The emergency personnel were waiting apprehensively for the chopper to land. They got word from the director of hospital that a VIP patient was being brought in and that their priority is to make sure she survived. As soon as the flight landed they rushed to get their patient and when they see her condition they are astonished to see that she is still alive. She looked like a limp ragdoll, bloody and shattered, they can't wait for her parents to give consent for her treatment she will surely die before they acquire it.
They immediately get her to the OR and they start doing an in depth check of her injuries. Blood was rushed to the OR and the young girl was transfused. Broken arm and leg bones were straightened, steel plates and screws attached. Blood was drained from her chest and ribs were carefully aligned and bound tightly. Her skin was meticulously stitched back together and the utmost care was taken to minimize any scarring from happening.
Dr.Holiday arrived in record time, as she rode to the hospital she called the director and explained the situation to him. They were good friends and she knew he would take care of the child while she was able to arrive at the hospital. Perry kept glancing back at his employer and he can see the strain and panic in her face, making him determined to make it swiftly to the hospital. He pulls up sharply to the main door, a security officer and one of the doctors are patiently awaiting for her.
"Dr.Holiday, this way please." Dr.Howard briskly shakes hands with Dr.Holiday and signals the security officer to escort them to the VIP OR waiting room. "What's the status of the child?" Mina didn't hesitate to ask as she internally prayed for her. "Dr.Holiday, I won't sugarcoat it, she's in critical condition and to be honest we're surprised that she made it alive to us. We have our best surgeons working on her, frankly all we can do right now is pray for a miracle." "Who is operating?" "Richardson, Stevens, Park and Lowell. They have their OR teams with them." Mina knew that if her proteges were the team, Rogue's chances were definitely good. He never gave up on a patient, he was tenacious and stubborn and would do his best for his patient.
Perry prepared a hot cup of tea for Dr.Holiday, "Thank you Perry." She takes a sip and feels the comforting warmth of the tea fill her up to slowly settle her nerves. "Dr.Howard, may I trouble you for the moment. I would like you to keep me informed about the girl. I will wait hear until everything is settled with her." Dr.Howard wondered about the relationship between the girl and the woman sitting calmly sipping her tea. "Of course Ma'am. If I can be so forward can I ask you a question?" Mina looks over at the man who was standing by the door, "yes, you may. What's your question?" Dr.Howard nervously cleared his throat before speaking, "we are all wondering what is the relationship with the young girl?" Sighing Mina open and closed her eyes and a tear slowly slides down her cheek, "she's my granddaughter."
