CHAPTER 27: IT'S CALLED FATE

CADENCE P.O.V

I saw my lady boss and Jaron walked out of the office. I was at the mini kitchen area preparing for my lunch. I did not make any noise because I was afraid to face Jaron again.

Everything was blurry to me regarding his personal life. Even my life will be complicated once he knew my secrets. I still do not know what to think anymore.

I could not imagine that he is one of the richest heirs in this country. Never in my mind that he is that rich. Well, now I realized when he moved in to the next door in A City his things quite updated. I should have known that.

Then my parents are working in main branch in A City. I should have notice it when they treated him something special. I thought that time my parents was just being nice and accommodating. But now I get it why.

They knew him all his life. They never even inform me not a single knowledge about it.

'Gosh! What have I gotten into? How would they feel when I told them that their grandchildren are one of the richest bloodlines in the country?'

It is good thing that I hide them the important information with my children. I do not know what would be the outcome.

I began eating my lunch I made this morning together with my kids. I cooked fried breaded pork chops and blanch veggies then sliced fruits.

I rather prepare their foods, lunch or snacks than buying inside their school. I know they were serving clean and healthy but it is still nice you have an effort for your kids.

My phone rang and saw Donna's calling. I answered it. "Hey bestie," I said holding my spoon and fork. I put it on a speaker so that I could continue eat my meal.

"Hey girl, where are you?" She asked.

"I am in the office having lunch in mini kitchen. Why?" I asked curiously.

"Wait there, I will join you." She said and dropped off the phone.

Not before long, Donna was here joining me with my lunch. I shared my lunch with her and she bought take-out orders McDo that I always loved eating.

We were eating and chatting then she opened up some topics that I do not want to mention but things cannot help it.

"Are you alright?" She asked. "I saw Jaron with Ms. Julie and I was in deep shocked that he is one of the heirs in JD.

I nodded and gave her a small smile. I know what she was thinking with the situation I have right now.

"Yes, I was shock too when he barged in this morning. I could not explain when I saw him back. Gosh, why it had to be him?" I sighed. "I almost achieved to let him out of my heart, mind and soul. But why now of all places and why here?" I pouted.

"It's called fate, my friend." Donna laughed at me. "You could not control the fate because wherever you go you meet him unexpectedly."

"Yeah, yeah! Whatever!" I rolled my eyes. "My parents missed to inform me that part that they knew him all the while."

"True! They miss that part when you two were neighbors." Donna laughed.

"I hate them for not telling that." I said rolling my eyes. "If they just tell me back then. Maybe I still have the time to distance myself from him."

"Even so." Donna says. "Fate will still lead you to it. So, stop worrying too much."

"Stop worrying? Gosh! I feel like my secrets will soon be uncover.'" I said in fear. "I am so afraid that he will get them away from me." I cried without knowing it.

I am afraid that he will get my children. I will die if they will not with me.

"My gosh! Cadence, stop thinking negatively. Jaron will not do that to you of all people." She reminded me. "You are just paranoid, you know. That would not be happening."

She hugged me tight and I feel at ease. Yes, I am thinking too much when it comes to my children. They are my life, my love and everything.

I will fight for them no matter what. No one else have the right to take them away from me. Not even Jaron.

"Now, you stop being so negative. Just take it slow and easy." She wiped my tears away. "Pretend that you two do not have history. Maybe there is a chance for love this time."

I raised my brows after hearing that. "Impossible!" I denied.

"Do not say I did not tell when the time comes." Donna sticked her tongue out and laughed.

"Whatever!" Rolling my eyes again. "Now, get out of here and go back to your department. Break time is over, Lady." I said then smiled.

"Yeah, yeah! I know." She pouted. "See you when I see you."

I was left inside for a while. Cleaning all the stains in the table before going back to my table
