Not Discerning Enough

Belle was startled and jumped a bit.She hesitantly looked at Seraph.

"Um...The truth is..."She paused for a moment, as if to build her courage, and continued.

"My family is in trouble...One of the employees at my parents business is trying to sue them."She looked scared that Seraph would judge her and hurriedly said,"They didn't do anything to him!"She sank back into her seat once she realized that she had raised her voice.

"My parents are innocent and never mistreat their workers. He's just spouting lies."She whispered after a few long moments.

"Then why is this such a big deal?"Seraph looked confusedly at Belle.

Bell stared at Seraph for a moment and got distracted.Belle was once again confused. She knew that Seraph had been prepared to take over the family company for a long time and therefore, the world's ugliness had not been hidden from her.Although she had a very serene character, she was actually very smart when it came to the schemes within business.Which was why Belle was so confused right now, as Seraph would usually be able to figure out what was going on before she could even finish explaining.

But now...

Belle looked at Seraph and then hesitantly said, "The man who is framing my parents has crucial information about many of my family's projects that only the Reid family and the partners to the Reid company would know.He threatened to leak information and potentially cost the company more many than it can afford, if they don't follow what he says."

"Do you think he doing it for money?"

Bell deliberated for a second and then said, "Maybe, but there's no way he could get all that information on his own. There's definitely someone behind him.Probably someone that has target on the company."

Seraph really wanted to sigh. The information given about what's going to happen in this world really isn't enough. There's no mention about Belle's situation at all.

Seraph thought about who it could be but then shook her head. She really wasn't discerning enough for this.

After this thought flashed through her head she quickly suppressed it, and forced the original owners memories to be prevalent.

"But Belle, what I don't get is...It's not like you to be so nervous, is it?"Seraph asked softly and kindly.

Bell looked at Seraph, and then looked back at the table quickly."No.But no one believed me when I said that my family was innocent. So I thought that you too would..."

"You thought that I would condemn you like everyone else?"

Belle nodded.
