Chapter 17

My alpha kept his promised. I'm still sitting in front of me. I'm in between his thighs. He answered all my questionnaire, though I sometimes felt his hands touching me.

"Aren't we done yet?" He asked. I felt his caressed my thighs, so I lightly slaped it.

"Few more questions." I answered.

"Ehhhh?"

"Don't complain, my alpha. I told you, you'll have me after this."

I heard him giggled. "I can't wait."

"Yeah, so finish this already."

"I should really just answered this on paper. Now, I'm having hard time." He said then hugged me.

"Your fault." I said which made him laughed. "Stop it, last question."

"Hmm?"

"What made you chose your job?" I asked. He went silent for a moment then answered.

"I want to be rightful person for you." He said.

Badum. Badum.

My heart's beating tremendously. "For me? That's so far answer."

"Hmmm. " I felt him nodded. He agreed. "I believe my job will make me more deserving and rightful for you. Stable job, good pay cash, and looked, that job help me build this house."

"Wh--- but... you should chose your desired future. Not for me but for yourself."

"My desired future is always to be with you."

Badum. Badum.

"I... I don't think I can put that as answer." I said.

"Why?" He asked. I turned my body and I carresed his cheeks. I leaned a little and let the tip of my nose touch his.

"Because... I'm the only one who should heard and know those words." I whispered affectionately. Then kissed his lips.

He parted pur lips. "Then... should I give different answer?" He whispered.

I shook my head. "That will do later. Make me yours first." I said then kissed his lips.

Two days had passed. Since I last saw my alpha. We stayed at our house until my heat was over. It was such a good timing that my parents weren't home. I had really good time with my alpha.

Our memories together was still imprinted in my mind. The touch, kisses, whispers of sweet nothings, and our promise to meet again after three months.

"You'll go here again, right? After 3 months?" I asked my alpha the night before he left.

"Of course." I felt his lips touched my forehead. "I promised that before, I won't break that promise."

I hugged him tighter and buried my face on his chest. "I really hope I could be with you everytime. To wake up everyday with your beside me, to fall asleep with you in this bed." He reciprocated my hug.

"Soon. When everything's fine. When no one's against our love. " He whispered. "When I'm free to love you, Kyle." He added something but I failed to hear it. Darkness consumed me and I fell asleep.

The morning after, I have no blindfold anymore and I have no alpha beside me.

I touched the bed side where he was laying last night. Then I whispered, "See you after 3 months, my alpha."

Since that day, I worked so hard for my research. I had my alpha help me woth this. I should not let this went on trash.

Tomorrow, I'm going to academy. I almost finished with my parts in our research. I'm now encoding my interview with my alpha.

Encoding answers are not that hard but not this one. The whole interview was full of our moans and sweet talks! Even our argument was also recorded.

'After encoding, I'll really have to delete this.' I thought.

I was in the midst of my work when my cellphone rang. I took it and looked who's calling. It was Leo. I answered it.

"Hello? Leo?

"Hey, Kyle. Are you through with the encoding?"

"Almost, why?" I heard some noises at his line. "Who's that?"

"Oh, that's Amanda. She's here at my place. Wait--- Amanda!" I heard some brawling sound on Leo's line.

"Ahh, Leo?"

"You thought it was Leo, but it was me! AmanDIO!" My face gloomed in instant.

"I'll hang up."

"Matte! Kyle-kun!"

"What is it, Amanda?" A hint of irritation was present in my voice.

"Ohayou, Kyle-kun! The day is so beautiful like me! The breeze is fresh like me! The--- Leo!" I heard noise in their land. "Shut up, Amanda! This is my phone. I'm talking to Kyle!"

I heard few more screeches then the line went off.

'Okay? Weirdos.'

My phone rang again. It was Amanda, so I turned it off. It rang again, it was Amanda again. I sighed.

'Stubborn freak.'

I answered it. "What now?"

"Kyle-kun! I'm here! Leo's killing me!"

"Wow! Congrats!"

