Sole surviving Incarnation

Rewinding time a bit back to where Masaru was currently setting up his distraction with no way to hide his intentions, yet the heretic god and Voban did not pay attention to him at all since his magical power wave was silent despite him gathering an ridicilous amount of it within his hand. 'It will be my first time trying this' Masaru thought,

Searching around he managed to find a sharp shard of rock amongst the rubbles caused by the battle that was undergoing above him, cloaking it in magic power. Masaru glanced at Solomon and Voban once more 'First I will have to do something to distract that old man, this shard would have to do. Just hope the location I intend to attack is not tough' Masaru thought lowering his posture readying himself.

From his knowledge only powers of God or attacks of that level could injure heretic gods or Campione, so he began pouring his time energy to enchant the nails, it was rough work for the first time but he managed to complete it when he felt traces of his energy within the nails and plank. With everything completed he used his monstrous strength authority on his legs to leap towards the Heretic God but at the same time a massive explosion of air attracted the attention of Voban and the Heretic God to look downwards, because of their haughty attitude of looking down on a child they would never imagine Matteo appeared behind the Goatman, Matteo used his time power to freeze time within the domain which covered Voban and Baphomet to freeze them temporary in time. Matteo gripped the neck of Baphomet tightly before shoving the wood plank within its throat.

Voban and Solomon were both alarmed when they heard a loud yell from below, "MASARU!!!" Paolo called out from below, using this instant as an opening Masaru used space magic, Warp. To instantly travel the short distance right in front of Voban, with a slash he aimed the shard towards Voban.

Yet, Masaru was already prepared since he was told many times that the battle instincts of a Campione was terrifying. Tilting his body backwards, Masaru used the last bit remaining Magic power he did not use to cast a wind magic, gale. To propel himself like a human canonball towards Voban, his eyes squinted with his focus towards his target. "You brat!!!"

Voban roared as he attacked, he underestimated the child and chose not to pay attention to his instincts that was screaming at him to dodge and insteand moved forward without care. It was not till it was already to late, when he felt an intense pain pulsate from his eye socket.Followed by a warm liquid he could feel running down his cheek almost endlessly, he swiftly clasp his right hand over his eye glaring at Masaru.

yet he did not attack immediately, he was shocked. He never wanted to believe it that this child outwitted him, the child used his arrogance against him and managed to land a deadly strike against him. If he did not move back on time, he would have been dead there and then. 'This brat, his instincts and forsight is comparable to us Campione's!' He thought.

The shard did not penetrate too deeply since Voban moved backwards quickly while slapping Masaru away, clenching his teeth Masaru took the hit on as he was launched in the direction of Solomon. The blow Voban gave him was something Masaru would not have been able to handle if it was not for his training under Paolo and his martial talent that allowed him to react on time to minimize the impact at the right instant. Even if he could not avoid injuries, he managed to survive the attack.

"WHAT!?" Solomon was taken aback at how fast everything became chaotic, he did not even have time to ready himself for a counterattack and instead he erected a divine barrier around him.

BANG!

Masaru's fist enhanced and cloaked in devil power began to give off creaking sounds as the punch moved inch by inch forward, the reason for this moment was due to Masaru using the wisp of "Worthless" Bloodline power that was link to his soul ever since his previous life he managed to elevate the bloodline power into a soul innate ability that was comparable to laws of the world.

With wortheless creating a crack, Masaru's single target focus punch managed to breach through the barrier. "WHAT!?" Solomon cried out but his voice was interrupted the moment Masaru slammed his fist into his face, causing his fist's bones to break upon impact yet the force was enough to give Solomon a nosebleed.

Seeing this, Masaru felt his blood growing cold. He failed, yet he did not regret his actions. "You bastard!" Immediately Solomon began to speak, his voice sounding soothing like a priest that was praying towards the heavens, if only it was not for his crazed bloodlust that was locking onto Masaru.

"Ten Rings of Solomon!" Solomon cried out as he slapped both his hands together, suddenly a golden halo materialized in front of him shooting towards Masaru before capturing him.

"ARGH!!!!" Masaru screamed out in pain feeling the halo constricting him too tightly, his already battered body was bleeding and his bones were breaking along with already broken bones piercing deeper into his organs.

