Dimension portal forcibly closed

The man shouted for backup which was immediately acknowledged by his comrade who was right behind him.

The man stopped in his tracks while his comrade quickly caught up from behind, "Where's he right now? We should spread out to prevent him from escaping again."

"Don't worry, after we capture him, we'll definitely be heavily rewarded by our leader."

The man laughed as he took out a few metal spheres and held them in his hand, scattering them in every direction which caused an explosion after it settled into the ground.

"Danger...me...scared…"

The young man scurried out from his hiding location with his teeth sinking into a juicy fruit, but when the two cultivators chasing him saw this fruit, they were enraged immediately.

That was a longevity peach which could increase the lifespan of any cultivator by ten years, even if it's consumed by a mortal, their lifespan would still be able to increase by ten years as well.

It was a cultivation resource which was being preserved and protected by all cultivation forces worldwide so that they can be mass produced again, yet this peach was being consumed by some lunatic without any cultivation.

These two cultivators however have neglected one fact, they had spent a long period of time chasing this young man they perceive as a sneaky rat.

"I'll take his life, just prevent him from escaping again."

The man who had scattered the metal spheres told his comrade as he brandished his sabre and walked up towards the young man who was on all fours, as though he's a beast since birth.

"Don't get...near me...I kill...not scared…"

The young man stuttered, but when he sensed killing intent from the man looming over him, his natural killing instincts took over as his nails extended and became long fangs.

"What in the…"

Before the man could finish what he had to say, the young man had already punctured his body with his sharp claws, spinning the claws in his open wound before pulling his claws away, leaving him to survive on his last breath.

Taking out the most precious recovery elixir, he swallowed it, but to no avail of recovery for his injuries.

The wound was spreading and infecting his entire body, he wanted to end his own life, but realised that his body was paralysed and that the pain was consuming him.

His meridians were shattered, his muscles were being torn, his bones were being broken, his control over his own body lost as well, in the end, all he could do was suffer in pain before entering the cycles of reincarnation.

"You...bad...want...hurt...me…"

The young man growled and pounced towards the man who was covering his path of retreat, this young man didn't understand the situation, he was just allowing his instincts to do as it deemed fit as he took another life in the cruelest way possible.

In this type of situation, instant death was probably the best form of relief.

But seeing your body being destroyed through your own eyes while experiencing it was more than just a nightmare, especially when your limbs were separating from your body bit by bit as though it's a mechanical robot being dismantled.

By the time someone came across this here, all that would remain of these two cultivators would be nothing. Even their clothing would disintegrate and corrode from the toxicity imbued in those claws.

As for this young man, he had already left in search of more food, his identity and existence a mystery to everyone present except for the being which released him in.

Was he human or was he a demon? Even he himself was lost without any humans who were willing to guide him, all this young man had seen was the dark side of the world with everyone attempting to make use of him.

As a slave to do labour, as a captive to be sold for a sky high price for research purposes, or even as a prostitute. Every human he met held malicious intent, brewing the natural instinct of countering in him.

In the meantime, the Nirvana Sect had made arrangements for the exploration team to only be led by two of them only, as for those still scavenging for cultivation resources near their fortress territory, Alexander ordered for them to carry on since the rewards were bountiful and worth the effort.

The two who were going to explore the dangerous ruins were Lancelot and Garen.

Lancelot was chosen because of his extraordinary combat strength while Alexander stayed behind because he was the center of their development right now, not to mention that Lancelot was stronger than him in terms of combat strength in most aspects/

As for Garen, his vision scouting abilities were of much use and would be able to assist Lancelot in exploring the ruins without getting into any significant danger that could pose a threat to his life.

"Garen, which path do we go by first?"

Lancelot and Garen came to a stop a few hundred meters deep into the ruins with three paths they have to decide from.

All three paths were pitch black and even if they had the strength to make their way through each path to gather information, it would be too time consuming as compared to the scouting skills which Garen could utilise.

"Give me a moment."

Garen stated as he gathered his projectiles into an eagle while activating gathering some light energy to form a glowing eagle which could light up the way ahead.

The first path led to a dead end.

The middle path was the home of a demon beast which was currently asleep.

The third path to the right was the only one which led to the deeper parts of the ruin as Garen got Lancelot to walk through the third path while he left a marking behind with a projectile so that they could navigate their way back later.

But after they left, a mysterious force wiped out the marking garen made with a swoosh, silently but cleanly.

Not only that, the positions of the paths changed as though it was a puzzle piece meant to be played out this way.

"Official, this is bad, we have lost full control of the ruins in the dimension."

"What?"

The official who was occupied with planning how things should continue in the dimension blurted in shock when he heard of this piece of news.

The ruins were the most dangerous part of the dimension and they only made it possible to locate it because it was under their control, or so they had thought, not only that, the mark he had left behind as a Martial Emperor was actually wiped off a long time ago without him noticing.

"Damn it!"

"Open up the dimension, I need to enter the ruins fast before someone gets into a life threatening situation."

The official demanded as he bolted up from his seat and rushed towards the dimension portal, only to realise that it had been completely sealed off.

"Official, I don't know what happened either, but the portal suddenly closed by itself and I couldn't reactivate it, but before the portal fully closed, a voice spoke through it."

The guard on duty explained as the official placed his hands on the guard's shoulder and tightened his grip, asking the guard what the voice said before the portal closed.

"It said to locate the Nirvana inheritor and invite him here, only then will the portal once again activate itself, it also mentioned…"

"What did it say?"

"It said that if we're unable to locate the Nirvana Inheritor within three months, then we can ready ourselves to collect the corpses of every single youth trapped in the dimension.

"You're dismissed."

The official sighed and strolled towards the communication area and sent a message to Ultric.
