The PMVC Salesperson!

Jose and his family celebrated that night. In the morning, His father went to his work to submit his resignation letter. Jose was able to convince him to resign from his job.

To avoid attention, his father included in his resignation letter about his health being the reason for his sudden decision. His coworkers can't help but blame his age where sickness started to come.

Despite that, they didn't become suspicious and just thought that his father had some government insurance to back them up. Some even thought that Jose would stop going to college and start working as a call center agent or a service crew in a fast-food restaurant.

Hence, none of them suspected that they were the lucky ones who won on the lottery last night.

After finishing the paper works, his father bid his last farewell from his officemates. They left and headed next to a car showroom. Along the way, they stopped by a mask specialized shop.

They bought a plain black face mask for each of them. The father and son looked like someone who was sick. The masked covered half of their faces that made them unrecognizable.

11:49 AM, December 15, 2031.

It was almost lunchtime for the PMVC salesperson when a Toyota corolla 2027 parked outside their showroom. Everyone looked at each other with a curious look.

"Toyota corolla? 2027 model at the top of that?!"

"Not a costumer! Sam let's go eat lunch!"

"Alright. Jerry, brother can you attend to them? We're really hungry. Besides, they might just look around and leave soon."

Two big bodies salesmen laughed as they went to the employees' only area. That area is where they can take rest on breaks, eat lunch or a snack.

Jerry nodded in response as he placed his phone back to his pockets. He straightened his long sleeves and practiced his smile in the mirror of a car.

"Senior Wakqa gave me another chance. I can't waste it. As he says, a great salesman can sell a luxury car even to middle-class families. I must do my best!"

He cheered as he wore a nice smile whilst awaiting for Jose and his father.

"Heh! If not for Senior Wakqa, the chief would have had him fired long ago."

"You're right. Jerry had zero sales for three months? What can you expect from a former car mechanic?"

" Let's not mind him. I'm hungry, time for lunch!"

"Yeah."

The two salesmen shut the door closed.

In the car...

"Son, Have you verified the lottery ticket already? We need the money if you want to buy one of those modified military-looking cars."

"Don't worry father. I have a plan. Thanks to technology, the money would be instantly transferred to my account upon verification. However, If I verify it now, expert hackers would know about it. Who knows who will leak to whom? And by the time we were able to buy a car, we might be surrounded by people with evil intentions."

"Sigh. I understand son. Let's go."

"Alright."

His father turned the engine off. As they went out of the car, Jerry became astounded by their looks.

"What is with their face masks... Don't tell me~ they are gonna rob us!? No~No~No! Impossible! It is well known that the owner of this company was a former military general. That was why the majority of the vehicles we sell are modified military vehicles. If they rob us, the owner will use his connections and kill them."

Jerry wore a grim face as they get closer to the door.

'What am I thinking? If it comes to worst, the owner won't take this matter lightly.'

Cling! Cling!

The door of the showroom opened

"Welcome to PMVC! I am Jerry Saguro, a sales representative. How can I help you?"

Jerry Saguro bowed slightly, showing respect to Jose and his dad.

"Jerry Saguro?" Jose was astounded. He started to Jerry Saguro as if he had seen a ghost.

'Jerry Saguro? The master mechanic?'

A year after the apocalypse, traveling through the land was very difficult. Hence, transportation through the means of air was the safest and most used.

However, the number of helicopters available was limited. Forcing humans to rely on land travel. Luckily, a mechanic named Jerry Saguro became well known in the bases on Laguna Area. He was known by being able to fix any vehicle of any type.

Even tanks. Later on, he was brought to Laguna military camp and was tasked to maintain and fix vehicles there. Due to doing the same job of fixing vehicles, he was able to modify a Hummer Military Vehicle that was strong enough to push 7 vehicles stacked in front of it.

That modification made him popular. However, the modification was still inferior to a tank and won't be able to withstand a wave of zombies.

"Is there a problem sir? Perhaps you know me?" Jerry asked in a confused manner.

"Oh, it's nothing! I just thought that your name sounds familiar." Jose waved a 'no' towards Jerry.

"Sir must be right, my name Jerry was a common one."

"Hahaha. Indeed. Indeed. Anyway... Can you show us around?"

"Of course. May I ask what you are looking for?"

"My son wanted to look at some of the modified military vehicles available."

"MMVs? This way please."

Jerry Saguro led the two as they had discussions about the vehicles in the showroom. Minutes later, they arrived at a black and shiny Hummer Modified Military Vehicle.

"This is the HUMM-V 20. It's designed to even be submerged up to 5 meters underwater. Its glass is bulletproof and it can even withstand 50 caliber sniper rifle bullet."

"Good! Good!" Jose's father shined in amazement. He can only hear about such cars from the stories of his boss and co-employees.

"Its passenger capacity?"

"Eight people at maximum."

"Eight people? The way I see it, you can fit 12 people in it!" Jose's father commented after having a glance inside the vehicle.

"Sir knows how to joke. Of course, it was estimated at eight people maximum capacity whilst enjoying its luxury. However, the estimated capacity upon remodification would be at 14 people."

"Wow."

Jose's father glanced at Jerry with amazement. Jerry forced out a smile as he started to feel hungry.

"How much?" Jose asked as he sat in its driver's seat as if having a feel of the vehicle.

"Eh?"

Jerry was astounded. He can't help but stare at Jose.

"This... This vehicle cost thirty million pesos. Tax included."

"I see... Can you give me a discount?"

Jerry's heart started to beat in excitement. Some of the rich people didn't like to act grand like others. Because some of the billionaires and millionaires came from a poor family. Being used to their simple lifestyle, some wear simple clothing.

Thinking that Jose was one of those rich but humble people, Jerry got excited.

"Uhm~Uhm... We are currently celebrating the anniversary month so... If sir would immediately do a down payment of five million pesos, and pay the rest in an installment of 5 million per month for five months with zero interest. We can give approximately 3 million pesos discount and deduct it in the last month of paying."

"3 million? not bad..."

"If sir will pay all in, we could give you approximately seven million pesos discount."

"Hmm... That's good, that's good." Jose's father nodded.

"Deal. But... I'll go for the installment."

"If sir says so... I'd have to remind sir, that we would have to take the vehicle back if sir fails to pay on time of the monthly due."

"I have no problem." Jose smiled.

"Then... This way sir." Jerry led them to an office to settle the deal and manage the paper works.