The scream grew even more tormenting for Paolo who saw Masaru's face becoming pale, then blue followed by purple. yet the life within Masaru's eye did not fade, despite screaming in pain he did not yield. His mind that was tormented as if a millions of red ants biting him relentlessly, could not shatter his pride as he refused to give in to the man before him.

"Are you going to watch me die!?" Masaru screamed, he knew he was reckless. Even if he did nothing he would still be killed by Voban once he succeeded, however, Masaru counted on this magic circle sealed within his soul which he could not activate. It was the source that gave him courage to attack, even knowing he would die if he failed.

The magic circle within his soul began to pulse with a pure white light, with each pulse the light grew brighter till the point that Masaru himself began to glow on and off with each pulse. The light intensity increased further and further, forcing Solomon to back off and the golden halo shattered under the pressure of a powerful being that was materializing like a mountain.

Within it's chest where Masaru was floating, unconscious. a Massive figure materialized like a projection looking down on Voban and Solomon who appeared like ants before it, it's familiar silver hair and amber coloured eyes could be assosiated with Masaru. yet the two, Voban and Solomon felt this being was someone different, he was a god.

"So this is the world where my surviving Incarnation has been sent to?" The giant spoke with a booming voice, yet it did not travel further than the surrounding camp, wearing a black robe with amber coloured embroidies and the Belial Crest embedded on the back.

Masaru Belial, who was informed by Origin that the magic circle had been triggered was summoned for a temporary period marvelled at how his incarnation managed to reincarnate in a world he was familiar with. "Only one of my incarnations survived the reincarnation of my first batched and ended up in the world of Campione... How mysterious fate words"

He muttered glancing at the two people for a while, he already knew what was going on so he did not waste anymore time. With a single flick of his finger he muttered with a soft voice, "Codex of the Worthless: Devour of the weak" a transparent sphere penetrated Solomon's chest, before he could scream his entire body frozen the moment the artefact in Pandora activated.

"Ara? Another child is being born---THE HELL ARE YOU!?" Pandora who appeared from thin air was taken aback by the gigantic Masaru belial who blushed a bit, using his magic power he instantly shrinked to the size of five meter tall mini-giant.

"Who are you?" Pandora asked warily,

"I'm just a passerby" Masaru said, hearing this Pandora also sensed his intent so she did not continue to ask since she could feel that he would be able to kill her instantly with his abilities which frightened her.

"Get lost" Masaru muttered when he glanced at Voban, as someone who had knowledge of Campione he knew this little beta wolf was necessary for his incarnation.

"I only came here when my little son was in danger, nothing more nothing less. It was nice meeting you Pandora" Masaru said with a smile, without waiting for Pandora to respond to him.

He snapped his finger, the first thing that happened was that everyone's memories (Excluding Pandora) was changed before he disappeared. With no intentions of appearing in this world again.

"Son?" Pandora muttered glancing at Masaru who was still floating in front of her due to her authority holding him from falling, her interest in this boy grew when she thought of this. An singularity appeared that was a god, a god that she did not know of. Meaning a God that was not influenced by the Gods of Fate.

'This child's potential is terrifying' Pandora thought the moment she snapped out of her stupor from Masaru Belial's appearance and disappearance. Looking at how Solomon was being drained in entirety meant that Masaru's compatibility with Solomon was terrifying good, but that did not mean all good.

Even if Masaru gained the entire set of authorities Solomon could wield, it came with restrictions. Yet she still felt that Masaru would become the strongest Campione in History if he matures, 'Perhaps he would be able to complete the wish of us' She thought,

"I have much to tell you, my newborn child. The youngest son of I, Pandora and Epimetheus, go forth and live on as a Campione" She muttered with a warm smile of a mother,

"And never bow your head to anyone, other than your wives" She said while the last part was a joke on her end, with a gentle kiss on his forehead. Pandora sent Masaru floating down till he was caught by Paolo, looking at Paolo with a warm smile she instantly disappeared before the ritual was over.

Solomon could not talk during the ritual as the sphere that Masaru Belial used on him, forced Masaru Hayami to devour him entirely instead of only taking his authorities. Hench, he was nothing more than food which Masaru ate thoroughly.

Masaru was unconscious when Paolo caught him, making sure that he was fine Paolo took Masaru with him down the stairs, 'No one knows that Masaru is a Campione?' Paolo thought while looking at his men, he knew that they had been taught about Campione's and he knew how they look at one when they discover or meet one.

