Donna Yang woke up early in the morning because her phone was ringing non-stop.
She grumpily answered, "What do you want?!"
"What are you doing?!" The man from the other end sounded even angrier.
Donna Yang beautiful face contorted. "Thomas Leung! What the heck are you talking about?! Why are you calling so early?! If you don't have anything to do, find someone else to bother!"
The man kept silent for a moment.
Donna Yang was about to hang up when he uttered words.
"Are you really going to marry that guy?" The man's voice became calm, with a tinge of sadness in it.
Donna Yang was taken aback. This man never conceded in all the arguments they had. That was why she had to divorce him. 'Why is he sounding defeated now?' she thought.
The man kept his silence, awaiting her answer.
She frowned. 'What is he trying to do?'
After a couple of minutes of silence, the man spoke again, "Guess you are. Sorry to bother you." Then he hung up.
Donna Yang had wide eyes. He did not even bother about her answer and assumed things.
Well, he was actually right about her getting married. She just accepted the proposal last night.
Wait, how could he know that? It was a secret proposal with only a photographer to capture the moment. No family or friends to witness.
She took a deep sigh and pondered for a moment. She is wide awake and confused now.
She frowned as she looked at the ring snuggly fitting her left ring finger. Su Jiancheng really proposed to her last night. Was she stupid enough to say 'yes' to him too soon?
Thomas Leung even called her! However he might have found out, he might think she is a wild woman!
'Oh wait...he already thought I was like that, even before he married me.' she remembered.
'But he knew I was pure when I gave him my virginity! Sh**, he will think that I am desperate to get another man!' she thought.
Donna Yang scratched her head wildly and shouted incomprehensible sounds.
Then she bit her lip and tapped on her phone to make a call.
...
.
.
"Hey...what...what are you looking at?" Han Yixin felt creeped out. She had just come out of the shower and was drying her hair with a towel.
Zhao Mingzhe, who sat on their bed, had been staring at her from the tip of her hair to the tip of her toes without saying anything for minutes.
Suddenly, his eyes moved to hers.
"I'm trying to memorize your profile, so that I can recognize you even when you turn your back from me." he declared nonchalantly.
They had just returned home after he managed to pacify her with great food at an exclusive restaurant. He had yet to find out what his ex told his wife.
"You're a jerk!" She turned her back on him and sat before the dresser. She took the hair dryer, plugged it in and started drying her hair.
Suddenly, he took the dryer from her hand and started tossing her hair about.
Han Yixin lowered her head to conceal the smile, but the mirror still betrayed her.
Zhao Mingzhe smiled. This is the cute side of his wife.
After her hair had dried, he patiently and gently brushed her locks. Then he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and placed his head near hers. He looked at his wife in the mirror.
"Xiao Xin..."
"Hmmn?" she looked back at his image in the mirror.
"Can you tell me what Cynthia Mu told you?"
Han Yixin's eyes widened, then dimmed. She kept silent and lowered her head.
"Xiao Xin...please..." He held her tighter.
"I'll tell you...if you tell me why you broke up." Han Yixin looked back at him through the mirror, this time with a stern face.
Zhao Mingzhe sighed. "She wanted to transfer to another airline...which she did. She said...it would be good to have no strings attached. Later on, I found out that..."
"I'm listening." Han Yixin encouraged him.
"She is living with an executive of that company." he managed to finish.
"Oh...so she just switched from one boss to another." Han Yixin mocked.
Zhao Mingzhe frowned.
"So...why does she call you out every now and then...for a civil, diplomatic 'eating outside' session?" Han Yixin probed further.
"She...she needed to rant her grievances every now and then. She had few friends...mainly because I was with her..."
"Or maybe people knew that she's a bit**..." Han Yixin chuckled.
"Xiao Xin..." Zhao Mingzhe's tone was about to scold her.
"Well, she told me that you will first call out the name of the one whom you truly love when you see the two of us." she declared.
Zhao Mingzhe was taken aback.
"So...you still think that your ex is as innocent as how she tries to portray?"
He recovered himself. "She never played innocent. I knew her nature. That's why I was certain she told you something."
"Oh..." Han Yixin raised her brow, then she pouted. "Then why are you still defending her?"
"I am not!"
"Yes, you are! Just now, you were about to scold me, weren't you?!"
"Hey, hey...I was scolding you for uttering a bad word..." Zhao Mingzhe felt injustice.
"Saying bad things about her..?" Han Yixin teased.
"No! I'll curse her all I want...don't let those words leave your mouth!"
"Why? You don't think your wife is innocent and pure, do you?"
He smirked, then helped her up from the chair so she stands before him. "Of course not."
Zhao Mingzhe restrained her with his arms and kissed her passionately.
Han Yixin pulled away before she becomes out of breath. "Zhao..."
"Is that how you call me?" his deep voice was teasing her.
"Ah Zhe..."
Zhao Mingzhe bit his lip. "Dam***! I want you! Now!"
He lifted his wife and laid her on the bed as he continued to kiss her. Then his kissed roamed around to make his wife surrender.
