Drive

Jungkook finally came out of the bathroom changed and ready to go.

"Okay hyung, let's go," said Jungkook.

"Alright," replied Jimin.

Jimin and Jungkook went through the large double doors at the end of the hall to the elevators and finally were able to leave. Jimin pressed the down button and as they were waiting Jungkook asked Jimin something unsuspected.

"Hey, hyung? I was wondering, why haven't mother and father come back since the day I woke up?" He asked.

Jimin sighed. "I was waiting for a better time to tell you but I suppose there really isn't ever a "good time" but they got into an accident on their way back to their hotel. They were both killed." Jimin tried to contain his hurt and agony.

"Oh I'm so sorry hyung, I didn't mean to make you upset, it's just that ever since I woke up everything about my life had been a blur and I just wish I remembered who they were and how we were as a family, but I guess I may never get that chance now," said Jungkook worried and unhappy.

"Jungkook it's okay, we will get through this, you will remember again." Jimin paused for a second. "I promise."

The elevator doors opened and they got on. Jimin pressed the button for the parking garage and they stood there silently.

After what seemed like hours of awkwardness the elevator finally reached the garage and the doors opened. They got off and went to Jimin's car. Jimin took Jungkook's things and put them in the trunk, as Jungkook got in on the passenger side. He closed the trunk and got in on the drivers side. He pushed the start button and started the engine. As they headed out onto the highway, Jungkook suddenly remembered something.

"Whoa, this is a really nice car, hyung must be loaded," Jungkook whispered to himself. "But, Why can't I remember you?"

"So Jungkook anything come to mind yet?" Asked Jimin breaking the silence.

"No not really," Jungkook sat there quiet again.

As Jimin got off of the highway and onto the freeway Jungkook remembered again what he remembered before.

"Actually, hyung, now that you mention it I do remember one thing, I remember this freeway, weren't we on it when the accident happened?" Asked Jungkook.

Jimin got wide eyed. "Yeah, it's kind of a bad place to remember, but I'm glad you're at least remembering now," replied Jimin as he was still looking forward.

"No, hyung, it's not, it's a good place to remember, because I remember why we were here and on our way to Los Angeles," said Jungkook.

"What? What do you mean?" Asked Jimin sounding a little confused.

"Hyung I remember hearing you talk to me in the hospital when I was asleep, I heard you." Jungkook paused for a moment. "You said that it was your fault that I was in the coma and that you hate yourself for it."

He paused again.

Jimin just sat there in silence, wide eyed and speechless. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out.

"Hyung, what I'm saying is that I don't blame you for me being in the coma," Jungkook continued.

"But, kookie, it's my fault that we were even going to L.A. I should've been the one in the coma," said Jimin.

"Hyung, please stop, it's not you who is at fault it's the person who hit us that should be at fault," Jungkook replied.

Jimin smiled a little at Jungkook and continued to drive until they got to a rural area where not many people lived and came to a huge gated mansion. Jimin pushed a button that opened the iron gates leading into the front of the mansion where he parked the car.

"Whoa, hyung really is loaded." Jungkook said quietly without even thinking.

"No, Jungkook it's not all my money. When mother and father died they left all there money and estates to me and you. So we are loaded."

He paused.

"Jungkook, I was hoping you would remember this place, this is where we grew up. Go in. I'll bring your stuff and show you to your room. Then maybe I'll Give you a tour around the house," said Jimin.

Jungkook did as he was told and Jimin went to the back of his car and grabbed Jungkook's bag. He locked the car and he went into the house after him.

He put jungkook's bags at the bottom of the grand staircase and went into the living room where he found Jungkook. He looked so mesmerized and actually a little happy at what he saw.

"Hyung!! I remember being here when we were younger. We would play over there by the fireplace. When mom and dad were working and when Taehyung would visit."

Jimin stood there silent and crying.

"Hyung? Are you okay?" Asked Jungkook worried.

"I'm fine," said Jimin still crying.

"Why are you crying?" He asked.

"Don't worry Kookie, these are happy tears," Jimin replied.

He ran to him and hugged him tightly. At sometime he eventually let go and stopped crying. He helped Jungkook to his bedroom.

"Oh, and happy birthday Kookie." Before Jungkook could reply, Jimin closed the door behind him and disappeared to his room.

Jimin called Jin.

"Hyung?"

"Yeah," replied Jin.

"He remembers," said Jimin.

"Already? This is faster than I thought," replied Jin. "But this is good, just keep taking him to places that have meaning and he is bound to remember."

"When can I take him to see people?" Asked Jimin.

"Not too soon he still needs to process," replied Jin.