"Kyle! I'm not kidding! I broke Leo's stuffs! He's chasing me with knife! Huhu! Tasukete kudasai!"

Hmm, that's pretty interesting. Leo's mad? I want to see it! I hope he skin Amanda alive! Lol, kidding.

"Fine, I'm going. I can't wait to see Leo stab you."

"You should help me!"

"Nah." I turned off the call and finish my work fast.

I change my clothes then went out my room. Before going out the house, I looked for mother to ask consent to go out.

"Mother? Mother?" I entered the kitchen but I can't see him. So I went at the garden, and there, I saw him. "Mo---"

I was about to called him but I stopped when I saw him talking someone throught his phone.

"I told you bot to meddle with him! Let him be free! Your feelings for him was all fake, please... don't push this issue anymore. Look for someone who's more deserving for you..." that's what mother said.

'Who is he talking to?'

I decided to went near him. "Mother?" I called him out.

Mother almost jump by surprise of my sudden appearance. "Kyle!"

"Who are you talking to? You seem inside on heated argument." I said.

His eyes wandered. "That was nothing, ahm, it was one of your father's client. We got into argument because he was making some impossible deal." I frowned.

'But that's not what it seems to be.' I want to say to mother but I chose not to.

I shrugged. "If that so, then you should talk to him in person. Maybe you could fix it if you talk more calmly." He scratched his shoulder. It's his mannerism when he's nervous.

'That person might be really difficult to talk to.'

"Yeah... that's right. I'll do that son." He said. "By the way, you're calling me? Why? You need something?"

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I need to go Leo's house. Amanda's there also, they invited me."

"Oh really? Should I take you there?"

I shooked my head. "No need, I can manage. I just went here to tell you I'm heading out."

"Oh, sure, sure. Take care, son."

I smiled at him. "I will, bye mother."

It took me 15 minutes before I arrived at Leo's place. Their house was as big as ours. But the our front yard and garden was wider.

I pressed the doorbell. The intercom beeped.

"Who's that?" It was Leo's voice.

"Leo, it was me." The intercom beeped once more. A minute later the gate opened and I saw Leo behind him.

"You came, Kyle. " he signaled me to enter.

"Yeah, Amanda called me. So, do you stabbed her already? Where is she? Is she dead?"

Leo clicked his tounge. "Almost! She's inside, fixing my largest jigsaw puzzle collection that she that ruined. "

I chuckled. Leo and I went inside. In the living room, I saw Amanda sitting on the floor, sniffing, and fixing the jigsaw puzzle that she ruined. She notice us, so she get up and ran to me.

"Kyle-kun!" I choked when she hugged me tight. "Leo's bullying me!" She hugged even tighter.

"Let go, Amanda! He's turned blue!" Leo yelled.

She let go of me. I coughed while catching my breath. "Sorry, Kyle-kun!"

"Dimwit! You almost killed me!" I said then pulled some strands of her hair.

"Gomen!"

Leo stopped me. "Wait! Wait! Calm down!" When he finally parted me and Amanda, he lightly hit us with his hand.

"Ouch!" Amanda and I said in unison.

"Geez, you two were really pain in the ass." He said while massaging his nape.

"Sowrry..." Amanda plead.

I rolled my eyes then sat on the sofa.

"Yeah, sorry." I said. "By the way, why did you call me here?"

Leo sat next to me. "Oh yeah, I called you because I got this!" He showed me something, my eyes almost popped out when I saw what it is.

"Tickets for this year's comic convention?!" I asked. "That's happening today right?!" Leo nodded.

"Yap, my mother got this for free from her friends. She said her friend's children was not into this so she just gave it to mom." He explained. "Are you free? Do you want to go?"

"Of course!" I answered in glee. "That would be lovely!"

"Eh... Leo can I go too?" Leo and I turned to Amanda who's still fixing the jigsaw puzzle. "Promise! I'll finish this later. Pleaseeee, let me join you." She plead with matching puppy eyes.

