Sudden influx of spirit energy

What?

When everyone read the effects of the elixir which Ace was going to provide the formula for, even the principal of the Harmony Academy was unable to keep its calm.

Even though they were able to remember the materials needed to refine the elixir and the procedures to be taken in order to concoct the elixir, they also understood that the core materials and steps have been blocked off.

The Peacock Auction Hall is going to rise from today onward, that was the conclusion everyone came up with as Roy stepped into the Auction Hall from the main entrance.

The man in his prime age was smiling as he glanced at all the offers which the Peacock Auction Hall received, even stopping to greet Chris and the principal of the Harmony Academy before his gaze stopped on the elixir formula Ace was willing to provide.

"Everyone, please take your life, I would like to speak to the guest on the third floor privately after everyone has left." Roy opened his mouth and requested in a polite tone, those on the ground floor only left because they had no other choice to make, but those on the upper floors were viewing this matter from a different perspective.

Without a doubt, the figure on the third floor had no plans to reveal his true identity for now. Even though Chris wanted to meet Ace after realising that there was a chance of cooperation between them, he understood that he would have to push this plan back.

"Auction master Roy, I shall take my leave first." The principal of the Harmony Academy took his leave and vanished right away after everyone on the ground floor had left.

Just who is that person who is qualified to be on the third floor? I am still restricted to the second floor and for some reason, this auction hall still exists even though it should have collapsed a long time ago.

Was this a coincidence or was this all planned out by someone with an ulterior motive? The principal thought to himself before leaving with a sigh, dissatisfied that someone of his position wasn't able to understand something.

Roy nodded his head in response as the wandering cultivators were next in line to take their leave, followed by the respective family heads who had left the auction hall disappointed that they failed to obtain the card.

To make matters worse, they had no clue as to who the person who obtained the card might be, which means that they just weren't fated to obtain the card.

The reality was harsh, but it was the truth they had to accept.

"Auction Master Roy, please help me tell the guest on the third floor that Chris from the Crimson family wishes to meet him." Chris requested politely.

"I will convey the message, but the final decision will still be with the guest on the third floor. Roy assured Chris who had taken his leave after leaving behind the message.

"Caitlyn, you can take a break for now, you can collect your salary at the end of this month after the total earnings have been tabulated into the accounts."

When Caitlyn heard this, she smiled in joy and took her leave immediately as she planned out how she was going to spend those cultivation resources and how much she was going to reserve for her grandmother and younger sister.

After ensuring that everyone had left the Peacock Auction Hall, Roy proceeded towards the third floor of the auction hall and managed to locate Ace who had been seated this entire time, turning a blind eye to Rain who was catching up on his sleep.

"Ace, thank god you managed to pull out that elixir at the final moment, or I would have to choose between the principal of the Harmony Academy or Chris from the Crimson family, the strongest family in the Nebula Kingdom."

Roy initiated as he broke out in laughter and took out the card from the box he had contained it in, placing it onto the table carefully as he took out what seemed like a glass shard with ancient characters carved into it.

Even though Ace wasn't able to recognise the characters, the throbbing pain in his head was telling him that he must take the glass shard from Roy regardless of the consequences that might follow, in Ace's mind, he could hear a voice whispering into his mind.

"Take the glass shard, it represents the future that you seek. Merge all nine and…"

Before the voice could finish, the sharp pain made Ace groaned in pain as he fell onto the ground, his arms supporting his body right before he crashed against the ground subconsciously, shaking his head, Ace realised that Rain and Roy were perplexed by what just happened.

Was it just my own imagination or was there a voice speaking into my mind?

Ace himself was more confused than Rain and Roy, but trying to figure out the situation right now wasn't a wise decision as he picked himself off the ground, brushing off the matter, "It's fine."

"Senior Roy, can I have that glass shard?" Ace asked in a trembling voice as he sat on the sofa, leaning back to calm himself down.

"Of course, this glass shard was found alongside the card from the despair ruins and it was instructed that the glass shard should go to the cultivator who bidded for the card successfully." Roy explained and placed the glass shard right above the box.

*Blink*

The sudden glow caught their attention as they looked towards the glass shard in shock, only to realise that the card had broken free from the box which sealed it

The card once again gave off the same pressure as it did previously, but with only the three of them bearing its pressure without the principal from the Harmony Academy right now, Rain and Roy were struggling to breathe because of the constant pressure from the card.

Rotating slowly at a forty-five degrees angle, the card was once glowing as Ace walked up to it, grabbing the card out of instinct as Rain and Roy stared at him, unable to get him to back away from the card, which was already grabbed in his hand.

Instead of feeling afraid, Ace could feel himself entering a state of trance, his eyes were closed as his soul spirit manifested behind his back of its own accord, but in a totally different form from the first time Ace manifested it.

The sword was of a dark shade of scarlet red, glowing with an ominous aura black in colour which traced around the edge of the sword, yet blending in with the sword to create an entity that stands out.

To the side of the sword were wings, violet in card, the next moment, the Phoenix's sword of Ace suddenly flew out from the system's inventory and merged itself with his sword spirit, but instead of panicking, Ace could feel the time capsule which the system just awarded him after obtaining the card being crushed.

"Due to a sudden influx of energy into the host's body, the time capsule has been crushed and suppressed into one day, do take note, if the host fails to handle the sudden burst of energy even with this delay provided by the system, only death awaits the host."

The system warned in a cold systematic voice as the fear of death sent chills down Ace's spine as he sucked in a cold breath of air, only managing to squeeze out one final sentence from his mouth before he entered a state of focused cultivation.

"Provide me with as much spirit energy as possible…"

Roy may have only just recovered from the pressure, but he still managed to understand the gravity of the current situation as he immediately took out all the peak grade spirit stones in his spatial ring and set them up for Ace.

Not only that, he also took out some treasures which might be able to help Ace while getting Rain to do the same as well before the two of them left the room, they have done everything they could, the rest was up to Ace and his fate.

"Now then, since life you want to play with me once more, I shall become a Lord and make the cultivation world tremble in fear, it's about time for me to surpass you for once and the moment that happens, it'll be for a lifetime."

Ace muttered under his breath before closing his eyes.
