When Natsu arrived at the guild, he saw Kagura socializing with other female guild members. He also found her sneakily peeking at Erza, who was eating her strawberry cakes on the counter, as usual, while Mira was busy tending to the customers with a happy smile.
Natsu suddenly had a mischievous idea and sneaked behind Kagura before suddenly scaring her by grabbing her shoulders from the back.
"Kya!!!" Kagura cutely shouted, gaining the attention of everyone in the guild. All of them laughed when they saw me behind her. Natsu winked at the friends Kagura was talking to making them nod their head and leave the two alone.
"Haha, relax Kagura. It's me Natsu." He said while laughing, making Kagura turn her head to look at him with a deep blush on her cheeks.
"Mou… Natsu-sama that was mean. I thought there was a ghost behind me." Kagura said with a cute pout, making Natsu smile while he pinched her cute nose as usual to tease her.
"You're just so much fun to tease," he spoke with a grin, making Kagura roll her eyes before swatting away his mischievous hand from her face.
"Don't pinch my nose, Natsu-sama. Anyway, why are you here? Are you finally going to start training me?" Kagura asked with hopeful eyes, making him a bit surprised. He kind of forgot that he promised to train Kagura making him feel a little guilty, but he still maintained a calm expression so that she wouldn't find out.
"Of course I'm here for that. I'm sorry for the delay but we can start your training starting today, but before that, I want to ask you something." Natsu said making Kagura curious.
"Go ahead, Natsu-sama. What do you want to ask?" She asked with her head cocked like a confused puppy.
"I saw that you kept sneaking a peek at Erza. Do you know her from before?" Natsu asked while fully knowing the answer. He knew that both Kagura and Erza were from the Rosemary village. Kagura was fortunate enough to escape from the slave trafficker due to Erza's sacrifice. He thought both of them would instantly recognize each other, but it looked like he was mistaken. Many things changed with time, and both of them had changed a lot as time passed by. Their appearances, as well as behaviors, had changed a lot from the past, which is especially true for Erza.
"Umm… I may be wrong but I think Erza-san is the same person that saved me from the slave trafficker. There are not many people with crimson hair like hers after all, but I'm still not quite sure whether she's the same person who sacrificed herself for me or not. I remember her being as kind as an Angel, but the one here is as strict as an army general. Besides, as far as I know, she should be at the same place as my brother. I wonder if she knows anything about him." Kagura pondered with a sigh. She wanted to know whether Erza from 'Fairy Tail' was the same girl that saved her many years ago. She needed to thank her properly for her help after all. She also wanted to ask whether Erza knew anything about her brother.
"Hmm… I guess you should talk it out with Erza then. If you keep pondering about it then you'll never find the answer you're looking for." Natsu said with a warm smile while gently patting her head.
"I guess you're right, Natsu-sama. Then, can you please excuse me for today? I need to talk with Erza-san." Kagura asked Natsu for permission. She knew her training was important, but finding information about her brother was even more important.
"Silly girl, you don't need to ask me for permission to speak to Erza. Go ahead, I hope you'll find what you desire." He replied while stroking her soft hair. Kagura happily smiled and bowed a little before heading over to talk to Erza.
Natsu saw Erza and Kagura talking with each other, and after a while Erza became wide-eyed. Erza quickly brought Kagura to a private room for further conversation. He guessed that Erza didn't want anyone to find out about her past.
'Hmm… I guess I should leave Kagura's swordsmanship training to Erza. I can teach her all the basics of gravity magic, but I can't teach her swordsmanship properly since that's not my expertise.' Natsu thought, internally planning out Kagura's training. He wanted only the best for his new student after all. He didn't want to waste her potential by teaching her an unsuitable style of combat.
While he was lost in his thoughts, Natsu heard an elderly voice calling out to him.
"Natsu! Please come with me outside. I'll teach you all I know about 'Fairy Law' in the forest outside of Magnolia." Makarov's voice brought him out of his thoughts. He turned around and found Makarov looking at him sternly.
"Wow! I didn't think you'd agree to teach me so easily gramps. What are you waiting for then, let's get out right away." Natsu said excitedly. He was more than eager to learn one of the three grand magic of fairy tail guild. He wanted to see if he could also modify the spell to suit his tastes, just like Hades did.
Makarov nodded his head before both of them headed outside the guild. They quickly left the town behind and searched for a suitable place to train. Makarov wanted to teach Natsu 'Fairy Law' far away from Magnolia. Who knows what would happen if Natsu whiffed the spell?
Makarov didn't want to take any chances and brought him far away from civilization, deep into the forest. After making sure that they were a suitable distance away from the city, Makarov turned around and looked at Natsu sternly.
"Before teaching you how to cast the spell, let me tell you the history of 'Fairy Law' magic," Makarov said, to which Natsu nodded. Then, he started telling the history of its origin and creation. He explained that the first master of fairy tail, Mavis Vermillion, modified a dangerous incomplete black magic spell named 'Law' to remove the side-effects and create an improved and completed version called 'Fairy Law', which completely obliterates enemies determined by the caster's heart. The drawback was that the spell would use the caster's lifespan as a sacrifice for the greater power.
