Welcome children, to yet another gruesome tale. As I said in the last one... these are not for the weak. If you want a beautiful tale of a winter night with the snow falling peacefully, well... your in the wrong place. Be warned that blood and death and detailed wounds will be in this tale. Without further ado..
this is blood-stained snow.
There sat three young children, in front of a blazing fire, in a cozy little house at the end of a small street consisting of about 8 houses. Rosewood cottage i beleive it was, was always calm and peaceful. As was all the other houses on carterby fields. Two 13 year old boys and one 9 year old girl sat inside the rosewood cottage sipping hot cocoa. They silently watched "A Christmas Carol" with their two parents who sat on the small sofa. After the movie ended the two boys collected all 5 of the cocoa mugs and placed them into the sink, the young girl stood up flicking her two long blonde braids onto her back. "Goodnight mama. Goodnight papa. Have a safe journey tonight." She said. The two blonde boys walked In and his their farewells to their parents too, and promised to care for their younger sister. As the three waved at the door to their parents who were driving out to a special dinner tonight they wished their parents wouldn't go as the weather was said to be worse than predicted that night... but it wasn't just the weather that was going to be bad as the night itself also was . . .
The two young boys Andre and kyle Shepherded their younger sister maddie to her bed and tucked her in. They said goodnight and retreated to their own room. Thier room was normal but something seemed off. The curtains were how they had left them and the bed sheets. They said goodnight to each other and slipped into bed. Neither of them noticed the red liquid dripping from the roof creating a curtain of blood and staining the crisp white, undisturbed snow.
the hours ticked by quietly, all the while something- or someone, was planning something sinister. The wind did not pick up and no animals sounded. Not even the barking hound from next door. The children did not stir- that is until they heard a scream of terror. Maddie woke up first, scared. She pattered quietly along the short distance to her brothers' room and slipped inside. "Brothers? D-did you hear that?" She asked frightened by the scream. "Yes Maddie, we did. Don't worry it was probably just the neighbour's telly turned up too loud." Kyle assured her but she wasn't convinced. Something about it was creating a chill down her spine despite being inside and in warmth.
her brother Andre sighed and said she could sleep in his bed so she wouldn't be alone and he would go in her room. She nodded and the switched rooms. Despite the fact that her brother was with her she couldn't stop the chill spreading through her. She knew something was wrong. But what? She soon fell into a nightmarish sleep. Half an hour later the second blood curdling scream came from across the street. It was so loud that the whole street heard it, however many assumed it was the neighbors messing around. Maddie woke with a start at the noise and turned to see Kyle sat bolt up right and shouting for Andre.
"Shhh you two!" Andre barked at them. He made them both sit on the bottom bunk while he went to fetch his father's axe. He came back holding it, determined to protect them. A loud knocking at the door could be heard. None of the children dared to move, or breath. The knocking became louder and angrier. Maddie choked back a horrified sob while Kyle comforted her silently. "CRASH!!" there goes the old oak door... the winter chill rushing in and freezing their toes and fingertips. Andre put a finger to his lips signalling to be quiet and pointed to the window. Kyle unlatched it and pushed it as wide as possible. "Thud, thud, thud." The heavy footsteps of someone unfamiliar. Andre slipped through the window, the snow under his bare feet felt more like a sludge. "Thud, thud, thud." The steps becoming heavier and louder . Maddie easily slipped through, due to her small size. After her came Kyle who closed and pinned the window from the outside. Maddie gaped in horror at the ground and the boys looked down too. Blood. A ghastly mixture of blood and snow creating a red sludge. The children's feet, soaked in the blood, Maddie's crisp white socks now ombred with red. Drips of blood fell in their hair and stained streaks of it. "SLAM!" their bedroom door slammed open and there stood, in the doorway, a figure dressed entirely in black. It stared at them with- wait. It couldn't have been staring at them without any eyes could it? Never the less that's how it was. The children ran thigh deep in snow, slowing them down. The eyeless intruder hot on their trail. It didn't seem to slow down no matter how deep the snow was. They ran into a thin ankle high layer of snow but by then it had caught up....
It had a knife. A sharp knife indeed it was. In one swift movement it had stabbed Kyle in the stomach who had pushed Maddie out of the way. It slowly, tourturously twisted the knife 360° and pulled it out. It then slashed Andre's legs so that he could no longer stand, Kyle layed on the ground motionless. Andre cried out with a thunderous scream, as the murderous being sliced down his back and grabbed his spine. It ripped out the spine, taking with it, the lungs and heart and anything connected. Throwing Andre's body aside he turned to Maddie.
the thing came towards her. It's eyeless stare piercing her soul. Before maddie new what had happened she had been lifted up and chucked in the same bag as the creature had put her brothers organs. She struggled not to puke and tried to see through the material, but it was impossible.
A few days later and the parents where still mourning their loss. They looked out the window and said goodbye to their three dead children- or so they thought. They headed to bed and were just drifting off into an uneasy sleep when they heard a small patter of wet feet. As they sat up and looked at the door it opened, and there in the doorway stood their lost baby girl. Maddie eyes were crazed but in thier burst of happiness they didn't notice. They also didn't notice the knife in maddie hand as they lept up to hug her. Sadly, the mother did notice the blade eventually, for it had been stabbed through her chest. The mother fell, lifeless to the floor. As did the father after being stabbed through the throat. Maddie smiled and began cutting them open. She took out their organs and put them in a bag. The same bag she had been put in a few nights before. After all the organs were packed away she peered into the bag. She pulled out her mother's heart and took a bite. Her mouth stretches into a wide grin as she continues eating and begins her way back to the man and place she now calls family and home.
