After hearing Minah's request. Chad went up to me without a second thought and pleaded.
"Listen here, I don't do this quite often but I'm asking you a favor. The truth is Minah won't come to the party tomorrow because she wants everyone to go. I mean everyone, even weirdos like you. Do this bid for me and I promise you, I will return the favor"
in a blink of an eye. I responded quickly with a hard "No".
Chad was furious.
His pupils dilated and his face was flushed.
He then closed his eyes, clenched his fist and took a deep breath.
He looked like one of those triggered feminist with a bob cut that practice anger management techniques.
"Listen to me. I'm not the only one who wants her to come. All the boys in the department are expecting her to go." as Chad tries to convince me calmy.
"If you don't do this. All of them are going to hate you and pester you. The people that didn't notice you exist are going to start to see you on their radar. Everybody is going to start invading your space and ask questions, the incognito status you really cherish will be at stake."
He almost had me.
I started second-guessing my decision but his influence cant move me, I have good control over my wit and was not dictated by my rash decisions.
There is this saying "A person buys with emotion and justifies it with logic".
He was smart to use a visualization approach and got me riled up.
But, I play this game far better than you chad.
"You are the only person that notices me in the office Chad. I don't think that is ever going to change. No matter what the circumstances are. Give it up."
Chad's face was disappointed and annoyed.
He grew silent and moved away from me and went back to Minah and told her what transpired.
I stood up from my table and went to go to the lavatory. After I pissed, I went back to the office. An officemate of mine, who never made eye contact with me started approaching.
"Are you going to the party tomorrow?"
"nope" as I walk past this faceless creature.
I was shocked to see this unknown being plant his foot and without care started to talk to me.
Its days like this that I wished I worn a camouflage shirt, so I can blend in more with the environment and remain unnoticed.
Stride after Stride as I make my way to my desk.
People were starting to plague me about the party.
I was slowly suffocating and felt light-headed.
My heart was pounding and my posture started to withdraw.
I then reach my desk and started to be all fidgety. I was sweating profusely like a melting ice cream.
I loathe the attention.
Chad was fucking right again but as I look across my table.
I saw the people who bothered me earlier lounging around Minah.
It was probably her that was telling all these guys about her condition.
This girl smells like trouble.
The day ended and I was about to head out of the office.
On my way outside to the parking lot, there stood a dark silhouette below a leafless tree.
At a leisurely pace, I walk pass by the unknown shadow.
To my surprise, it was Minah. She started yelling.
"Hey! wait up"
She ran towards me and stop me on from my tracks.
She was huffing and was visibly tired.
"What are you doing?" I said
She then gazed at me with her piercing eyes and smiled.
"Hello, I was on my way home but I was hoping to get to know everyone in the office and I also made these cookies. I already gave everyone their share. I was hoping to give you one and also the big guy beside your desk but he took off somewhere and I was hesitant to come near your area during work because both of you seemed so focused. So I came here looking for you"
She really did not have to do that.
I really didn't care about her cookies.
But, I felt like being courteous.
We then exchange our introductions.
I took the cookies from her and offered to give the other batch to my fat colleague.
I said my thanks and was about to go to my car.
Out of the blue, the sky roared and heavy dark clouds formed.
There was a brief silence and just like that, there was a heavy downpour.
Minah did not own a motor vehicle and she uses the bus for her transportation.
But, there was no visible bus shed around the corner for her to wait and keep herself dry.
Circumstances were toying with me again and I was coerced to offer her a ride.
I could not leave her in the office.
The people would find out and that will cause me a great inconvenience.
There was dead silence inside the car.
You could hear the rain hitting the concrete, the thud of the windshield wiper as it moved back and forth. The faint sound of her breathing and cars passing by.
"Hey, are you going to the party tomorrow?" she asked with a child-like tone
This question again.
"I can't go" I replied
She then slightly twist both her head and torso and was looking at me.
Both her hands were on her thigh and her eyes widened as her brow raised.
She looked like a child filled with curiosity.
"Why can't you come? It would be nice if you did. everybody in the department is going to be there. It will only just be for one night"
"I'm quite busy and I have a lot of paper works to finish. I don't have your youthful carefree spirit. I am almost in my thirties. I can't go gallivanting around anymore. Life is hard. I need to find my purpose and save up some cash." I said in an annoyed manner
Minah then looked down staring at whatever.
"I see. I'm sorry if I annoyed you" she said with a sad faint tone.
moments later we both saw a waiting shed.
"You can drop me near that bus shed," Minah said
I pulled over and stopped. She went outside the car and proceed to give her thanks.
"Thank you so much, I do hope you reconsider going to the party. It would have been nice to talk to you a little bit more" Minah said cheerfully, then she closed the door.
While driving on my way home.
I pondered if I was a bit childish by losing my cool earlier.
I then took a glimpse to where she was sitting.
To my surprise, there was a wet mark on the seat Minah was on.
Earlier, we were both drenched when the rain came and she was wearing a black spats.
It probably was not water-repellant because it left a discolor on my navy blue car seat.
I looked at it even more with eagle eye vision.
Then my breathing stopped.
The watermark formed the contours of her nether regions.
It looked like the heart of a sliced peach.
My eyes were fixated on the marvelous artwork.
I then parked my car on the side of the street.
I was breathing heavily.
I was staring at it so intently and vigorously, moisture started appearing on my forehead and aslo the gap between my nose and lips.
My body also froze like I was being petrified by a beast.
It felt like I was looking at the eyes of a Basilisk.
Then a soft voice in my head was telling me to stick out my tongue and taste it.
I was mesmerized by the shape.
My mind was in a haze.
I leaned forward towards the erotic mess with my tongue out and my eyes wide like a deer caught in a headlight. Inch by Inch, the tip of my tongue grew closer and within a few centimeters...
My phone rings.
I went back to my senses and was out of breath. I quickly erect myself and answered the phone.
"Who is this?!" in a panic voice.
"It's me your manager, is this a bad time?"
"No...no...What can I do for you?" I said erratically
"Your colleagues are having an overnight party tomorrow and I think you should go. I heard the new girl won't go if you are not going to be there because she feels out of place if her seniors in the department are not going. Take this opportunity to bond with your colleagues. You have already been.....ljksldjakldjaldadaxmxlkajapoa;ka"
I could not understand what my manager was trying to convey.
My mind just went off.
I could only hear jibberish and then out of nowhere,
I said.....
"I'm going"
