Chapter Ninety Six: A Tough Beginning

Elijah's POV: Now that Hayley put herself into a linked sleeping coma, I had to raise our baby all by ourselves. There was no way Annabelle was being raised without her mother, she needs a role model when she's older. So I decided that I'd keep Tanner here without letting him know about the link and in a few years, or more than few, once Annabelle is older, I'll kill Tanner and wake Hayley up...

Katherine's POV: Everyone was still sad about Hayley not being with us, but we've been doing fine raising Annabelle, even though it's only been a couple days, everything's gone smoothly so far. Well, besides Elijah having a mental break down about not being able to see his wife for another half century, he's been trying to lock himself in a coffin and desiccated until Hayley wakes up, but we've been reminding him that he's he only true parent Annabelle has right now and that she needs her father. It's been rough and a little rocky, but I know things will work out, they always do, and in 60 years Hayley will wake up, Annabelle May or may not still be alive. But what still shocks me is that Annabelle will be able to keep aging if she drinks blood normally, and she'll only stop aging when she dies, whether that's 15 years from now, or 20, she'll want to be alive to see her mother, of mine wasn't such a...well witch, then I would too...

Klaus's POV: We all wanted to help Elijah raise the baby, and we dare. It's just hard because now we're all living under the same roof again and it's like nothing has changed since before Hayley entered our lives, except now there was her and Elijah's child around. I just know that this baby will truly bring back the promise they all made to each other 500 years ago, and when they renewed it once I joined them. Annabelle would be our savior, the lifeboat that pulls us from the deep waters we've drowned in all these years filled with hatred and vengeance! And non of us could be happier...

Hayley's POV: ...

Elijah's POV: I made a deal with Kaylee, she'd desiccate me in a coffin right next to Hayley until she wakes up, I told her to keep a boundary spell on the doors so that nobody could get in, but anyone in while the spell is out on can get out. I asked if she'd keep it a secret until the spell was up. And that she needed to keep Katerina and Niklaus in line to help raise my baby. I hated that I was going to leave her, but I had to be with Hayley, I don't even deserve a child after all the horrible things I've done in my life. I just want to desiccate next to my sleeping beauty. Well sleeping vampire wife but still! We'd do the spell tomorrow...

N: The next day...

Kaylee's POV: Elijah and I were preparing for the spell, he said that his siblings wouldn't harm me no matter what. That made me feel better. The spell only breaks when I break it or if I die, which neither will happen until Hayley wakes up. I set up candles and salt all around me, I had Emily's spell book centered so I could read the spell off it. First I had to put Elijah in the coffin, then I'd shut it, and using a spell I'd desiccate him, and finally I'd seal the boundary spell so nobody could get in. I was inside so I could make sure Elijah desiccated properly. And then I'd perform the spell and leave the room to tell Katherine and Klaus what I did. I definantly wasn't looking forward to that part of this whole mess...

Elijah's POV: I promised Hayley always and forever, I promised that when we married, and I wouldn't be keeping my word as I always do if I didn't lay next to her and sleep for as long as she did. And with that I had Kaylee start the spell, she was mumbling some witchy words which meant she was doing as instructed. I got inside the coffin, I felt the black and blue veins starting to run up my body, and before I knew it I desiccated and closed my eyes for a very very long, hungry nap...

Kaylees POV: I finished desiccating Elijah and started the boundary spell...I just finished the spell and as soon as I walked out of the room and into the living room I saw Katherine tapping her foot with her arms folded. Uh oh. She knew what I did...

Katherine's POV: I heard everything that happened downstairs with Elijah and Kaylee. I asked Kaylee what the hell she just did even though I knew, she told me without hesitation that Elijah asked her to desiccate him so he could be with Hayley until she woke up, and that he said Kaylee, me, Ian and Nik all get to take care of Annabelle and whenever we felt like waking him up we'd have to kill Tanner because he wouldn't wake up without her and Kaylee isn't allowed to break the spell until Hayley wakes. I didn't really care because I knew a way to break the spell without killing Tanner, respecting Hayley's wishes and Elijah's orders for Kaylee not to break the spell, I'll just kill Kaylee! So without a second thought I ran up to her, pushed her up against the wall by her throat so she couldn't mumble any witchy things, and with a gorgeous vampire face I snapped her neck with ease...

Klaus's POV: I walked into the living room with Annabelle ready to give her to Elijah when I saw Kathrine dropping a lifeless Kaylee from her grasp onto the floor. I shielded Annabelle's eyes even though she didn't know what was going on, I asked Katherine what she was doing. She said Elijah tried to desiccate himself next to Hayley and Kaylee used a desiccation and a boundary spell. But the spell was bonded only by Kaylees life so Katherine killed her to break the spell since Elijah ordered her not to until Hayley woke up. I put Annabelle in her crib for her to sleep, Katherine and I ran downstairs to wake up our irresponsible older brother, except Kaylee knew better. She didn't bind the spell to her life as she said, she binded it to a comet, a comet that comes by every 60 years, that way when Hayley wakes up, the spell would brake and Elijah could wake up. The boundary spell and desiccation spell were both binded to it! Now we couldn't do anything to stop him from laying next to Hayley for the next 60 years and we had to figure out a way to get Kaylee back...
