Chapter 39; Game Of Flirting

* We cannot see the world for what it truly is because our eyes have been clouded by the past and future. We are not living in the now, we are not truly alive yet, yet we hold back afraid of regret, but then we regret either way, don't we?*

-- Nothing is as it's seems.

The ball went down the cutter.

I smiled brightly but then pouted when Jackson laughed.

"Another one who can't even bowl!" He howled. I whirled around but my head butted against Stiles chest. I think I might've hit his ribs. I stumbled back out of shock and looked up he was holding a ball, shrugging his shoulders.

"You said we need to win, so let me help." He offered. I tilted my head and nodded taking the ball and getting back in position to roll the ball. Stiles's (Please tell me that's right?) hand crept under my elbow holding it higher, his leg pushed mine a little closer to his chest.

"It's the same as rolling a normal ball. And please don't throw me in to the hospital." He says grinning.

" I'll try, handsome, but I can't make no promises if I can't keep them, now can I? " I say with a twinkle in my eyes as I winked up at Stiles he rolled his eyes at my antics knowing I was joking around.

"Sure, sure, sunflower. C'mon try." He says and gently tucked my arm back, I grinned and forcefully threw my arm bcak even more without touching him, his arm instinctively followed. With one move I rolled the ball down and eyed it as it crazily rick-rocketted in the lane before knocking 'bout three pins down. I jumped and pumped the air, twirling around mid air I landed with my arms around Stiles neck, kissing his cheeks.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you...." I repeated with each kiss. My feet dangled because of his height, okay I was actually very short so I couldn't really say much I mean I barely reach Alison's chin! Stiles swung us around letting a burst of giggles bubble out of my mouth and making Alison and Scott laugh along with us. Stiles put my down and ruffled my braided hair.

"Hey! That took an hour!" I yelled and lightly punched his shoulder.

"It's not my fault that you're acting like an overgrown child." Stiles pointed out.

" Well yeah but still! This took me a freakin' hour!" I say pouting playfully, Stiles quickly caught on and shook his head, before all of the sudden I felt a ticklish sensation from my sides. Stiles was tickling me.

"St-st-sto-op!" My eyes began to water as I tried to back away from him but he was holding on and I didn't wanna hurt him, he was my friend after all. Without thinking or really meaning to I kissed his neck to get him to stop, which worked and I happily sat down besides Scott and Alison who were still laughing. The night slowly ticked away, games of playful banters being thrown around.

Sighing I dropped my jacket on the hanger next to the door of the house and walked towards the kitchen, but stopped at the sight of a short elf like person. Her hair a swirl of red and golden hues. She was standing on a chair reaching for the cupboards above the counter.

Her arms covered in bandages and reaching for a jar of cookies.

"You know, those with long fingers die without any at all." I say leaning against the inside of the door. She screamed, she dropped the jar which fell on the counter, the chair gave way from underneath her feet, her balance gone. My feet moved against my mind.
