Juan's Room. (beep.. beep.. beep)
The alarm clock sound keeps on blasting Juan's eardrum as he lazily opens his droopy eyes. Slowly his gaze fell on the alarm clock by his bedside.
"It's already 11am? crap I overdid it this time"
Juan's been playing DOTA2 till early morning and haven't noticed how long he's been playing.
He's been called to report to the HR office today at 1pm after a months suspension from service. "I know I have the feeling I will lose my job but leaving the force from a very absurd reason because of that woman and her husband is really embarassing.. I shouldn't have accepted that bodyguard assignment."
Juan removed the cover of his motorcycle. It is a military green Royal Enfield Classic 500 that's been sitting quite sometime in the garage since his suspension.
"Battery might be dead but let's see if we can start you up with a lil kick" (click)
"I'm sorry PO1 Juancho Morales, but upon investigation and with sufficient evidence from the CCTV and first hand account from the witnesses it shows you did attack your Superior because he caught you with his wife in a difficult situation in which I myself cannot point my finger on." said his Superior
"Sir, I don't know what those witnesses told the investigating body nor what the CCTV they submitted didn't show but that woman is already acting weird as if she is not Mrs. Guzman. Besides, I have to protect myself from the Colonel since he's about to shoot me so I have to act fast. Even as you see me as a slacker I am still a member of SAF (Special Action Force)" protested Juan.
"No matter, what's done is done and I can not reverse their decision even If I wanted to.. However, think of this in a good way.. The Colonel and his wife did not pursue this case to the higher court but rather settled with your suspension and it's just that the Colonel is well connected so kicking you out of the force is inevitable." "I suggest that even if you are already a civilian, make good of your freedom and please avoid immersing too much on those video games. Be productive."
This scenario keeps on playing in Juan's mind ever since he got kicked out.
(clack) Another bottle of Red Horse Beer was opened as he stares at the desktop monitor's current activity.
"Fu*"@k!n losers can't even gank right! Place some wards putsa!"
(gulp gulp gulp.. ahhh)
Juan already drunk from the 8 bottles of ReD Horse 500 he's been drinking since he started playing all the while cursing at his team mates in Dota2 for a shitty round.
"Shit, I started off good with being part of the riot police, holding the line with a riot shield, laying low profile and then got an opportunity in SAF for a commando training then switch to a desk job after I feel some of the missions we are getting are becoming more dangerous for my taste.
After awhile I was assigned to be a part of the Colonel's security detail since I can be more relax and get a bit more time for myself but that crazy woman went cuckoo for some unknown reason."
If seen on another person's perspective, one would think Juan is starting to loose it while murmuring to himself infront of the monitor.
For each day that had pass, the same scenario can be seen in Juan's room. Days became weeks and weeks became months. Although one might see Juan as a slacker, he really loves his job and getting fired really got into him.
Living all by himself and with such a lifestyle, Juan didn't get out much to the point of skipping meals. He dropped a great amount of weight compared to his well toned physique before and seems like he doesn!t care much these days.
(knock knock..)
"Yeah who's there?" answered Juan.
"Dude, it's me! who else? Open up!"
Marcus, one of Juan's buddy who often checks him out from time to time since he's friend starts to live like a hermit. (click!)
"Come in.." as Juan struggles to dodge some of the beer bottles and pizza boxes littered on the floor as he tries to get back on his very familiarize and comfy seat by his desktop.
Marcus did the same dodging one bottle after another before finally settling in by the couch.
"You gotta stop this man, look at yourself in the mirror.. geez, what you need is a woman in your life. You should already be married by now with anyone of those girls you've been with".
"Marcus, bro.. stop being my mom. geez"
"Alright, alright.. you win but you gotta stop this man, I only came by this early coz your mom told me to check on you since you're not answering your phone."
Couple of hours had passed since Juan's friend came by to check on him after a long encouragement and discussion to start anew.
Juans' been staring at the stars as he was cozily sat on the adjustable chair by the terrace.
"Shit, maybe Marcus is right.. gotta clean myself up and start a new chapter in my life, I'm still young anyways heh" Juan chuckled.
Little did he knew that notion of his about getting right back on track is going to be both wrong and right at the same time.
Juan can't believe what he had just heard from Andalya.
"I died?!"
