After sweeping the secret room of its valuable, Harry walked back to his original track, the unending stairs. As he had already been there, the journey was relatively fast. It only takes a few minutes because he knew there's no danger on the way, hence his pace was faster than before.
Of course, he never dropped his guard completely.
Harry was humming while playing with the wand in his grip. But his good mood was completely faded when he reached his destination.
"Ah, I forgot about this nasty stairs..." Harry felt dizzy as he looked down at the grey staircase with no sign of ending as it disappeared into the abyss.
He massaged his temple and searched his memory if there's a charm that can be used in this situation. The memory of Harry Potter was not in a very good shape, he could feels some part missing and some also blank white as if someone had spilled a paint all over it, obscuring the content.
A few minutes later, he could only open his eyes in disappointment.
Hogwarts, the place where Harry learned magic indeed had a moving staircase, but he had no idea what caused the stairs to move nor the spell to make it move.
"Maybe that was the feature of Hogwarts." He shook his head, "What a pity..."
"Should I stop here and go back to the surface? That place looked very ominous as hell..." Harry murmured as he looked down at the abyss. "Who knows what kind of monstrosity residing in the bottom of the stairs."
He reached into his pocket and took out a cute shoe with his fingers.
This shoe was the belonging of the cheerful little girl in the memory that he had extracted from the zombie.
And that little girl was somewhere down the bottomless abyss.
Harry couldn't help but showing a concerned look as he thought about her fate. If it was only the parent, then he wouldn't bother to look for them.
He considered himself to be an apathetic person, but now he was doubtful if that was the case.
"I'll going to regret this..." Harry sighed as he put the shoe into the black beaded handbag and walked down the stairs.
The place was dark and gloomy and Harry was not very fond of that combination. So he never stopped waving his wand every ten minutes to brighten the whole staircase as he went deeper into the tomb.
He walked and walked...
The stairs seem to stretch as he walked without stopping.
Minutes stretched to an hour, but Harry still can't see the bottom.
"How far this stairs will go?" Harry yawned against his back of his palm. He hasn't had any sleep since he woke up in this body and now the fatigue started to catch up to him.
Harry sat down and rested his back against the wall.
"I am so tired..." He sighed, "I want to eat a cheesecake..."
"I wonder what happened to the family... Are they still alive..." He looked down at his wand, his eyes half-lidded, "Well, they better be, otherwise all of my efforts would be in vain... Wait, I don't care about the parent. So long as... the little... girl..."
Harry has fallen to his fatigue and stopped resisting his sleepiness.
His unfocused eyes started to close, but the grip of his wand remain steady and strong.
A few hours later, Harry was awakened by the growling of his stomach.
"Huh? Where am I?" He looked around in confusion for a moment before coming to realization, "Ah, that's right, it's not a dream."
He rubbed his eyes and clear his throat, "I am so thirsty, a wine would be nice."
Harry started to rummage his handbag, "There should be a golden goblet in the treasures I took."
"Hmm, that's weird. There's nothing of the sort, maybe I am imagining things." Harry took out a gold bar and said, "I guess this will do."
With a flick of his wand, the gold bar suddenly turned into a water goblet made of gold.
He picked up the goblet and pointed the tip of his wand inside the goblet.
Fizz~~~
A jet of wine shot out from his wand into the goblet.
"Nice! I should have done this sooner," Harry laughed as he gulped the wine down his throat, "This is the most delicious wine in the world!"
One can conjure anything as they wished, but good food cannot be conjured from nothing. Food is one of Principal Exceptions of the Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration, a law governing the magical world.
But despite of that, Harry still managed to conjure delicious wine. That was because wine is not particularly nutritious substance. So it's not included in the Principal Exceptions of Gamp's Law.
Even though wine is not nutritious, it's without a doubt the most delicious thing a thirsty person could hope for.
In just a few gulps, the goblet is already emptied. No matter how he shook the goblet, not a single drop of wine remained.
Harry pointed his wand at the goblet, but nothing pour out from his wand.
And yet, a dark shade of red liquid started to fill the goblet.
That was a Refilling Charm and just like its name, the only use of this spell is to refill beverage containers. Harry knew this spell, but he never managed to successfully casted the spell non-verbally.
But he would never have thought he managed to do it now. Honestly, he was filled with surprise at this discovery. This revelation has a deep meaning behind it. The most obvious one is that he is better than Harry Potter.
But why?
"It doesn't make sense considering I am in Harry Potter's body." He looked down at his goblet of wine, "What makes it different? Could it be it was caused by my soul?"
He immediately shook his head, "What the most important to a Sorcerer is their bloodline. That's why mudblood was treated roughly in the wizarding community. So it's very unlikely for my soul to increased my magical ability."
"Still, the possibility is not zero." Harry said as he sipped his wine, "There were some cases where mudblood also had a great magical ability."
"Maybe... Hm? What's that sound?" Harry put down his goblet of wine and raised his wand, "Homenum Revelio!"
Shua~
From inside the wall a few meters below him, Harry could felt something swooping low over him.
He immediately descended the stairs following the target marked by his Human-Presence-Revealing spell. Harry stopped at the indicated place, but he saw nothing but stairs leading down the abyss. He turned to the wall and frowned.
"Could it be... another secret passage?"
Harry pointed his wand at the wall and murmured, "Revelio!"
Du~ Du~ Du~
The wall suddenly moved with a creaking sound as it started to slide down into the ground. But his surprise is not over yet.
Behind the wall is the family of three looking back at him with their mouth agape, clearly taken aback by Harry's sudden intrusion.
He scanned the room and saw a few other people sitting with the family of three around the table full of food. No matter how you look at this, it's the scene of big family dining together in the same table.
He also saw the little girl sitting with her mother, but she doesn't seem to be in a good mood. He looked down and saw a shattered cup beside her chair's legs.
The situation was awkward as the whole people in the table ceased their dining activity and instead looking at him, unblinking. The old man in the head table even had chicken's leg protruding from his mouth.
Looking at this scene, Harry could only scratched his hair and smiled wryly, "Uh... Hello there..."
"..."
"... It's nice weather today."
