Chapter 49: Galuna Island

Mira had all her stuff prepared in a suitcase after an hour. Natsu put all the luggage inside his inventory for storage and carried Mira in a princess carry before teleporting to Hargeon Town. He's been there many times so he could quickly teleport there.

Mira enjoyed being carried like a princess, smiling warmly at Natsu. After their arrival, they searched for a ship to take them to Galuna Island. They found none, as they had already expected. All the sailors were terrified of the demon island. They didn't want to risk getting cursed. There weren't even any pirate ships nearby for them to hijack either.

"What do we do now, Natsu? There's no ship to take us to Galuna Island?" Mira asked in frustration. She couldn't believe that there wasn't a single ship heading to Galuna Island. All the sailors were afraid of the cursed island.

"I guess we have no other choice," Natsu replied with a sigh. The only option left for them was flight.

"What do you mean?" Mira tilted her head in confusion. She looked at Natsu cutely with her large blue eyes. Natsu couldn't stop himself from stroking her soft silver hair, causing a dazzling smile to light up her face.

"If we can't get there through the sea, then we'll just have to get there through the air," Natsu replied with a grin, making Mira excited. Her eyes sparkled like two bright stars imagining both of them flying through the night sky while holding each other's hands, but she soon dejectedly shook her head, casting away those stray thoughts when she remembered that her magic capacity wasn't significant enough to allow her to fly the entire way there.

"You don't mean flying all the way there, do you? I'm sorry, but I'll be drained of magic before we even reach there. It's a long way, and I can't hold my flight magic for so long." Mira said with a downcast face. She felt depressed just thinking about it, but Natsu held her shoulders gently, making her look up at him.

"You don't have to use magic. Just hop on my back. I'll carry you there myself." Natsu said before turning his back towards her and crouching. Mira was surprised hearing this but didn't disagree. She jumped onto his back and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you, Natsu. You're so sweet. This is the best ride I could ever have." Mira spoke sweetly with an angelic smile. She was delighted to have such a caring lover.

"Anything for you, sweetheart. Are you ready to depart?" Natsu asked before standing up while holding her thigs tightly. He didn't want to drop Mira, that would be a disaster.

"Of course, let's fly, my dear dragon! Hehe… " Mira answered while giggling. Natsu didn't say anything in return and started flying.

He applied gravity magic to cancel their weight and used his fire magic to propel them forward while applying basic wind magic to cast a barrier around them. He didn't want to make Mira feel uncomfortable during the flight after all. Then, he flew towards Galuna at high-speed.

They made a lot of small talks, joking and flirting along the way. Creating a happy pink atmosphere for both of them.

When they arrived at Galuna Island, it was already dark. There was a purple moon hanging high in the sky that looked quite creepy. Mira felt uncomfortable due to it, so she hugged Natsu even tighter.

"Don't worry. It's just the moon. Let's find Gray and Lucy first," Natsu said, easing her worries. Mira nodded and put her chin on his shoulder, inhaling his scent, allowing her to calm down.

Natsu flew toward the village. On the way, he saw Lucy running toward the village hurriedly with many bruises on her skin. Natsu rapidly approached her, making Lucy alert, but she relaxed when she saw that it wasn't an enemy.

"Hey, Lucy! What happened to you? Why are you in such a hurry?" Natsu asked worriedly. Mira jumped off from his back and looked at Lucy in worry.

"Thank God it's you, Natsu. Everything's bad. The bad guys are going to destroy the village. I need to warn the villagers about it. Please defend the village. I know you can easily beat the bad guys." Lucy said while shaking his body. Natsu held her shoulder firmly and looked at her thoughtfully, making her calm down a bit.

"Calm down, Lucy! Don't worry. We'll help you. Let's go to the village first. We can talk on the way there." Mira said on the side, making Lucy look her Mira curiously. She didn't know that her favorite model was one of the strongest female mages in the guild.

"Where are Gray and Happy by the way? Shouldn't they be with you?" Natsu asked, trying to gain more information.

"He's over there fighting a masked guy. He recognized that guy's voice and wanted me to leave the area. I guess both of them have some sort of history together. Happy is there to make sure Gray can escape if things go south." Lucy answered, looking at Natsu grimly. Natsu sighed and looked at both Lucy and Mira.

"I think you two should head to the village. I'll go check up on Gray," Natsu said, looking at them seriously. Both of them nodded, but Lucy felt strange that Natsu left Mira alone on such a dangerous task. She guessed that Natsu would return after rescuing Gray and help them out.

"Yeah, I'm worried about him. I know he's strong but the masked guy is no pushover either. He used the same Ice-Make magic as Gray. The only difference was that the masked guy only used a single hand to cast the spell." Lucy told them, making Mira surprised. Natsu already knew that the masked guy was Lyon Vastia.

"Then I'll see you later, Mira, Lucy. Please protect the village in my stead," Natsu spoke with a stern countenance. He wanted to reach the temple as soon as possible.

"Don't worry about it, Natsu. Just focus on defeating that masked guy. I'll make sure nobody harms the villagers." Mira said with her fist pumped up, making her look even cuter. Natsu smiled watching her antics and gently kissed her forehead, making Lucy feel embarrassed. Mira gave him a warm smile in return.

"That's good. I'll make sure to reward you properly if you do a good job," Natsu seductively whispered into her ears, making her flinch.

"I'm even more motivated now," Mira answered, gulping. She then turned toward Lucy and declared in a determined tone. "Let's get going, Lucy! We have a village to protect."

She transformed into her satan soul and flew toward the village, carrying Lucy over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Not so fast!!!" Lucy screeched like a siren but Mira didn't stop. After only a few moments, the had disappeared from Natsu's sight.

'I guess it's time to rescue the freezer. I wonder if Deliora is still alive or not? This is not strictly following canon anymore.' Natsu thought while heading toward the temple. He knew that Gray would be somewhere near it.
