Entering the house Matteo and the girls were welcomed by the most revolting smell of rotting flesh lingering in the air, the lights were off so the house appeared more eerily with occasional scratching noises could be heard coming from different rooms, they were in the short hallway that leads to three doors, one on the right that led to the lounge room, the left led to the dining room and the door up front led further in the house.

Matteo knew this small space will become a hindrance if he were to use Durandal so he did not summon it but instead he began to cloak his fists with purifying flames that were white burning flame that did not harm him, however, the presence of the flame completely purified the air around Matteo and the girls eliminating the horrendous smell from invading their senses. Erica entered the lounge to the right, Lilliana went into the dining room as Matteo told them there were a few ghouls inside the rooms so the once silent room was suddenly bursting with a variety of noises, slashing and painful yet angry roars could be heard coming from the room which attracted more ghouls towards Matteo who stood guard at the door that led deeper into the house.

Matteo began slamming his fists into the heads of the Ghouls as to not waste time killing them slowly since he realized that the number of ghouls were increasing which meant there was an underground base and if the small house is overrunning with Ghouls they would have a hard time clearing the way of corpses so they could go downwards, with that in mind Matteo summoned his spellbook authority "Come to me, spells of the world carved into the book with disinherited knowledge. Manifest before me thy wonders and let the world know of the sorceries which is forgotten. Singing Spellbook!"

When the familiar spell book appeared floating in front of him Matteo placed his hand on the cover of the book and began to use a wide area detection spell to scan the surroundings in order to make sure there is not another living being nearby, since there was no one else he cast several layers of barrier magic on himself and the girls, "Don't move!" Matteo called out to the girls as he began to chant swiftly "Gale Explosion!" Matteo cast a wide-scale air explosion magic which blew the entire house apart along with the dead corpses along with some living ghouls that later died from their heads being crushed.

When the dust and rubbles settled Matteo removed the barriers from himself and the girls and the three of them resumed their combat the moment the ghouls managed to dig out the entrance that had a caved-in which led to the underground base, "I'm going ahead so I will leave these ghouls to you two" Erica and Lilliana both nodded while Masaru used illusion magic to make his presence vague towards the Ghouls allowing him to slip past them before they would realize his presence again.

The stairs were much cleaner compared to the house's atmosphere except for the bloodstains all over the place, there was only a few red flickering lights which made Matteo believed that they probably triggered an alarm which was why the ghouls were storming so actively out, by the time he reached the second basement floor he came across a different kind of undead once again, how different? a Fireball was flying towards Matteo who used space magic to swallow the fireball and send it back flying towards the Undead that could cast magic.

Matteo stretch his hand to his right as a massive golden magic circle materialized in front of his open palm, He began to chant swiftly "Sword of Destruction that Terrify, Sword of Holy and Judgement, free yourself from heaven´s bonds" Soon the familiar hilt came out from the centre of the Magic Circle, as Matteo gripped the sword illusionary chains materialized as to try and hold onto the sword while Matteo continued his chant "Become one with my power, one with my body and let us walk the path of destruction together! The power that can smash even the souls of Heretics, Durandal!!"

The moment Matteo pulled out the sword entirely a wave of mana exploded which caused the undead to trip and collapse on its back which gave Matteo the chance to swiftly slash across its neck separating its head from its body while Matteo continued to move deeper into the base, "It's quite Fancy to see you arrived here sooner than we anticipated" Matteo could hear the familiar male voice speaking form the speakers set up all over the place, when he pushed on the door on his left he saw an operating room with a dissected corpse which was quite a revolting sight forcing Matteo to close the door.

He was used to dead bodies but such sights were something different, so he carried on moving along the hallway while pushing open doors left and right killing the ghouls that he came across, "Since we have nowhere to run, you can simply come straight boy. We are waiting in the room at the end of the corridor" Hearing this Matteo did not stop opening each door he came across to ensure he kills every ghoul before he meets with those two as he did not want his fight to get hindered by mobs.

Once he reached the end he faces an airlock door with a monitor attached to it, on the monitor, he came across an unfamiliar looking old man but from the looks of it, this should be the real face of Giovanni, "Oh you finally arrived!" Giovanni spoke happily on the monitor, behind him Matteo could see the familiar Lady he had a fight with last night, from the looks of it her hand did not heal properly yet as it was still bandaged. "So what now? You're at the end of the line old man, I suggest you surrender or die" Giovanni giggled with glee while looking at Matteo's serious face, "Die? No, it will be you! Because I have completed it! The first artificial Campione!!!"

