Love Your Cooking

"Young Madam..." the flight attendant was hesitant to wake her up but she had to. "Young Madam..." she made her voice a bit louder.

Han Yixin finally woke up. She dozed off just about half an hour ago so she was confused why she felt like she have not slept long, yet the flight attendant is waking her up. It means they will be landing soon. They could not be in Europe already, can they?

"Young Madam, we will be landing shortly." the flight attendant felt guilty for waking her up when she only had a wink of sleep.

"Hmmn..." Han Yixin nodded, seemingly still half-asleep.

The landing was smooth and straight into the hangar as it was a private jet.

The flight attendant took all the baggage and transferred them to the Porsche Macan that was waiting for them.

When she went back into the plane, she saw that the Young Madam was asleep again.

She hurriedly went up to her. "Young Madam, please don't sleep anymore. We've already landed." She was anxious and did not know what to do.

Then she felt a presence behind her back. She turned around and saw the CEO. "C..."

He gestured for her to be quiet and dismissed her with a nod.

She nodded back and dragged the young co-pilot out of the plane.

Zhao Mingzhe sighed. He removed her seatbelt and gently lifted her from her seat.

She groaned as she was moved. Then she uttered, "Zhao...Ming-zhe...hate...you..."

He almost thought of dropping her awake, but this could get him killed.

So he lightly chuckled and carried her down the plane and into the car.

"Let's go." he ordered the driver as he held her in his arms at the backseat.

"Yes, Young Master." the middle aged driver drove away into the city.

The city is bustling with all sorts of business transactions.

As they drove by, Zhao Mingzhe noticed the iconic bakeshop with a long queue.

"Stop the car." he ordered.

The driver immediately stepped on the break.

Zhao Mingzhe embraced his wife to prevent her body from tossing forward. Then he laid her gently so she can comfortably lie on the backseat.

"Wait here." he told the driver as he stepped out of the car and into the crowd.

The middle-aged driver watched as his proud Young Master patiently queued with everyone else to purchase baked goods.

He wondered if it was worth the effort. 'Isn't the Young Madam a pastry chef? Would she like a baked product bought from a store?'

As the driver was contemplating, the Young Master was back with two boxes.

Zhao Mingzhe adjusted his wife back into his embrace and placed the boxes on the seat beside her.

"To the hotel now." he ordered.

"Yes, Young Master." the driver drove away as told. He was wondering why the Young Master seemed to have bought too much.

"Han Yixin..." Zhao Mingzhe tapped her shoulders to wake her up.

She sleepily opened her eyes. "Hmmnn...where are we?"

"Carrying you asleep into the hotel might raise suspicion that I kidnapped you. Let's go and check in." He supported her to get up and out of the car, maintaining an arm around her shoulders.

"Good evening, Sir, Ma'am..." the receptionist eyed them as she greeted with a smile. The sun just set when they arrived. "Do you have a reservation?"

"The signature suite, under Zhao Mingzhe." he declared.

"Oh, right this way, Sir...Madam..." the receptionist herself led them to the room.

Before they were led upstairs, he took one of the boxes he just bought on their way from the middle-aged driver.

"Young Master, this one..."

"Uncle Huang, you can bring the other box home to your family. We will be resting here tonight. I will call you back tomorrow."

"Thank you, Young Master! I...I'll bring the car back tomorrow." the older man almost cried in front of his boss. He bowed before leaving.

Han Yixin looked dazedly towards her husband. 'This guy is often aloof, but he treats his people well.'

They continued following the receptionist to the elevator and into the large hallway leading to the rooms.

The half asleep Han Yixin became wide awake as she saw that there was a private pool inside their room.

"The menu for the room service are here. If you have any questions, the reception area is only a call away. Someone will tend to your needs any time of the day." With that, the receptionist completed the briefing of the room amenities, and she excused herself when the gentleman nodded in acknowledgment.

"Woah! Nice view!" Han Yixin touched an area of the floor to ceiling windows as she admired the cityscape.

Zhao Mingzhe sat on the sofa and browsed the menu.

As if remembering something, she turned around and walked towards him.

"Hey, this isn't Country F!" she had both arms on her waist like a nagging wife.

"I never told you that I'm bringing you there." he nonchalantly replied as he turned another page of the menu.

She is not actually surprised. She just wanted to find fault in him again. She pouted.

Then she sat next to him and looked through the menu as well.

"I can cook that...and that!" she pointed on the different cuisines in the menu, like a kid who likes to show off.

"You can, but you won't!" Zhao Mingzhe was a little bit irritated, but he actually found her adorable. He adjusted his voice so he could pretend to scold his wife.

She pouted like an abandoned puppy.

He patted her head with the hand he protectively placed at the backrest of the area where she was seated on the sofa, making the gesture quite intimate.

"I want to pamper my ferocious wife right now. I love your cooking, but you have to leave it to the chefs here right now."

She blushed. "You...you love my cooking?" she shyly asked.

"I believe I had put on a few pounds within the week." he chuckled.

Then his face turned serious. "Han Yixin...I want to make this marriage work. I know that us getting together is not out of love, but maybe...maybe we could learn to..."

And at that crucial moment, rumbling stomachs interrupted the conversation.
