the young man smiled, " What do you want to eat?"

Mu Jiang side glanced at him, " Anything is fine"

The young man nodded and pointed toward a small cabin; Mu Jiang, seeing the cabin, frowned, " Can all of us fit?"

The young man nodded his head, " The cabin has an open area behind it. We can sit there."

*Zoom*

Yang Ling dashed into the restaurant without looking back at the group. Khan laughed at her actions, Mu Jiang and others smiled and shook their heads. Only one word came into their mind.