Yet his men were moving without looking differently at Masaru, he did indirectly inquire his men to be sure and felt relieved that only he and Voban should be the only ones to know that Masaru was a Campione.

He ordered his men to finish up with the cleaning and ensure that the one-child that managed to survive was cared for before she would be sent back home if nothing is wrong with her. Before he left while carrying the sleeping Masaru.

"You really were reckless boy, you should not have done that" Paolo felt a bit helpless at this boy's recklessness but he too felt proud of him, Masaru managed to survive the ordeal and even became a Campione. He could not remember the process of it, just knowing Masaru was a Campione is already more than enough.

'I will make it up to you... For being the one to drag you entirely into this world' Paolo thought while feeling depressed, the life of a Campione was not simple and death lurk around each corner. He had to make sure he trained Masaru attentively, for the sake of survival and to atone for his mistake.

'I will have to make sure that I keep an eye on Voban' Paolo added this thought to his mind considering that he would need to deal with Voban if that old wolf would come back for revenge, yet he would never expect that Voban would never have such thoughts.

Meanwhile, Voban who fled without looking back was sweating profusely. His entire body was wet and smelled of sweat, yet he did not stop running at all. Even now he could remember the cold shiver that went down his spine when he heard the deity told him to scram, he did not even have the courage to become angry at him.

'That being dangerous!' Voban thought and fled decisively, he did not even think about the authority he lost, nor revenge on the child who interrupted it.

Paolo arrived back home while carrying Maasaru into the Manor, he saw Liliana and Erica were waiting for them but when they saw Masaru sleeping they were worried running over to look at Masaru's adorable sleeping face. Despite not saying anything, the two girls knew Masaru was unconscious and not sleeping normally.

"Uncle, why is Masaru so tired?" Erica was the smart one as she knew her uncle took Masaru for something, she could guess it was related to her uncle's work.

"He saved a child" Paolo answered while walking towards Masaru's room, yet he still felt a cold sweat run down his spine at the gaze of Erica and Liliana. They did not glare at him, yet the feeling was even more terrifying and he knew they were really furious.

Erica did not ask more questions but she was proud that Masaru saved someone since she too wanted to experience being saved by her beloved prince. Little did she know that such a day would truly arrive.

Paolo placed Masaru in the bed but the two girls were already dressed in their pyjamas crawling into the bed to sleep together with him, they were still worried as the two of them knew their fathers told them their work was dangerous, so the least the two of them could do for Masaru was to remain at his side at times like this.

Paolo did not say a thing about this since he knew it was necessary to aid Masaru, the boy saw death and experienced death. The most efficient manner to rehabilitate him would be to have him close to the girls so he only switched off the lights leaving the room.

Taking out his cellphone he contacted his friend, "Liliana will be sleeping over" Paolo briefly explained what happened during the mission, he left out the fact that Masaru was a Campione.

Lord Kanjcar who heard this could only smile wryly, "I see, I will pick up Liliana tomorrow since she will prefer to spend more time with her friends"

Next morning Masaru has been pulled around together with Erica and Liliana who wanted to garner his attention, he did not mind it since it was two beautiful girls who wanted only his attention, he gave them both all the attention and playing together till they felt more relaxed.

Yet from time to time, Masaru would breathe heavily while thinking of that incident. It took him a moment to calm himself down, he knew that he was not responsible and did everything he could. But the sight of death still haunted his conscience, so he went alone to the garden.

Due to his mind being in turmoil, he was not paying attention to Sebastian who was following him silently, when Masaru arrived in the garden he closed his eyes. He emptied his mind, removing all distracting thoughts. Although it sounds simple, it was an arduous task that him two hours to complete only halfway.

'I have to accept it' Masaru thought, he could not enter the state of nothingness and thought he had to accept it. Instead of running away, he had to face it, gnashing his teeth while clenching his fist. He let his mind go and relieved his memories once more, and some more till he felt like he went through is hundreds of times before his heart began to calm down.

'I will avenge you all' Masaru thought, he knew a Campione could not easily die. So he intends to beat that old beta wolf half to death, several times in his life as punishment.

With his mind calm, he focuses his consciousness into his soul space. Where he noticed the three statues that he did not manage to glean of any information was surrounding a single statue, it was a handsome young man with long curly hair reaching to his calves tied near the end of the strands.

