A Unique Cosmos Skill

"The is used for communicating between the gods regardless of the distance. It might not be frequently used these days, but it was very useful all these centuries before the advent of the telephone." Medusa explained like a child asked by a teacher to recite. "Usually, they use a medium like a well, a pond or any body of water. But the most common way was using meditation. Until the switchboard was created, they directed all the incoming communications through the operator line. The last thing I heard was some divine crowd from Earth's religion were working on the operations for that."

"Oh... But why did I not hear anything about it?" Horus tilted his head in confusion. Did he miss something from the starter package? He had checked it twice and put it somewhere in his dorm. His things should be arriving soon. He needs to check about it.

"I believe you haven't shared the most crucial thing about the …" Hades interrupted which caused Medusa to flinch. Her snakes hid back in fear.

"It is a god add-on skill specific for Cosmos. You can even say it is unique only to Cosmos affiliated gods." Hades broke his silence and added. "It can only be used by Cosmos gods. And if someone leaves or defects, and ends up stealing it, it has a failsafe mechanism that could reduce anyone into the void."

"Really?" Horus widened his orb eyes in surprise. With the being with the goblin, it would really make sense to send him at this point. This information may have lowered the percentage that Ryuji might be affiliated with other organizations against Cosmos gods.

"But what interests me is that a demigod has a skill reserved for lesser gods and higher." Hades pondered. "They don't give this skill unless you have an aspect."

"What do you mean?" Horus looked at Hades. Despite being a Greater God rank, he clearly missed something when he joined Cosmos. Hades and Sefie who had been the oldest gods who joined amongst them, he clearly knew something else.

"I agree. As far as I can remember no other demigods can use it, the requirement must be a minor god or higher even if a demigod has an aspect to manage." Sefie added. The news of having Ryuji can use a skill that is unique with the Cosmos divinity is good but at the same time posed more questions about his identity.

"He says it was unlocked." Yubis caught on to how Sefie's trail of thought. This new clue adds more mystery of the identity of Ryuji and what his past holds.

"Hmmmm… Anyway, we are pressed for time at the moment in saving my beloved son." Hades quickly changed the topic since they need to deal with the urgent things at hand. He started giving out orders for everyone present. "Daughter, call Charon. Morticia, set up the timer and continue the surveillance on Valereth. Yubis and Medusa, note everything that Ryuji will do from this moment."

"Mely, my dear, can you ask Charon to invite Vreta too." Sefie added.

"Horus, set up the hologram on laboratory two." Yubis tapped on Horus' shoulder.

While the gods were busy, Ryuji waited for Yubis to call but as the blue sky turned to indigo, Yubis did not call. Ryuji figured he might be busy and in the middle of something since he did sound like he was in a hurry. It would be better to stick with schedule because sooner or later they might leave in a moment's notice to deliver the chrysalis according to Vreta's request.

Ryuji decided to prepare while waiting for Yubis to call back, if in case the jackal god contacts him back. He had some questions in mind. He did not mind that Yubis did not call back even though he was slightly frustrated. He is a bit annoyed as he recalled Vreta's request to be cryptic since she meant to deliver it to a guardian. He knew it might be an individual or even a structure, but he had no time to search the whole Valley of Ono for that. Instead of getting lost which might take more time if he tried to move on his own, he will need to prepare if they need to go for a journey. After all, he was just a reincarnated person and who is he to bother a god who was working.

The next day with the specific goal in mind, Ryuji and his team of familiars hunted several more Tusker's in the area. Raiji was more proficient in handling more commands and coordinating their movements, Ryuji also made his comments this time every after hunt. They changed their tactics today unlike yesterday. They made a walled prison using on a single area then taunted the tuskers using the structure to hunt. Ryuji practiced with the shield, bow and cleaver forms of the and refrained using magic in attacking tuskers. He performed to be a bait to lure the tuskers into the earth structure that they created to trap them. This caused all of them to learn skill and seemed to level up after four tuskers were successfully lured into their earth magic structure. It was level one but after unlocking it, they had a higher chance of hunting the tuskers. Ryuji and Raiji learned the skill respectively since they took the lead as live baits in the process. The synergy of the skill and made hunting a bit easier compared to the day before.

After the hunt, they set the dinner and did the recap of what they did throughout the hunt. Ryuji also gave them some pointers in using neutral skills like . The wolves were perceptive but despite them being perceptive, they had a hard time using the skill. A skill like status does not use essentially mana but requires mana to manifest it somehow. This proved a challenge to both of the wolves since they need to manifest something that they haven't seen before. For Ryuji who had lived with paperwork and computer screens, manifesting it is easier. He also began teaching some basic words for the wolves and writing it down. In essence, the wolves can speak but it is harder to manifest something that they haven't seen or even written it down. Ryuji on the other hand is challenged. He might have a

Skill but he had not seen any form of writing yet since he arrived in this world. After all, he arrived in the middle of nowhere and he has not seen any town, camp, or any form of civilization.

Ryuji decided to use the mainstream English alphabet instead because that's what he saw in his status instead. If he had not known English alphabet due to him working with several projects in his previous life. He might have taught Nihongo instead. Luckily, the wolves have skills so they can absorb words faster though they still have to yet manifest the skill.

It's been two days since the party left Valareth. Alistair is worried that he is escorting the prince and the black saint to investigate the mysterious light. according to the reports that he received it was in the direction of the Spring of Origins which is a territory of slimes, formless monsters that eat everything. They are considered scavengers and carrion beings which consume anything due to having no preference with their diet. Not to mention the mist that has mana that could disrupt everyone. Demi-human races had learned to avoid hunting in the area because of the mist. One fatal mistake

'The black saint or once called the black prince of Valareth.' Alistair Fleurwood thought. He is wary about him especially when he appeared at Valareth. An elven child about the age of ten to twelve years old appeared out of nowhere equipped with the blessings of the Goddess of the Land and God of Creation. He had a peculiar appearance. The child had black hair and black eyes which is unheard of from any elven race. Probably he is the only elf that has that particular appearance.

Wood elves like Alistair Fleurwood and Galvalen Fleurwood have sported a chestnut brown hair and emerald, green eyes that was believed to be blessed by the trees. Moon elves like the prince and King Emyth de Lunaris and the rest of the royal family have white hair which is signified by the blessing of the moon. High elves have blonde color which indicates their superiority as blessed by light mana while dark elves have a dark complexion paired with ash white hair are believed to be a blessing of darkness. If one would put it, the black saint cannot be associated with any elven race. Alistair did try to dig out the child's origins when the person an otherworlder and an elf might be the parents but the communication with other kingdoms had broken down for the past decade due to politics surrounding slavery of elves and demi human races. He practically failed to unearth any clues surrounding the black saint.

"Takei, what do you think that magic is?" the young white-haired lad asked.
