CHAPTER 19: MATCHING COLOR

JARON P.O.V

Earlier, I came home ahead of Cadence when I knocked at their front door. Bringing with me the graduation gift for her. Her father was the one who opened the door. I greeted him then saw her mother too.

"Jaron!" He said surprisingly as he saw me. "Cadence is not here."

"Yeah, I know. I just want to give this to her." I said smiling to her father. I handed it to him my gift then he gave it to his wife.

"Okay, I will put this to her room." Her mother replied, smiling at me.

"I won't be long. You must be very busy." I said, smiling at them. "Happy trip" I added and said goodbye to them before I headed to my house.

It was not just the dress I will give to Cadence there is one more. However, I will give it to her later. I choose the dress itself and the color too that could pair with me to Tony's Party.

I cleaned up myself. I do not want to go out before Tony's party. I know Cadence was still with her two best friends having their own time. Girl's moment to be exact.

I played my games on my phone while waiting for the time I will fetch Cadence. I was in my living room when I heard the sounds of the vehicle outside.

I looked at the window as I saw Donna's car dropped Cadence on the street. She always looks beautiful with her graduation dress she wore. It suits her well.

It never took more minutes when I heard her saying goodbye to her parents who's leaving again for business trip.

College soon to come to us and I will miss her everyday but we need to do this for the future. I know that love can wait. Yes, I know I am a coward for not telling her what I feel for her. I was afraid in so many ways that I might make mistakes. Being in a relationship or rather long-distance relationship might not good on us.

I know it is not the right time for us. It is not the right time to think about love. There are so things that we need to prioritize not just me but also for her. I do not want to hinder her goals, her future. She needs more experience in life than sticking her with me. I just hope that when time comes, we both still be single and available.

I can feel that we both feel the same but I know she keep it to herself. We are still too young for serious relationship. Only time can talk about us for now. I may say we just enjoy each other's company.

I looked up my clock and saw the time. I must have been busy thinking about us. It is time to fetch Cadence I am sure she is ready for the party. I grabbed my car keys and phone then headed to her house.

I pressed the doorbell. It never took long she was in front of me. I was awe when I saw her. She is wearing the gift I gave to her.

"Wow!" As I scanned her whole body. "I knew it really suits you."

"So do you. Wow as in wow!" She grinned. The way she looked at me and the way she loves the dress I gave her. I know she really love it. I kissed her forehead.

"Come on, let's go and have some fun tonight." I said as I grabbed her hand.

We arrived at Tony's, parking area was overload inside and outside his house. I went inside and saw the reserved sign with my name on it. I parked my car and stopped the engine. I went out first and opened the passenger's door for Cadence.

"Thank you!" She smiled sweetly.

How I wish I could drag her back to her house and do some magic touch. I would but then I would not do it. This is our last moments with our friends to bond and enjoy so I have to control and behave for a while.

We went inside and saw already her best friends talking to Tony. Some classmates and schoolmates greeted us as we walked along the way.

I can see they were enjoying Tony's party celebration. Well, for the coming days, our journey will lead us differently. Tony greeted me with fist bump as we nearby.

"Hey man, matching color with the beautiful lady besides you as well, ah." Tony said with a devilish smile.

I smiled back as I looked at Cadence's face turning red. She still has the innocence in her.

"Come on you guys, let's have fun." Donna said as she pushed us to the dancing area in Tony's living room.

We were all dancing at the center and I took Cadence hand twirled her around and swing her back into my loving arms.

I was having so much fun with her that night and I enjoyed every single moment with it.

"You're so beautiful." I whispered in her ear. "Did I tell you that?"

"No, but now yes." She whispered back.

"Good! Now you know." I grinned as we continue dancing.
