Chapter Seventy Eight: A Ritual Fit For A Queen

Elijah's POV: Nadia said we had until the full moon to prepare ourselves. We tried everything to find a way out of this, we needed more time. We couldn't find anything to prevent the ritual. Nadia already started this morning to prepare everything and start the early part of the ritual. Later she said she'd need a blood sacrifice and the white oak stake, which how convenient for us we brought Incase we needed to kill a certain mother! So we were forced to bring it to her, and once she had it all she needed was the blood sacrifice, which would probably be easy for her to find, and Hayley. And once the full moon light hits tonight she'd be ready to turn Hayley into an Original vampire...

Hayley's POV: Omg! I'm totally freaking out, I know I said it'd be cool before, but that was when I thought we'd find a way out of this and everything would be ok. I can't be an original, everyone would be after me like they are with Elijah and Nik sometimes! And what if, what if I die or get hurt or something bad happens. I mean Nadia is killing an innocent person just for this, the blood would be on my hands, why would she want this, just so I'd be "good enough" for Elijah or what? I told Ian all this, since he doesn't know me as the "strong" person Nik and Elijah think I am, he understood me and knows why I'm scared. But he seemed worried that I was so scared, and I don't blame him I am terrified. I wanted to talk to Elijah about all this but since it's his mother I don't think he'd understand the way I see all this! I do love him and being truly immortal with him forever would be a dream come true, but using innocent blood, a weapon that will kill and original, and a full moon to draw extra power. That means it's a tough spell I mean this lady is like 500 years old, she should be strong enough for just about any spell, but that means this one is dangerous...possibly deadly. Oh! What the hell did I get myself into getting into a relationship with a vampire, not to mention an original. Now I'm a vampire, soon to be and original because of all this. And I can only blame myself...

N: It was now time for the ritual...

Elijah's POV: Niklaus, Ian and I took Hayley to the ritual ground, I felt terrible that she'd be going through this. But there is a plus side, we would get to be with each other forever, never worrying about a regular stake standing in the way! Nadia made Hayley stand in a weird circle of salt, used in magic as a power tool I'm pretty sure. Then she brought in the blood sacrifice, it was the new Queen of the Roman country. She was killing a royal bloodline for the ritual! But the thing our "dearest" mother forgot to mention is that in order for the sacrifice to work, she'd have to bring someone back from the dead, an original! She said that since she was forcing all this onto us that we'd be able to choose which original would be brought back. Our first answer was obviously Katerina! Niklaus and I would do anything for our dear sister back. So we told her that, she agreed knowing Katerina was the purest of the original family! But now was something we really didn't expect, after she killed the Queen, she drained her royal blood into a chalice and dipped the stake in it. She told Hayley to drink it and once she was done, the blood dipped white oak stake was stabbed into Hayley's heart!
