Chapter 7

The road was clear, except for a young girl in a school uniform bicycling. There were trees all over the place, it was tall and covers the warm sun. The journey was endless, until she stopped in front of a metal gate, adorned with roses and vines. She looked at it for a while before noticing the doorbell beside the gate.

She came down her bicycle and went forward. She pressed the doorbell, and waited for an answer.

(Kelsea's POV)

"Who is this?" An unknown person with a woman's voice says.

"Hi, I'm Kelsea Venus, the transfer student." I answered.

"Come in." The person said.

BEEP!

I went back to the middle of the road, waiting for the gate to open. As it gaped open, there was a BOOM sound that made me look up at the sky.

'I hope it doesn't rain.'

I took my eyes off from the sky and with my bicycle beside me, I took off. There weren't much to see, just trees and plains. That's what I thought, but then I saw it.

'Wow, this place is beautiful.' So this is the most prestigious school in the world.

The buildings were made from bricks and stones. And this made my love for history kick in. But what drew my attention the most was the church at the very center. It was beautiful.

'Why wasn't there any pictures of this church?' It feels like home. I kept looking at it until I heard someone clearing their throat.

I took my eyes off the church and noticed a woman dressed as a nun. She had black eyes, straight long nose like an eagles beak and thin lips.

"Oh, hello, it's nice to meet you." I waited for her to say something.

She turned her back and told me "Follow me."

'How rude, is everyone like this here?'

I didn't say anything because I knew I would only say something rude to her. The thought left my head when I followed her inside the church. If the outside was beautiful, then the interior was beyond gorgeous. I noticed different colors of light coming down from the ceiling. There at the center of the ceiling were intricate designs made from glass, and at the top of it was a rusty bell.

'Amazing' I thought.

I was so focused on the ceiling that I didn't notice the person in front of me stopped. I bumped her back before I could stop.

"I'm s-so sorry." I apologized hurriedly.

"Hmph...Rude girl" She looked back at me and told me sneeringly and looked at the front again.

'I didn't notice we took a turn' I thought.

She knocked three times on a wooden door with a cross hanging in the center.

"Come in " Someone said behind the door.

The nun turned to me and gestured for me to go in. Then she left. I looked at her back, hoping that the person inside was kinder. I opened the door and closed once I was inside.

"Sit down." She said. The place inside was filled with books and parchments on the table. She was reading the papers on her hand, not once looking at me.

I sat at the chair in front of her. Waiting for her to say something. It was about 5 minutes before she opened her mouth.

"You must be the transfer student, Kelsea Venus." It was only then that I saw my picture on the paper.

"Yes, headmistress, I am."

"Good, I already called someone to pick you up. He'll give you a tour of this school." She said smiling. I saw her frown a little bit when she said that.

"This is your schedule for the week." I took the paper she hold out for me.

Then there was a knock behind me and the creak of the door opening.

"Headmistress...Is there something you need from me?" A boy came inside with brunette curly hair and dark brown eyes.

"Yes, this is miss Kelsea Venus. A transfer student, could you please accompany her to her classes?" Her smile looked forced and her eyes became so little from smiling that it looked like she couldn't see.

"Of course, headmistress." He said with mirth in his eyes. Clearly enjoying it.

"The name's Ted Zack. It's a pleasure to meet you." He hold out his right hand.

"It's nice to meet you too." I took his hand and shook it."

"Miss Venus, please follow me." He gestured for me to come out. I get out of the room first, before him.

After he closed the door, he lead me outside the church.

"Can I take a look at your schedule?" He asked me.

"Sure." I gave him the piece of paper.

"Oh, this is great. We're in the same year, this made it easier." He said.

"Do we have the same schedule?" I asked him, curious.

"Yeah, except p.e." That made me feel a little bit cautious and relieved at the same time. He looked like a kind person, but I feel like I shouldn't trust him.

We came to a stop in front of a door. Ted knocked on the door, but before opening it he told me something.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you something." He stopped. "Welcome to Kolfin Academy." He said with a smile while opening the door.

I felt a shudder within me when I looked at his smile.
