Chapter 10

Now that I'm walking my way home,

Nico texted me about how I feel right now. I know he did this on purpose, I know he wants us to be close back with Kelly. But, he's right, because if it's not his plans, maybe Kelly is still depressed right now. I texted him back as I smiled.

Thank you, Nico.

After that, I saw someone familiar to my eyes, buying Bread from Bakeshop.

His height, his back, and his faded blue cap?

Wait! Faded blue cap!!!

Oh, I better pass him through right now and pretend I didn't see him.

"Zoe?"

Nope, I didn't see him

"Hey!" He shouted

What does he think I am? Deaf?

"Yo! Zoe!"

Come on! Come up to your senses!

I-don't-want-to-talk-to-you

I walk fast as I could, hoping he would stop calling me.

But...

He showed up in front of me and say,

"Hey, didn't you hear me?"

"Oh sorry, I was wearing invisible earphones." I said as I pass him through

He chuckled as he heads back to me and says,

"So, what did she say?"

"Says who? Keisha? We never talked"

"No, your Mother."

"She didn't say anything"

"What? Really? I think I've heard chances?"

"You were there?!" I shouted as I stopped walking

"Alright, I'm sorry okay? It's just-- I was supposed not to hear anything and just go home--"

"Then you must have gone home!"

I said as I was about to punch him, but when he says,

"I know, I know I'm sorry okay? I was so desperate to get Keisha back into my life"

"What do you mean was?"

"I've realized everything, Zoe."

"You were right back there, she doesn't deserve me." He added

"You know, I've been through something just to make her say yes. But when she finally said yes, it was like she's just being forced by the people around us, cheering her to say yes. Maybe she said yes, so I wouldn't be humiliated but, I didn't think that too long because I was thinking about something important, and that's it, that she loves me back. But I was wrong."

"And now, It's okay to give up someone I love. I'm not her happiness and that is one basic sign to leave the relationship."

One thing that I knew, he's smart.

But, not just smart, he's easy to realize that someone isn't worth their time. Brave, he also puts too much effort, which I really like.

And I admit he's not that handsome, his thin but well-dressed and he always looks good in his polo shirt.

I smiled as I say, "Well then, good for you" and I walked away

But a little few steps behind,

"Wait!"

I looked back

"Yes?" I smiled

"Are we cool?" He shouted

I chuckled and say,

"What do you think?"

He smiled as he comes near to hug me, which made me,

shocked.

"See you tomorrow, friend"

He said as he waves goodbye and walks away.

Friend? I don't even wanna see you again.
