She was reborn!

"Tsk…so embarrassing!"

"She wanted to save him but was killed instead? What an idiot,"

"What's the use of torturing herself with weird body contortion. In the end, her achievement was death. So stupid!"

Hmm, she was dead right? Why was she hearing voices?

Bella Lim felt her consciousness returned and slowly she tried to open her eyes. The moment they were opened, a blinding sight of white greeted her eyes. She looked up, right, and left but the only thing she saw was the infinite color white. Then, she looked down…

Gasp!

Shocked and terrified, she tried to hold onto something because when she looked down, there was no sight of solid ground. All she saw was bottomless white fog and she was floating mid-air!

She clenched her hands into fists as anxiety began to take over her body. However, as if being urged by something, her eyes wandered all over her body and realized that she was no longer wearing the dress she took from the drunk woman. Instead, she was wearing a white long dress. So white she thought she was an angel.

"You're no angel," that voice again.

Bella Lim observed her surroundings. She wanted to find the owner of that voice. That person had been mocking her since she regained her consciousness.

But first, where was she? Was this heaven? Did she die a noble death that she was now floating in heaven? Yet, was heaven this plain?

"You don't need to know where you are. This is neither heaven nor hell,"

"Who are you?" this time, Bella Lim braved herself to ask. Her tremulous voice reverberated and echoed for quite some time. Actually, she wanted to yell at whoever was speaking to her, but under the circumstances where everything was too bizarre, she needed to be cautious.

Suddenly, a piercing golden light appeared in the void in front of her. Bella Lim felt that she could really become blind from staring at the light and instantly blocked the view with her palm.

After some time, she noticed that the intense golden light was getting softer and smaller. Then, the enormous light shrunk into the form of a person. However, there were still waves of golden light emitted around that person which made it difficult for Bella Lim to tell whether this human-like form was a he or a she. However, there was an entity that she thought would fit the view in front of her.

"God?" she asked with uncertainty. Because, who was she kidding?

"Oh, you're not that stupid," mocking again! Bella Lim was furious.

"You're not God," she said. The God she knew was kind and loving. For sure, the ruler of the universe would never ridicule her. No matter what!

"Oh, you're really not that stupid,"

Again? Bella Lim felt that this was the last of her endurance. If she was insulted one more time, she was willing to sin by tainting the entity's pure appearance with a spit.

"Don't worry. I'll not let you sin any more than the grave sin that you already did,"

"What do you mean?" she asked with a baffled expression.

What grave sin had she committed? Her whole life, she had devoted herself to take care of her little pumpkin and the workplace she was working at. She had been a good sister, a good worker. Yes, at times she made poor choices and thought badly of those who did her wrong. However, these shouldn't equivalent to the grave sin the entity talked about. Right?

What about all the good deeds she had done? Even in her last breath, she had tried to save somebody. Although she failed, that should be considered as a good deed. Wasn't it?

"You human," the entity tsked. Bella Lim could almost see the head shook in disappointment.

"You really think saving that man would bring good merit? The fact that you die was your greatest sin,"

Bella Lim was stunned. What did that mean?

"Wait, did you really think so?" the entity asked.

"Y-yes," Bella Lim admitted. Wasn't that a good merit?

"Have you ever think about what would happen to your brother once you die? Who would he depend on?"

Of course, she had thought about it. But, she still went to save him because if she didn't, Eric Wu would die. Was she wrong?

"Huh? You were afraid that he would die? What about your little brother? Do you think, a six years old could survive in that world? Stupid! You're the epitome of idiocy! I never met someone as idiot as you!"

Bella Lim was ridiculed again and again. However, this time around, the effect was not anger but shame.

Was she that stupid? The more she listened, the more she felt that she was indeed an idiot. But, even if she was an idiot, she would do it again. If there was another chance, she would attempt to save him again but with a better strategy.

"You're really stupid. You should wish that such a thing never to occur again. Even if that man was your benefactor, there was a limit to what you can do,"

Sighed. What's the use of wishing something that would never happen? All she could do now was to pray for little pumpkin. Hopefully, an angel could help him to survive the harsh world!

"Indeed, that boy needs an angel or someone would come and make him a devil. Bella Lim, remember you're his guardian. Next time if you encounter a similar situation, you must think first especially when it involves the people that you love. Don't be impulsive,"

Yes, of course. She wouldn't take such a hasty plan again. Eh, what?

"What-what do you mean?" Bella Lim asked as she adorned a hopeful expression.

"Hmmph! You should be thankful you're given a second chance to live again," the entity harrumphed.

Really? Really?! Bella Lim couldn't believe her ears. Her jaw slackened.

"Oh wait, I was told that you can either choose to go to hell or be reborn. What's your choice?" the entity was really a shrewd one. Bella Lim felt that he or she was making use of every chance to make fun of her.

"I choose to be reborn," she said without any hesitation. If she could, she would scream the same words until it reached God.

There was a silence moment until the entity spoke again.

"Bella Lim, as the messenger of God, I hereby announced the verdict of your death. You are hereby to be reborn to the same identity. Also, heaven has granted three compensations due to your unjust death. First, you'll bring along your work as the manager of Simply Café in your next life. Second, Ryan Lim will retain his current age as a six years old boy. Third, you'll find out when the time is right. This time, live your life without regret!"

"No matter what happened after the reborn, remember kindness will always override evil!"

Yes, she would remember those words…

Bella Lim realized that her surroundings began to change and she could no longer see the entity.

The thick color of white that surrounded her was gradually engulfed by darkness.

"What irony…" she mumbled before her consciousness shut down.
