Bianca He eyed the woman with slightly disheveled hair.

'She looks so ordinary. How did she manage to make Zhao Mingzhe marry her?' she thought.

She was shocked seeing the next scene.

Zhao Mingzhe came close and brushed the unruly locks of the woman using his fingers. Then he kissed her on the forehead.

'This can't be happening!' Bianca He thought. The proud CEO had never lowered himself to do such things. He should retain his dignity.

Cynthia Mu had always been elegant and presentable. She will never let him fix her hair.

Bianca He stared at the couple until they went out of her sight.

She tapped on her phone to dial a number.

.

Han Yixin slept through the car ride, as if she did not sleep enough on the plane ride.

After about half an hour of nap, she was tapped awake by the man beside her.

"Xiao Xin...we're here." Zhao Mingzhe supported his wife so she could sit up properly. She had been lying with her head on his chest during the car ride.

Han Yixin yawned and rubbed her eyes. She scanned her surroundings.

Then her eyes widened. "Eh?"

"We're here." As if reading her mind, Zhao Mingzhe seemed to confirm before she even spit out her question.

She hurriedly combed her hair with her fingers, then she tried hard to assess how she looked through the rearview mirror.

Then she hastily searched her bag.

Zhao Mingzhe frowned. She never bothered to doll up when she was about to meet him. Does she have someone she likes here?

Finally, Han Yixin dugged the colored lip balm out of her bag, almost turning it inside out.

She quickly dabbed some over her lips and smacked them together.

She checked herself in the mirror again, and sighed just as soon as the car came to a stop.

Zhao Mingzhe's expression dimmed. If he finds out that she was making all this effort to please another man, he might break his neck.

Han Yixin looked at him when he remained seated, staring at her.

"Ah Zhe, let's go." She was really excited.

Since she could not wait for him to get off from his side door, she moved to open the other passenger door and stepped out onto the paved driveway.

Zhao Mingzhe's look turned murderous.

In the next moment though, his blazing aura was extinguished when she opened the door for him and dragged him out.

"C'mon, I'm gonna show you around!" She seemed like a child showing her father the treehouse she built.

Zhao Mingzhe could not help but smile as she dragged him away with her.

The receptionists at the hotel lobby had all eyes widened when they saw the couple.

Han Yixin went over with a smile.

"Welcome back, Manager." The ladies in uniform behind the desk greeted.

"Hello! Is Noveau in?" Han Yixin asked.

They looked at one another. Finally, one of them was rational enough to dial the phone.

"A moment, Manager Han." she said, with the phone already on one ear.

They all eyed the tall handsome man beside their boss.

Zhao Mingzhe was not naive but would not care less for those stares. Though he kept his pokerface on, he was secretly hoping that the first person his wife looks for when they arrive is a woman.

His wild imagination actually dismissed this thought since even a woman could have romantic feelings for his wife. Not to mention that they are in a foreign country with more liberated point of views.

In short, he is still irritated that she asked for another person when she was supposed to show him around.

To his dismay, the person came shortly, and it was a man.

Brad Noveau is a tall European man with a clean look and sleek fashion sense. He is a supervisor in charge of the events booked within the hotel. From weddings to company celebrations, he would make sure that these clients will come back for their next event. Being so, he is technically Han Yixin's right hand man.

He wiped off the sweat from his forehead as he briskly walked towards them.

"Manager Han, I didn't know you'll be back so soon." He extended his arms to embrace her.

Han Yixin smiled and responded, tapping his back a couple of times before letting go.

Zhao Mingzhe frowned. He was quite aware, if not accustomed, to western greetings. However, this simple gesture seemed to irritate him too much.

He glared at the man who dared to touch his wife in front of him.

Brad Noveau notice the deathly stare the man was flashing towards him.

"Manager, this..." Brad Noveau tried to ask his boss.

Han Yixin turned to look at her husband. She forgot that she needed to introduce him since she brought him along.

"Oh...uhm, this...he's just..." She was going to say 'a friend'.

"I'm her husband, Zhao Mingzhe." Zhao Mingzhe introduced himself and offer a hand to shake.

"Brad Noveau." the other man took the hand and shook it firmly.

He was shocked, but he contained his emotions quickly. When his boss told him that she would go on an indefinite leave to get married, she sounded like she was joking.

"Manager, are you reporting back today?" Brad Noveau tried to make some conversation to evade the stare.

"Uh, no yet." Han Yixin replied. "I..." She glanced at Zhao Mjngzhe again. "We...we just came to visit. He wanted to know what I do here, so I guess I'll be showing him around." She had an awkward smile.

Zhao Mingzhe furrowed his brows more. 'You guess?' he thought. It sounded like she was forced to show him around given the circumstances.

Did she not want to come to this place? Did his presence make it difficult for her since she had to 'show him around'?

Zhao Mingzhe took her hand. "Then, shall we get going?" He had a diplomatic smile.

"Uhm...Manager, I'm sorry. I have to excuse myself. I will be meeting a client in ten minutes." Brad Noveau explained.

"Oh, alright. Go ahead then. Make sure you secure a booking." Her words contained a tinge of pressure.

"I will, Manager." Then Brad Noveau turned to the man who was staring daggers at him. "Mr. Zhao."

Zhao Mingzhe slightly nodded to dismiss him. He kept a neutral face, but he was suddenly delighted to have his time with his wife.

"Ah Zhe, let's go to the kitchen!" Han Yixin looked even more excited than when she found out that they were coming to Country F.

She took his hand again and dragged him away.
