King Joseph: General how can the demons attack our kingdom?
General: You majesty, the demons managed to beat back the Inquisition and now they have access to the Lone Pass. If we don't do anything they would advance towards our capital and between the two of us, I prefer to fight them somewhere where we can use our power freely. The walls are just a small obstacle for them.
King Josepha: War is coming and we aren't prepared to face it. How many soldiers we have ready?
General: We have 40 Warlords that live in the kingdom and all of them will join the war as for warriors and fighters, 5k and 10k respectively. As for the demons they have double the number of warriors and ten times as many as our fighters.
King Joseph: I presume we don't know anything about their officers and leaders?
General: Unfortunately no, but I think their leader is a peak Warlord.
King Joseph; with their army, they could raze all of the kingdoms around the great forest.
General: It's unlikely that they would attack any kingdom beside ours because they would lose too many demons to continue. It would be an idea to send some scouts to our neighbors and tell them the news, maybe they would help us.
King Joseph: Don't be stupid Krane, these bastards would only watch how we die and when the demons retreat they would attack us. Krane, do you think that the guilds would help?
Krane (General): I don't know what to say, your majesty. I'm pretty sure that the Knight Order and the Hunters would help us, but the Slave guild and Merchant guild would mostly stay and wait for the outcome.
King Joseph: If we can get the knights and the hunters to join the war we may have a chance. Invite Sir Lionheart and Gerald the Huntsman to a meeting.
The Great Forest
Wurkus was only five kilometers away from his village but something warned him that he may need to be careful. With his trusty spear ready to thrust any danger, Wurkus made his way towards the village.
When he arrived at the village entrance he saw a small army of humans surrounding the village. Wurkus didn't jump to conclusions immediately; he slowly walked until he could hear what the human captain was saying.
Captain: Beastmen hear me out. You will join the army to protect the Kingdom from the invasion of the demons. If you anyone from your village is found hiding his strength to not participate in the war all of you will be killed by my Commander here. Just so you know he's a Warlord.
The villagers were scared, but none of the fighters or warriors backed away from their position. Kaa, which was in front of the group walked towards the gate accompanied by Deus and Carl.
The human Warlord looked at the trio and laugh.
Human Warlord: A lizard, a joke that believes he was some adventurer and a snake. You may be strong for any warrior, but for a warlord you are nothing, I can destroy your little safe haven.
Wurkus, how was listening to the whole conversation was now angry and with a bang, he appeared behind the human warlord. The humans were scared and panic appeared, even the human warlord was stunned by the appearance of a new enemy how may be stronger than himself.
Wurkus looked at the warlord and spoke.
Wurkus: Now that I'm here, I want to know how would you destroy my village human.
The humans were stunned when a bear variant appeared and when they saw his power they began to retreat some steps. The warlord looked at Wurkus and frowned.
Human Warlord: You are their leader? You may be a Warlord, but I'm the law here so you will listen to what I say and do what I want. Understood?
Wurkus looked at him and punched the bastard right in the face knocking him cold.
Wurkus: Take him and never return here.
The humans were stunned and too scared to move, but another shout from Wurkus wake them up and they began to run for their lives.
Looking at the fleeing humans, Wurkus managed to calm down.
Kaa: Welcome back chief and congratulations on your advancement.
Wurkus(Smiling): Thank you. What was that?
Kaa: Demons are appearing and the human king wants to fight the demons.
Wurkus: Conscription …Lordain is ok?
Carl: Yes and no. The city is ok, but most of the guards were conscripted even Alexander was taken by them.
Wurkus: How did the humans found this village?
Kaa: The Warlord found us and he brought the whole army here to force us to join.
Wurkus: I don't really like the way he spoke, but the war seems worse than we can think of. What are demons anyways?
Kaa: Demons are beings that are born on the chaotic wasteland and their King would summon armies of them to march and raze the nearby kingdoms. A demon has 2-4 meters in height and most of them are born as fighters or warriors and the worst part is that they can breed with anything as long as it survives and every pregnancy means 5-20 demons.
Wurkus immediately paled. If the demons are this strong, then the kingdom is fucked. Even if he and his men decide to join the war against the demons, they would surely lose.
