Venom's greatest fear?

After the Demon Lords came to terms with the truth that Ace had extraordinary mental strength, they concluded that Ace must have received the inheritance of a Martial Saint at the very least.

After all, a Martial Saint would have cultivated their mental energy to the peak of the Universal realm at the very least, making it possible for their mental energy to be preserved and passed down to someone else.

As for Ace, his identity was unknown to them, but it was of minor importance since it wouldn't make an impact in this dimension anyway. Furthermore, they were sure that Ace wasn't someone from the Divine realm.

Cultivators from the Divine realm would have a Divine Aura around them, which was what differentiated them from lowly cultivators from the fragmented cultivation world. At the very least, this was how the situation was in the perspective of those cultivators from the Divine Realm.

Geniuses in the fragmented cultivation world were nothing more than ordinary cultivators with average talent. This was the difference between the cultivators of the Divine Realm and the fragmented cultivation world.

Even Martial Ancestors, who are the peak experts of the fragmented cultivation world with the strength to rule over all life even in the Holy Land, located at the centre of the fragmented cultivation world, were at most elders in the weakest sects and cultivation forces in the Divine Realm.

But as for the exact division of strength in the Divine Realm, that would be explained at a later time.

"Young fella, we have arrived. The rest is up to you now." The Turtle Demon Lord and the others stopped in their tracks, their eyes gazing at a specific tree.

That tree towered over the others, its lush leaves preventing the trees around it from gaining much access to sunlight, leaving the other trees to vie for the insufficient amount of sunlight to support their growth.

In the middle of the bark was an oval-shaped hole, and from within it, Ace could see a pair of eyes staring back at him.

Species: Lightborn Owl (Blessed Species)

Unique trait: Able to live its entire life without sleep, cultivation speed is doubled in the day and comparable to even the talented geniuses of the Divine Realm

Note: Those with weak mental strength should back off

After getting the statistics of this owl with the system's assistance, Ace finally understood why the Turtle Demon Lord asked him about his mental energy cultivation, which was coincidentally the least of his worries in overall cultivation terms.

"Hoot! Hoot!"

The owl peeked out from its home, and when it saw Ace, it immediately flew out of its hole in an attempt to kill this intruder.

"Owl Demon Lord, please allow me to explain myself!"

"No!" The Owl Demon Lord rejected Ace immediately and conjured a mass of mana (spirit energy), blasting it towards Ace as an energy ball.

"Shattered Despair!"

Utilising the same attack, which he had comprehended through his own life experiences, Ace dispersed the energy ball without difficulty.

"Owl Demon Lord, I need your assistance in dealing with the upcoming disaster. Four of the seven Demon Lords have agreed to assist me in retaliating against this disaster. In return, I'll break the seal on all of you after all seven Demon Lords are gathered."

Ace explained in a hurry before the Owl Demon Lord launched its next attack.

The Owl Demon Lord remained flying in the air, its eyes still staring at Ace before it returned to the entrance of its hole and stood there.

"I'll follow you, but you must withstand this mental pressure at the very least." The Owl Demon Lord said towards Ace calmly, as though giving Ace the final verdict.

The next moment, Ace could sense the mental pressure around him increasing. The Owl Demon Lord was taking things a step further than expected. It was going to test Ace on both his physical and mental aspects.

The pressure was increasing second by second, yet Ace received the gradually increasing pressure without a change in emotion. He was staring at the Owl Demon Lord.

The Owl Demon Lord returned the gaze, only to avert its gaze in fear as the pressure around Ace immediately dispersed.

The Owl Demon Lord flew out of its hole and told Ace that he could continue to lead the way as it went to greet the others.

The Venomous Viper, which had been holding a grudge towards Ace for forcing him on this journey changed its expression immediately, after the others suggested that they should meet the sixth Demon Lord now.

"Is something the matter? Why aren't any of you following me?" Ace turned around and asked when he realised that he had left all the Demon Lords behind.