Suddenly the sounds of locks unlocking could be heard from the door before it slowly began to open up revealing an abomination looking undead that was taller than two meters, the flesh tore through the skin as it barely covered its body, Matteo could feel this undead was stronger from the rest but it was not a Campione because his instincts were not kicking in, "Just another ghoul" Hearing Matteo's sarcastic remark Giovanni screamed furiously "That is the state of the art, Artificial Campione! Kill him, Alberto!" The undead who heard its name began to bellow a roar that echoed throughout the entire underground base making loud to the point people would think Godzilla came to visit.

Matteo sighed as he poured in a great amount of mana into the blade causing the golden holy aura cloaking around the blade to become thicker before he unleashed a slash that sent out a wave of energy towards the undead, a loud roar could be heard from the undead but it was difficult to discern if it was out of pain or rage, however, the eyes of the beast became blood-red as lightning suddenly generated within its body before it attacked Matteo which shocked him greatly, 'This attack...' Matteo looked towards the screen once again but this time he noticed, for a while now that lady did not move nor talk, even her body appeared to be paler than before.

"You're that woman aren't you" Matteo spoke with a stern face gazing into the intelligent eyes of the udead who smirked unnaturally that looked like a sinister smile from a horror movie, Giovanni who heard this scream "Impossible she is here! Huh?" He turned to look like the body of the lady collapsed on the ground without any signs of life, "You bitch!" Giovanni screamed while the undead began to laugh but the tone was completely broken, "Gueguegue It t-took you l-long enough to find me" The Undead spoke for the first time, Matteo took a deep breath as he knew this is no longer the time to play so he immediately sent Durandal back into the alternate space.

"Oh, guardian of the land of Shadows, Protector of the entrance" As Matteo chant his authority he never once used before but since he wanted to ensure this abomination is dead here and now, he would not hesitate to use it. "Teacher of Heroes, Bestow upon your filial last disciple your last inheritance" Behind Matteo, a shadowy silhouette of a beautiful woman appeared holding a blood-red spear carved with runic letters and patterns of rose thorns around it like a barb.

"Grant me the power to pierce through my enemies, and send them off to the land of Shadows" The shadow placed the blood-red spear in Matteo's hand before dispersing into dark particles, seeing the spear and the shadow presence Giovanni and Francisca felt fear gripping their hearts as they knew this was something far more dangerous than they anticipated, Francisca roared as she began to sprint towards Matteo who took a stance to throw the spear, a soft whisper could be heard before a blinding red flash was the last thing the two of them saw "Gáe Bolg"

Erica and Lilliana were far away from the house as planned since Matteo already shared the plan with the two of them to only contain the area, but suddenly a massive explosion took place followed by a light quake, they could see a mushroom shape dust rising into the skies in the location where Matteo was. When they arrived they noticed there was a massive 200 diameter crater going as deep as two basement floors and Matteo was standing in the middle of it.

Matteo made sure to check his attack killed both his enemies along with the remainder of the undead, with this, he finally took care of an annoyance but he could feel that his remaining Mana was barely keeping him awake as he did not expect for the Authority to drain this much power from him, 'Will have to train when I get home' Matteo thought before he sat on the ground, before he collapsed backwards he was caught by Erica who allowed him to rest his head on her lap, "Good work" Erica muttered with a soft voice as she caressed his head, Lilliana on the other end was pouting since she too wanted to give Matteo a lap pillow. Matteo's phone let off an alarm and when Erica checked it, it was an Email from Patrica saying they have been hacked at one of their Branch stores.

"You said he did WHAT!?" Paolo almost fell off his chair when he heard what Matteo did with the Lake and the crater he created, the servant was not sure how to report this for a third time as he could understand how Paolo felt after hearing such a ridiculous report of his son who destroyed several properties in his battle against a minor character. Paolo took a few deep breathes before he sits back on his chair while rubbing his forehead, "Contact the construction team to fix the situation, since we have to lock down Sector four anyway, we can get the government to help us with this as well" The Servant nodded before leaving.

"I always thought my boy was different, but he is just as troublesome as Salvatore in another way" Paolo complained but still smiled proudly at his son who managed to finish his mission safely.
