Chapter Ninety Two: The New Member

Hayley's POV: I asked the pack to come back to my house so that we could discuss the matter in private, they said that they would come with me happily to find out who their lost member is, and I'm apparently the Alpha right now since my family was werewolf royalty in the pack. I asked Katherine and Kaylee to follow farther behind but cautious, I trust them but I don't know them all that well. So once we got back to my house I invited all 8 of the remaining Tuska's, most were killed by werewolf hunters, into my home, not that they had to be invited in or anything, it was just polite. We walked in and I saw Elijah and Nik standing in the living room, Elijah looked mad and Nik looked sorry that he couldn't stall him forever. I told the pack they could make themselves at home and Elijah asked to speak privately to me...

Elijah's POV: I asked Hayley what the hell the Tuska pack was doing here, all she said was that they were rounding up all the living Tuska's because they were going extinct, she was their Alpha. The leader of the pack, and she also mentioned that they were looking for one more person that was located in Saint Falls from the pack, a male Tuska I guess. Then she threatened me, she said that if I didn't behave she'd make Kaylee break all the bones in my body, I took her seriously since I knew Hayley being pregnant wasn't messing around with threats. So I introduced myself like a polite gentleman, Hayley seemed pleased, that was until I told them I was an Original vampire, the oldest actually. They were shocked that vampires were real. Hayley looked mad however, I guess she didn't mention that she lived, was married to, and was pregnant from a vampire...

Hayley's POV: Wow Elijah, just wow! He had to go and tell them that vampires existed, so since he ruined that, I told them about witches too! They looked shocked but not scared because they were werewolves after all, the toughest around. I introduced them to Kaylee, Katherine and Nik. Then I mentioned how Elijah was my husband and that the baby was his. They sounded like I betrayed them or something, he was just a vampire witch dude. Not a big deal. Anyway, they said that we needed to start locating the last member of the Tuska's before tomorrow at midnight, on the full moon! We started by having Katherine go look for any mark on Matt besides the hunters mark, and since we were looking for a male we rounded up all the males in the town. It's a small town so it was pretty easy only taking a few hours. Then they told me something I wish I would've known a long time ago, the male Tuska is the same age as me. So I named off all the males that were the same age as me, or how old I would be anyway. Then I crossed off all that have left town since most graduated and left. That left only about 11 males to look for. We checked all of them, only two left to check. Tanner, the mayors son, which I highly doubt it's him, and a guy named Brad from the football team. We checked Brad at his house, it wasn't him which means that Tanner must be or we missed someone! But I've known Tanner my whole life, there's no way...

Katherine's POV: I went with Hayley and the man she met in the pack. We went to check Tanners house and when we rang the doorbell we asked if we could come in, Tanners mother was so lovely and nice enough to invite vampires into her house. She showed us Tanners room and we went up there, he recognized Hayley, and didn't realize she was pregnant. He and Hayley caught up a bit making conversation about how their lives were going and when the moment was right Hayley asked what the mark on his arm was, he lifted up his arm so that she could see clearly and we were right, the last Tuska was Tanner. He said that it was a birthmark that some of his ancestors had, and his late father. The man came only to make sure we were doing our job, now it was my turn to step in, I asked Tanner if he'd tell us more about the mystery mark, then he said that there were stories about it passed down to him by his father and grandfather, about how there was some sort of "curse" involved. He said everything was going pretty good so he didn't believe them. Tanner was an only child so I asked him if it was just his mom home. He said yes, so then I told him that he indeed had a curse, a werewolf curse. Well more like a gene is what I told him. Then Hayley started talking again, since Tanner trusted her and was a close friend with her she said that he needed to listen carefully to what she needed him to do. She then told him that he needed to kill his mother, in order to trigger the werewolf curse. He was freaking out, that's when Katherine ran downstairs, grabbed his mother and compelled her to not move or scream. Then Hayley said that he needed to snap her neck. He got up with a tear draining from his eye, he said sorry and before his mother could ask why he snapped her neck easily, with the gene he was stronger even before the curse is triggered since the Tuska's are so powerful. Then he saw his mother laying lifeless on the ground and fell to his knees, Hayley said not to worry because he had a new family. We then took Tanner back to Hayley and Elijah's house where he met the rest of the pack, and he was told that Hayley was the Alpha...

Hayley's POV: I told Tanner everything he needed to know about the pack and how powerful he was now and about turning tomorrow night. The pack hand made necklaces and rings that had a special stone that made it so that after the first transition the werewolves wouldn't have to turn ever again. He seemed relieved after that. And then I told him about vampires and witches. Just basic stuff and who was what and what my baby was. Pretty much everything he could possibly need to know. He was shocked, but happy he now had a new family! But when I told him what my baby was the pack heard and I suddenly realized I didn't tell them that my baby wasn't just a werewolf. So I explained everything to them as well. They understood and agreed with needing to protect the baby. After all, I'm the Alpha, they do as I say. And we're a pack, we ride together, we die together...