"Venom, you can just hide once we arrive, we'll cover up for you." The Owl Demon Lord, who had just joined the party suggested in laughter as it put on its circular black glasses.

"That's right Venom, you can count on us brothers when the time comes." The Silver Talon Demon Lord assured as it pulled the Golden Talon Demon Lord to his side.

The Turtle Demon Lord also took a stand and explained that everything will be fine.

"What do all of you know? Do you know what it feels like to be constantly on the passive side against a female? Not to mention that all of you will betray me immediately the moment we arrive!"

"Senior Demon Lords, what's the matter? We need to hurry up before we run out of time, it'll take me quite some time to break the seal on all of you." Ace approached them and inquired, reminding the Demon Lords of their priorities.

"But…." The Venomous Viper turned towards Ace, its eyes full of the plea.

"What's the matter?" Ace might not have a good impression towards the Venomous Viper, but he still had to care for his followers after all.

The Venomous Viper wanted to explain for himself, but didn't know where to start from.

Understanding the character of the Venomous Viper despite the tough appearance he has developed for himself, the Turtle Demon Lord decided to explain for his friend.

"Young fella, the sixth Demon Lord that you're going to recruit has taken a liking towards Venom you see…"

The Turtle Demon Lord didn't elaborate further, but Ace was able to get the gist of what he was trying to imply as he ended the conversation with an awkward cough before turning away.

With his back still facing the group of Demon Lords, Ace explained, "Everything will be fine with my presence."

The Venomous Viper knew that he didn't have a choice and resigned to his fate with a sigh, expecting Ace to help him out when the time comes.

However, what he didn't know is that the Silver Talon Demon Lord had already enveloped everyone besides the Venomous Viper in the invisible barrier so that they could conclude.

When they arrived at the home of the sixth Demon Lord. Ace finally understood why Viper was so afraid of this female Demon Lord.

The sixth Demon Lord was a serpent that was even bigger-sized than the Venomous Viper, which was male.

(Note: Vipers are poisonous while serpents aren't)

"Wow, what are all of you doing here? Is Venom here with all of you?" The Serpent Demon Lord asked as it took on its human form. In fact, all of the Demon Lords here could take on their demon form, it's just that it would bring them some inconvenience in confirming their identity, but it was fine for them to take on the human form now.

One by one, all of them took on their human forms.

The Turtle Demon Lord was a shorty old man who looked as though he was one foot into the grave,

The two Talon brothers had the appearance of middle-aged men while the owl actually took on the appearance of a young scholar, elegant and charming to females.

As for Venom, Ace realised that he had already scurried away.

As for the female serpent, Ace couldn't see a reason for the Venomous Viper to be so afraid of her.

She was definitely a first-class beauty even in the human world. That pair of alluring emerald eyes, cherry red lips and slim figure, was one that most women would dream for, yet the Venomous Viper was being afraid of her.

"Venom isn't here with us." The Turtle Demon Lord said as he averted his gaze, only to receive the sinister smile of the Serpent Demon Lord who questioned him again.

"Are you sure that Venom isn't here?"

"He's here! He's here! I'm pretty sure that he's hiding behind that rock over there!" The Silver Talon Demon Lord immediately confessed as it used its wings to sweep up a gust of wind to shift the position of the gigantic rock, leaving Venom completely exposed in his human form.

Looking at the Venomous Viper, then turning his gaze back to the Serpent Demon Lord, he couldn't see how they weren't compatible with each other at all.

The man was handsome and elegant. The female was an alluring beauty with an aura of nobility around her.

"Hey, young fella, is Venom on this journey with you right now?" The Serpent Demon Lord asked as she brought Venom to her side against his own will.

Ace hesitated for a moment, but still nodded his head.

"Perfect, I'll be joining you then!"

And just like, there was only one Demon Lord left to recruit. Everyone was glad for this, except for Venom who knew that he was going to suffer in pain for the night.
