Identical

Still in her apartment, Luna was picking-out an outfit. The big day had finally arrived and she was stuck on what suit to wear. Her choices were already narrowed down to the white, black, or maroon suit and yet it was still undecided.

Thinking hard and long, Luna finally wore the white suit. Letting her hair down, she paired her outfit with a pair of nude heels and a black strapped watch. Checking herself one last time in the mirror, she smiles and exits her room.

While on the car ride waiting for the traffic to move, Luna's mind was wandering off to what had happened in the last month.

To start the whole ordeal, Rafael had suddenly resigned out of the blue. The suddenness making Luna a bit wary of the true intention why.

To put it lightly, the guy just left a resignation letter and left. His office was left as it was with a few of his personal belongings already gone. Luna was watching out for his next move but it never happened. It was like he just disappeared in a gush of wind.

The cunning fox just left without a word, is it a strategic move or a loser's defeat? Luna's mind was never resting as the threat that never left her side. The "what-ifs" filling her mind at night as she laid wide awake in bed thinking over the possible outcome. Her greatest enemy has just disappeared, is it a good thing or a bad thing?

As for Lorenzo, he had been overseas since the proposal papers were accomplished. He got stuck there to attend a whole month of galas hosted by different hosts each week to widen his connections.

Even though he was miles away, he still pestered Luna with texts and photos of him everyday when and how he wanted to.

Imagine getting a phone call from a big baby stuck in a foreign land because you were too busy to answer his texts as you were in a meeting. The annoying husband surely didn't mind the fee of overseas texting just to annoy his wife. She really was touched...

With her mind flying away, Luna suddenly shot up as she heard a loud honk behind her car. "Move it!" the car driver said repeatedly honking his honk.

Blinking twice, Luna was awaked from her day dream. Directing her eyes on the road again, she pressed her foot on the gas and drove to the meeting.

Arriving at the hotel restaurant, Luna smiled at the server outside. "Reservation?" the young lady asked as Luna came up to her.

"Luna Walter,"

Looking down on her screen, the lady smiles and leads Luna inside. "Right this way Ma'am"

Following the lady, Luna was directed to the table where the great Micheal Villanueva sat beside his male assistant holding and reading a copy of the proposal paper. Smiling brightly, Luna made her way to them. As they reached the table, the old man's eyes turned to her with an icy stare making Luna internally shiver. "Good morning Sir! I'm Luna Walter," Luna reached her hand out to greet the old man.

The old man just stared at her hand and eventually firmly shook it once before letting go. "Please have a sit, Miss Walter," the assistant nervously said. Taking the offer, Luna sits across the old man who's expression was of nothingness.

Though he did not speak, his eyes were enough proof that he was not an easy cake. Quietly sitting there, Luna felt something was a bit off as no one was talking. The silence was intoxicating as much as it was suffocating. The air was think and heavy, putting a strain on her soaring confidence just a moment ago.

Her nervous smile starting to falter as the minutes ticked. Until finally the old man spoke, "Your proposal is good, may I ask if you were the one who made it?" The man said still maintaining his ashen face; his eyes never leaving Luna. It was like he was aiming to look at her soul.

"Yes I did," Luna answered as she felt the temperature of the room drop.

The stern old man just nodded his head as the silence engulfed them again. "You are aware that I am already an old man, am I right Miss?"

"Yes Sir," Luna answered still not sure where the conversation was heading.

"So you would know that I am no fool, correct?" The man's eyes sharpened making Luna's brows to crumple together. The questions were so random and out of context, why was the man asking these? Does he really just do it or does he have a point to make?

"Correct Sir," Luna confirmed now holding his gaze. 'What are you up to old man?' Luna thought as she saw no change in expression in the man's face.

"Well then, I suggest you rethink again your proposal Miss Walter, cheating is never tolerated in my company. Not then and not now — but I'll strike a deal with you now. If you can make another proposal much better than the first I'll consider you again, if you fail to impress then don't ever try to reach us again," with that said, the man stood up with his walking stick and walked away. His assistant handing Luna an envelop then soon following his boss.

Still confused, Luna eagerly took the envelope from the table and opened it. Inside was another proposal almost the same as their's. You could even say they were almost identical.

"RAFAEL NELSON, CEO of RN buildings"

Reading that at the end of the proposal made Luna's facial expression unreadable. Then and there she understood the old man's words.

Taking her phone out, she dialed the phone of the one person she knew who could help. "I need you now, can you come home already?"
