There was one year that the Child Services got called to the clubhouse once it was slipped that the children spent their free time at the clubhouse. It was the President that ended up waking up to loud banging on the front doors. It was a lucky day that he fell asleep last night in his office going over finances.
So with a still sleep covered face the gruff man opened his front doors to find a very stern looking black woman staring at him with a clipboard and several files. She was dressed in a pristine black suit and her hair was up and for a moment he tried to think if he had pissed off anyone recently. He couldn't think of anything he could have done to inquire a black woman's wrath. He tended to try to avoided angry women in general because they were just plain terrifying.
"Are you the owner of this establishment ? " she demanded and he shook his head to clear it before he processed what she said.
"Why?"
"Where are the children?" she ignored him.
He stood to his full height and towered over her. The sleep finally leaving him and he glared at her.
"What's your name?"
"My name is Aisha Jackson with CPS and Im here to inspect this establishments security for children. "
"And I'm Axel Cornell owner of this establishment and I am not letting you anywhere near my children without their parents approval." he stated simply and she seemed to regard him closely at his words. "So you can sit your ass down right over there and I will make coffee while I contact their respective Fathers. "
He did not wait to hear or see if she agreed. He just left the door open for her and turned to walk into the back where the kitchen was started up making coffee while finding the group chat of parents and sending a message to them.
For her part she looked around and noticed that the clubhouse was not at all what she expected. It was spotless for a club of hooligans. The wooden tables that lined the floor still had the wooden chairs upturned on top of them.
The bar was closed and she checked to see that everything was locked away. There was couches and arm chairs along the wall of the place with card tables and several television screens. What took her notice was the walls that were lined photos of children from babies to current years. There were also framed children drawings and photographs and music pieces and one very strange doll.
Axel came back with two mugs of coffee and looked at where she was. " The doll was Bella's when she was four. It's a marionette and she had declared it her most favorite possession and refused to let us throw it out. Well she's seven now and she finally let us just hang it up on the wall with the rest of the childrens things. "
"You kept their things from the early stages of their childhoods?" she asked impressed and confused. This was a bikers gang and all she knew about them was the illegal things she knew they did and what she had seen on television.
He ignored her tone and saw as the fathers all started walking in and he just continued explaining the photos on the wall. " See those three tiny tots at the end there?"
Aisha looked to see a photo of three children; two girls and one boy. The girls were polar opposite and not just in skin tone. For some reason the thought of children not being all white hadn't crossed her mind. But there she was a small little dark skinned girl with blue ribbons in her hair looking ecstatic with her arms around a grinning pale skinned girl with light brown hair on her right and on her left was a scowling boy with red hair. But their eyes showed happiness and a friendship of knowing each other for years.
"Who are they?"
Before he could answer three disgruntled voices sounded from behind her and she prided herself in not jumping " Our trio of troublemakers. " She turned to find nine disgruntled looking men who clearly looked the part of belonging in a bikers gang.
"I thought there was twelve children?"
"Two of them are twins and the the other two are brothers. " was all she got in reply from them.
Not missing a beat she again told them who she was and why she was there. "So where are the kids?" she asked once again and instead of going up the stairs like she assumed. She was lead to a door on the far left side of the building and when she walked out she was surprised to find a completely separate building built in the backyard of the club.
It was behind the garage and two stories tall. Aisha followed the men as the walked around the garage and towards the building. When they reached the front door that was left unlocked she was meet by the most unusual sight she had seen in all her years as a CPS Agent.
Inside was a huge living area supplied with a kitchen and a lot bigger than it looked on the outside. Also inside was all twelve of the children she held files for.
"We started this place when the first three were born. As we ended up with more and more children being born into the club it got turned from a playhouse to a separate living space for them."
Looking around she saw the trio from the photograph. The three fifteen year olds were playing cards at a table. They looked to be drinking coffee and having a good time. Further inspection showed a large television and in front of it sat three of the boys she was looking for.
Roberto age fourteen, Jaymes age twelve, and William age eight. They were playing a shooting game on some game console. The twins Lily and Bella age seven were playing dolls with Becca age eleven and Clare age ten.
The last two Norman age fourteen and Gary age nine were over in lounge chairs with laptops and showing each other something they both obviously found interesting. All in all it was a very normal scene for this amount of children and surprisingly calm for their different age range.
Upon introductions she found that each child was perfectly happy and had a want for nothing. Upon inspection of the place she found twelve separate bedrooms on the second floor and two and a half bathrooms. Also there were cameras hidden on the first floor and at the entrance if the building so the children were always being supervised. They told her they hide them so the kids got to know they were trusted but also they were worried Fathers that refused to believe their children didn't need them.
It was easily the best inspection she had ever done and the most surprisingly outcome. Honestly she expected to see so many violations when she got the call that children had been seen running about a motorcycle club. So it was a pleasant surprise when she could list the place as acceptable and never had to go back there again.
