The Pre-Nuptial

Draco and Violet has been waiting in the room playing Bubble Pop in their phones. They just talk comparing each other's game level. Rosa has been pacing back and forth anxiously waiting for Graysen and his parents to arrive. Rosa's brother Dravio is occupied in preparing for the dinner. His little sister is going ahead of him to settle down and would leave him with all the work in their company. But he wants to make sure that this meeting of the families would be perfect for her.

The Eders invited to meet the Andrei's at their newly renovated high-end restaurant half an hour away from the central district. This is the Eder Chains exclusive restaurant that only receives reservations from its VIP members. They would be holding its grand relaunching in a week's time under Dravio Eder's supervision as Eder Chains recently appointed CEO. Their father choose to retire and spend more time with their mother. Their parents would be going on a month-long cruise right after the relaunch.

Graysen knocks on the glass door and opens it. He motions to his parents to go inside. Draco approaches Bitor Andrei, Graysen's father, extending his hand. Both men shake hands.

"It seems retiring early suits you well. Your body looks fit and you look younger." Bitor Andrei says in greeting.

Violet also welcomes Bitor and gives Graysen's mother, Modena Andrei, a hug.

Bitor is a quiet old man, his movements are stiff with straight shoulders as he walks and sits. Modena Andrei is a typical socialite woman with her prim and proper gestures and the tasteful clothes and exquisite jewelry she wears. Her charm stands out when she smiles displaying her dimples. Graysen inherited the qualities of both of his parents which makes him an outstanding politician at a young age. He is quiet but cunning, tasteful in clothing, and charming when he has to socialize with people.

Dravio introduces himself and calls for the chef to serve the entré. The main course showcases some of Violet's specialties – eggplant parmigiana, pasta negra,mushroom risotto paired with angus steak.

Graysen dabs a napkin at the corner of Rosa's lips stained with black ink. He started the discussion while slicing the steak for Rosa. "Mr. and Mrs. Eder, I've already discussed with my parents if we can set the wedding in three months time."

"We do not have a problem with that." Draco replies. "But we cannot be as much help to the both of you as we would be away on a holiday cruise for a month."

"What's the hurry for? I wonder... tell me, Rosa, are you already pregnant?" Violet gives Rosa a teasing look.

Rosa glares at her mother. "Mama, of course not."

Modena speaks her mind, "It was my son who is in a hurry. He wants to protect Rosa according to him. Actually, as his mother I know that he wants to uphold his territory around Rosa by keeping her by his side all the time away from those guys lingering around your daughter."

Rosa glimpses on Graysen prying him. "Really?"

"Ma!" Graysen prevents his mother from saying anything else.

"I think I'm the one who has a problem. I still have loads of work commitments and I don't like to breach the contracts." Rosa is apprehensive. She has two more months of traveling with the Quaint fashion campaign. She would not have enough time to go through the wedding preparations.

Graysen becomes uneasy.

Madam Desta arrives. Dravio pulls a seat for her. "I know your schedule Rosa. Do not fret. I'll be in charge of the preparations Rosa. You cannot delay the wedding." Madam Desta winks at Graysen.