Holding his both his hands, he held a book in each. All ten fingers decorated with ten signet rings, and the body (skin) of the statue was made out of bronze. Just looking at the statue, Masaru could glean off that he managed to inherit four Authorites from Solomon who died mysteriously, he knew it intuitively.

Lesser Key of Solomon

Key of Solomon

Ten Rings of Solomon

And finally, the Bronze Vessel.

The first authority. Lesser key of Solomon. Was the Book Lemegeton, which includes the chapters of Ars Goetia, Ars Theurgia Goetia, Ars Paulina, Ars Almadel, Ars Notoria and finally Ars Nova.

Ars Goetia that gave him the ability to summon demonic creatures, and demons of the Pillars.

Ars Theurgia that allowed him to summon spirits from the realm of the dead.

Ars Pauling that gave him the ability to to summon angels and archangels.

Each of these three also came along with other special abilities, yet he knew he was not powerful enough to use these special abilities.

Even his current self, he could only summon imps or goblins as Demonic beings, single pair winged angels, or souls that were not sentient and only good enough for scouts.

Not to mention that this authority also came with a restriction on the amount of times he could summon, next up was:

Ars Almadel gave him the innate ability of Clairvoyance that he would have to train before he would be able to use it to read the past and future.

Ars Notoria that allowed him to gain Eidetic Memory and learn a spell almost instantaneously, yet the restrict applied that he had to chant a prayer and each user could only be used on one book or a single spell he wishes to learn or remember.

And Finally Ars Nova, this was a special kind of chapter. And it was something Masaru would not use unless the time came for it, so he did not even bother reading it further and went onto his next Authority.

Key of Solomon, it was yet another book authority that only had two chapters. And both were related to Magic Casting & Magic Operations.

Chapter of Magic, this grants Masaru the ability to gain Greco-Roman magic knowledge such as conjurations, invocations and curses to summon and constrain spirits of the dead and demons in order to compel them to do his will.

It also contains spells on how to find stolen items, become invisible, gain favour and love, and so on. The level he could access was only those meant for apprentices, which made him feel perplexed.

Chapter Magical Treatise, is the support profession chapter that contained knowledge and guidance in Blacksmithing, Alchemy, engineering, enchantment, talisman creation. Containing the knowledge of things Solomon created including theories so Masaru would not be limited and could continue to improve the knowledge contained within.

Yet once more, the access he had was very basic. 'How disappointing' Masaru thought, he would have to train to increase his strength which was different from other Campiones.

The next authority of Solomon, the third one. The Ten Rings of Solomon, other than granting Masaru the ability to communicate with various beings without the need to study their languages, it contains a powerful magic spell that can only be activated once a day.

He shook his head and finally looked at the last authority, he felt he lost. Its name was Bronze Vessel, and it was a sealing container which beings Masaru subdue would be sealed within.

And it was the restriction regarding his summoning chapter (Goetia & Paulina) where he would have to subdue the demons of the 72 pillars and the archangels first and seal them before he could "summon" them. meaning, he had to search for them and catch them all.

Other than that, this authority had no other use at all which made Masaru feel perplexed. His god authority was no different from a Summoning Magician who had a variety of creation side professions, there were no melee bonuses for him at all.

"Oh no..." Masaru muttered when he instinctively sensed his magic powers, he immediately realized that becoming a Campione made him underwent a change which caused his previous abilities where he could use magic by the use of imaginations to become invalid.

Glancing at the "Key of Solomon" Authority he knew this thing was the culprit, overwriting his magic system towards the manner how Solomon used it. "Will I have to pray to God each time I want to cast a spell?"

Masaru was a believer that there was a God, he did not believe in the bible, God nor Buddha. He simply believed that there was indeed a being far above their existence, otherwise many things could not be explained even with maths and other means. For him that is.

"Praise to the heavens, Damn to the hell. Heed my call and grant me my wish, Lemegeton!" Masaru muttered a short incantation, an ancient thick book appeared in front of him.

The cover was written in strange runic letters that resembles a bit of Latin during the middle ages period, glancing at the book he was quite happy. Yet after probing for a bit, he realized that he could change the appearance of the book and thus he immediately summoned the Key of Solomon as well transforming both the grimoires into a pair of bracelets.

When he ordered the books to transform, both books began to break up in light particles before flashing towards his wrists creating two silver plain bracelets, the reason he chose the bracelets is that he did not need to read the contents of the book to cast whatever he needed, the book was simply a symbolic appearance.

