It was the next new day later from the last one after Eden completed her mission raid on gathering and gaining more supplies and other stuff and bringing them to Safe Haven safe and secure into the storage units there.
It seems Eden was already prepared on how to transport all the goods and materials into the abandoned building, since it's a real hassle to carry them, climbing up and down, as well as hauling them in with the make-shift pulley system she used to make before on getting them up to the rooftop from the semi-truck on the ground floor after she drove and moved it to stand next to the building itself.
Eden managed to find the right opening somewhere on the ground floor of the slightly constructed abandoned-looking building, that has rubble that can easily be removed and put back after she and her group were done and finished with the transportation of goods and bringing them all in.
The adult guardian Eden gestured her children to stay back and stand by as she moved the rubble and debris off easily from the opening she found, and then piled them on one side where it can also be easily put back after they're done. After she was done removing the debris, she went to open up the truck from the back, set down the ramp, and then called for her kids to come over and help her carry the goods and get them into the building, which Michael and Annie eagerly did, sprinting about and running to and fro from the truck to the building with a small arm full of the loads they can carry and lift during the supply short trips and such.
Eden smiled at the sight as she is watchful and aware to note, in case the kids might try to take the heavy loads, which she must do herself only as the responsible adult and guardian to do so, and it was kind of a funny sight when Luna the mother dog insisted on helping too, even though it's obvious that the dog of her kind of size is slightly impossible for it to carry heavy loads as she does.
However, she relented to letting Luna help out by directing it to carry the lighter good and the few that are not heavy enough for a dog to carry and lug around to move them into Safe Haven.
Still, it's fortunate that all of them are full-on energy after having a full breakfast, and that it didn't take long for them to finish before it was lunch-time. And Eden wasn't concerned that they might be seen while transferring the supplies, since she already checked and double-checked around the area and perimeter in Safe Haven of any lurkers or watchers that might be hiding about or so.
Once they're completely done and finished with their task of transporting all the supplies, all of them looked a bit tired from their chore, sweating a bit, except Archer the puppy that seemed to be overly excited to play more or something since the only thing the small dog has been doing is just prancing and scampering about the children's side the whole time they were busy.
Then Eden placed and put back all the concrete rubble and debris into the opening until it was completely covered up and it looked like it was impossible to get in or out from its appearance outside the building. After she was done with that, Eden gestured for the kids to go upstairs and wait for her to make up and cook lunch for them and Michael and Annie obeyed her obediently, going up with the two dogs following behind them.
Eden looked at the messy-like piles of supplies gathered and placed inside the building of Safe Haven around her on the ground floor and nodded dimly like she was reminding herself or making her decision firmly that she'll be the one sorting all the stuff and supplies out and putting them neatly into the storage units.
But first, she'll deal with the important matter, serving lunch for her group and she went to do just that, and it didn't take long for her and her kids to finish eating the meal she cooked for them, as well as the dogs and Eden, ushered them to take afternoon naps while she sorts out the supplies and place them into storage.
Michael and Annie wanted to help as they pleaded at her with cute eyes, but Eden was still firm and bent on the decision she's made and sternly told them to go and rest, much to their slight disappointment. But then they became a little relieved and happy when Eden told them that she has more lessons she was going to teach and train them later on and they decided to let this go as they went off to their rooms to take a break and rest from the slightly exhausting ordeal on supply transportation.
After Eden watched and made sure that the children were obedient to her orders to rest, she went back down to sort out all the stuff and then put them into the storage units, and it only took about an hour or two for her to finish as quick as she can, and despite looking almost exhausted and completely tired from her tasks and the kind of heavy work she had been doing, she managed to finish everything without even breaking a sweat or so.
There were a few stuff and objects still lying about and scattered by the outside of the storage unit rooms there, for it looks like Eden set them aside to sort for herself what she needed or not and fully assess their usefulness before she decides to keep them into storage.
But for now, she sat down on a chair she grabbed for herself to rest on, for the time being, looking over in the direction of the bedroom where her kids are napping over there for the whole afternoon time until night and she took out the journal she pocketed it near and by her side to write down the new entry she had promised to herself to do so on the previous day and patted Luna sitting next to her before she started writing.

JOURNAL ENTRY: DAY UNKNOWN, 9TH MONTH SEPTEMBER, YEAR 2XXX
Hey, it's Eden again.
Guess what?
I got more new gadgets, weapons, and useful kinds of toys and stuff, for my group and I can use to survive through this apocalypse!
It's not too much or very many, since most of the supplies my kids and I carried all from the truck and into Safe Haven, were moved and transported through the hole in the ground floor by the side of the building that I opened and moved all the debris so that it will be easy to transfer all the truck's goods inside the building.
However, I made sure that I was the one who did the sorting and putting them into the rooms that are the designated storage units and got the kids to eat lunch and rest upon having naps noon-time until eating dinner later on, then washing up, and finally settling into bed to sleep again for another busy task or something on the next day.
Right, I'm rambling on.
The kind of new stuff like the gadgets and weaponry I was talking about. They are these materials and objects that I need to sort on and assess whether I should put them and keep them in storage for the later future, or use them every day that I need to survive through this apocalypse, to provide for my group and so.
And these are a new army-issued sniper rifle-gun which is better than the old one I was using, another Holt recurve long-bow but sturdy strong-metal built than the wooden type one and formidably unbreakable, a rifle with a built-in stuck army-knife at the end of the barrel with a strap-on bullet cartridge small pack on the butt of the gun, a long-range modern battery-powered radio that I can use to hear from somewhere out there beyond Z-city to learn and know the situation of the apocalypse and hear from possible friendly-kind survivors, and finally, climbing gear with a complete set of rappelling hooks and sturdy flexible rope that I can use to climb about and up more easily and freely than the manual hand-climbing I've been doing for so long and so forth.
Wow, these are such useful materials, weapons, and other stuff that I can't name and write them all here in this journal entry, and I'm still sorting them out but I'm assessing and studying them all wisely and making sure that I'm smart with the kind of objects that are the most useful and the most important things that are necessary for me and my group's survival.
So I'll be ending this right here, but don't worry there are going to be more new entries the next time later in the future that I'll be writing in this journal.
And I'm giving you spoilers on another thing that I'll be writing about next, which are among the new stock of supplies I have gathered for the survival of my group and to provide for all of us.
And that is--books.
Yep, you read it right.
And I don't mean books for pleasure, leisure, and relaxation or something similar such as that.
I'm talking about books that I'll be reading and studying, to learn more knowledge to be able to survive in Z-city, as well as study and obtain more new tricks, techniques, and skills that I need to learn and gain knowledge of so that I'll provide and protect better for my group and myself, to survive and live through this apocalypse.
And that's it. Until the next time on the new journal entry.
Until then, this is Eden signing off.
*****
After Eden was finished writing the new entry in her journal, she put it away into the pocket where she pulled it out, relaxed back on her chair, and let her dog Luna lay its head on her lap as they take a break and rest for a moment.
As the woman and dog stayed there on the corner side by side, Eden patted and rubbed the dog's head as she leans back against the chair comfortably and relaxed. And it looked like she is waiting for the time to pass on slow or fast until the time came to prepare and make up dinner for her group so that they'll clean up after the nighttime meal and then settle into bed to be prepared and ready for the next new day. That Eden is planning to learn and study more knowledge for survival, which is important and necessary for their group in the future.