Leo sighed in defeat. "Fine, it's a three free ticket, so why not but listen, if you didn't finish that puzzle later, you'll pay be double the original prize, understand?"

'He can't really turned down his cousin.' I thought. That was so sweet of Leo.

"Hai!" Amanda answered.

The three of us made our way to the convention. It was such a good trip after a lots of work to do in academy. The convention was full of fans like us. Some were cosplayers and seller of souvenirs and item from different comics, movies, and games.

I was literally fanboying when I saw the cosplayers of my favorite action figure.

"You like them too?" Leo asked me after we took a picture with the cosplayers.

"Yeah! I have a collection of their action figures!" I said.

"Really? Same!" He said. Both of us chuckled. We went on the next booth to buy some souvenirs when I noticed something.

I tapped Leo's back to have his attention. "Where's Amanda?" I asked.

"Amanda? Oh! There!" He said and pointed a direction.

It was Amanda in the middle of different anime cosplayers. Her eyes mirrored happiness and excitement. Though Leo and I were few meter away from her, we could heard her voice.

"Naruto! Todoroki-kun! Kaneki! Nezuko-chan! Soshite, Levi-heichou! OMG! Take me captain! Take me! SHINZOU WO SASAGEYO!" She's screaming. People were laughing at her.

"I don't know her." I declared.

"Me neither." Leo agreed. Then we left for another booth.

After few hours of strolling around, the three of us decided to go to the mall to eat and rest. It was same mall where Amanda always wait for he mate.

It was weekend today, for sure her mate was not around.

We entered a restaurant that serve barbecues as their main dish. Amanda ordered for the three of us. Leo and I left at our table.

"Our research is almost done." Leo stated.

"Yeah, just finish the last latter part, present the research, and do some revisions. Then done."

"I can't wait to see our final paper." He said. "If only John is here, and he's part of our group, I bet our presentation would be more fantastic."

I nodded. "I bet that too. He's good with that genre."

It is true, John is good presentor. He never stutter when reporting. He's always proud and sure in those things that he made. He's naturally confident man with his works.

I played the table plant in our table. "I wonder what's he's doing right now..." I whispered.

"You still haven't talk to him yet?" I nodded. "Why?"

I shrugged then leaned my face at the table. "I don't know. I have this feeling that I don't need to do that."

"Ehh... I wonder why." He said. His voice has a hint of curiosity.

I lifted my head then look at him. I tried ti have intimidating gaze. "You're starting with that tone again."

He chuckled. "What? I'm just curious!"

"Hey, hey, what are you guys talking about?" Amanda suddenly appeared. "Kyle-kun, move a little. I want to seat beside you."

"Fuck off."

"Hmmp! Jerk!" So she seat beside Leo. "Oh, what are you guys talking about earlier?"

"About John. Kyle's bestfriend." Leo answered her.

"You mean that cute guy who's always with you?" Cute? Ew.

"He's not cute." I disagreed.

"I think he is. He's more cute lately." She said.

I frowned. "Lately? What do you mean?"

"Remember when we went here 2 weeks ago?" I nodded. "That day, I saw him with someone infront of the mall. Though I don't knownif his companion was male or female because of the hoodie."

"You did? why didn't you tell me?"

"I thought you saw him too." She said. "He's alpha scents was unique, I thought you smelled and saw him that day."

I was petrified for a moment. I can't find the right words to speak. Even Leo's began to spoke.

"Amanda..." Leo started. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah! I smelled him. He's not that far from us. He's there while talking with his companion. I have keen sense of smell, you know." She chuckled but she stopped when no one's laugh with her. "Ah... what's with sudden of atmosphere? Did I said something weird?"

"Yeah, so weird." Leo said.

"Huh? What is it?" She asked, dumbfoundingly. Leo's about to talk but he stopped when he saw me signaled him.

"It's really weird, Amanda." This time I'm the one who's speaking.

"Why?"

I sighed. "Because, John was not alpha... he's a beta."