Thus he chose to change them into a pair of bracelets, that way he could fight without it being in his way. He did consider changing the two books into sentient humanoid beings, but immediately shrug off that idea as he would have no idea how to explain it to Erica, Liliana, Sebastian and the others.

With the knowledge of magic coming into his mind from the bracelets Matteo circulates his mana within his body towards his right-hand index finger pointing upwards, "The God has spoken! The night has arrived, light a fire to guide my sheeps"

A small flame appeared in the form in a miniature sphere spinning right in front of his finger ignoring the gravity as if it did not exist. "The prayer is not needed, but it does indeed boost the offensive prowess of a spell by a fold" Masaru muttered when he sensed the power hidden within this tiny sphere.

Taking some time, he kept experimenting with different kinds of spells, when he managed to calm down, he naturally knew Sebastian was watching him under the orders of Paolo by then.

'This is the authority of the god he gained from last night? But what does it do?' Sebastian thought, he did not realize that the manner Masaru cast his spells was different from before. He only thought that it was the norm that Campione chant strange words to use their authorities, so he did not take note of Masaru's magic is different. Much closer to that of a Demi-God of the human race.

Sebastian heads off swiftly towards Paolo, "Master, the young master has managed to activate his Authority although I am not sure what it does, it appears to be two books. But the young master changed them into bracelets"

Paolo who heard this was totally shocked, he knew his boy dealt the lethal hit on the heretic god but this, how in the world did this happen. "Books? Could it be the Key of Solomon and Lesser key?"

Sebastian cried out in surprise, although these two words spoke of two different books. It was actually an accumulation of many books, Paolo did not expect that his son would gain such a rule-breaking authority. And if he were to know that Masaru gained the ten rings including the bronze vessel, then Paolo would probably faint.

Because the current Masaru was no different from Solomon resurrected.

"This is also good, we can focus Masaru's magical studies in the direction of Solomon. We can also include his history, as well as the angels and demons. It should aid him in realizing ways to use his abilities... Hehe" Paolo said with a light chuckle,

'Well it really good that Masaru managed to gain two authorities, which should not be too restricted. According to my intelligence, the more abilities a single authority has the more restrictions' Paolo thought while he was completing documents preparing to reveal Matteo to the higher-ups since Voban discovered his existence.

Meanwhile, Masaru sat on the grass. Closing his eyes, he fleetingly read the Key of Solomon the second chapter. It was only after reading it entirely did Masaru felt that he was fortunate, although it was basics he could make use of these techniques to make money, enhance his equipment as well as his father's.

But most of all, he could progress further even if the higher-level knowledge is not unlocked by reading books of this world. As long as he masters the basics, he could progress with or without it regardless. But he did have a ambition to unlock it entirely, including his other abilities. Unlocking them all and become something stronger, a higher existence.

'For now, let's read some books in the library and compare them with the grimoires. See the differences in theories' Masaru thought for a moment before heading into the library, ever since Paolo knew Masaru discovered the existence of "Porno magazines" in the local library before he was brought here, he ensured there was none to be discovered in the library of the mansion.

Masaru took an Introductory guide to Magic Engineering to start his studies, it was never to early to start learning complicated things. After all, he only needed to say a prayer and memorize the book, for the time his comprehension increases along with his age. He would naturally be able to learn the book in its entirety.

Voban was currently commanding his undead servants to patrol around his manor, felt insecure. He was certain that being would not chase after him, yet he could not shave off the thoughts that it would. It was only after midnight came and pass, did he regain some composure.

His eye eyes flashed when he thought of the boy who was the cause of this. 'I will get you boy someday when I am certain you can't summon that deity anymore, when I confirmed it then I will hunt you down including your loved ones' He thought while gritting his teeth in rage, feeling humiliated for being chased away like a dog.

But if that deity came again, he would not hesitate to run away at his fastest speed. He was a beta wolf after all.

a Living servant came into the room when Voban called out for her, "Write up a report about this boy called Masaru, he is the son of Blandelli and I suspect he is a Campione who was born last night. Once written send it to several factions so they can become aware of this boy who joined the ranks"

Voban smirked sinisterly thinking he could now start to have this boy exposed to the dangers of the world earlier so he could grow into a wonderful prey he could toy with. ' Wait for me'
