"Always stay calm no matter what, be aware of your surroundings and plan accordingly." Mash recalled what her father always told her. In the midst of battle, focus can mean life or death and she took her fathers teachings to heart.
The flames were fiercer this time around but it did not even make Mash flinch. She had a plan and nothing could take away her focus on what she needed to do. The front of her tower shields opened up and inside was a giant fan, the rotor started to spin and began blowing away the flames into a different direction. A fan was an easy creation to make since the mechanisms is fairly simple and it proved useful against her opponent. As she neared the ground the shield closed and the boosters helped lighten her landing. She rolled on the ground behind the elemental and quickly spun around slashing her sword diagonally upwards towards the enemys head. At this distance the sword wouldn't have reached it but she had modified the sword, it looked like a blade had been connected to a rope or a chain and it very easily hit its mark. Just as quickly as it hit its target the blade quickly made its way back to the swords hilt. It did close to no damage to the elemental but it got her the reaction she wanted.
The elemental was now charging towards her with its flaming fists and began punching at her wildly. She let go of the shield to increase her maneuverability and made great use of the boosters on her body to dodge the attacks. Another right swing missed her entirely and she countered by extending the blade and tying the chain around its neck pulling it towards her and kneeing it square on the face. She quickly unwrapped the chain and jumped back, walking a few paces to her right as she watched her opponent. You could see some scorch marks on her armor as soon as she disengaged but not a scratch on the elemental, if anything it just made it release hotter flames around its body.
"Oh, I'm sorry, did I hurt your feelings?" Mash continued to taunt. "The batteries on my phone burns hotter than you."
And as if it understood, it charged forward yet again. Mash showed no intention of dodging and just stood there confidently. The elemental was only a few inches away but before it could reach her the shield thrown itself at it and thrown it back towards the mouth of the cave. It didn't seem to hurt it but it was thrown off balance and was now on its hands and knees.
"Now, Blub!"
The ground below the elemental began to shake and suddenly two sets of ten boosters connected together by steel popped up and formed a circle around it and began to spin. They were moving so fast that you could only see a line.
"Generate Dynamic Shield!"
The two sets of spinning lines were now connected by a force field.
"Creating a vacuum is simple and complex, all you need is a chamber and a means to reduce pressure." A vacuum is any pressure below atmospheric. Using the force field as the chamber and the boosters as a way to reduce pressure, Mash had made herself a vacuum, not perfect but enough. "However, considering you are made from coal as well this won't be enough. That's why..." The materials from the barrier she had built and the tower shield from before looked like it was disintegrating and on her hands a handle was being created. From all those materials, Mash now had a gigantic hammer on her hands. "Time to snuff you out."
Mash leaped into the sky using the hammers booster, which was part of the original ships booster and she had used the same engine and put it inside the hammer, to propel her further upwards.
"Bye now."
Mash then activated the engine and the hammer surged forward at an incredible speed. She had let go just before the impact and it was like a ship crashed onto the island, the sound it made was like that of a bomb being detonated. In place of the elemental was nothing but a crater. Mash had made sure to push the elemental close to the scorched earth to make sure the flame did not spread.
"Blub, make sure to put out any small fires in the vicinity."
"Understood."
"Should I explain to the captain how we lost our engine or should you?" Blub mused.
"...I blame Godric for taking all the cryo shells. This could have been a lot easier."
"I could provide a hundred other plans that could have dealt with that elemental without us losing our engine."
"THEN YOU SHOULD'VE TOLD ME THAT EARLIER!"
"Well, I know how much you love doing flashy things so I let you and we are told to keep our partners emotionally healthy as well."
Mash' face was now flushed. "Ugh. I'm sure the captain can help us create a new one, so be sure to take all the scraps." She commanded as she began to make a small robot for Blub to inhabit while collecting the scraps.
"Once you're done we'll head to the village to rendezvous with the squad."
"It would be faster if you helped."
"No thanks, it wouldn't be good for my "emotional health"."
