The Great Wall

We continued our journey at a faster pace than the one we took while going to the mountain and soon reached the road to the city. Thankfully we had been lucky enough to avoid any dangerous animals. As we got closer to the city gate, we saw guards on the wall and at the gate. One of the guards stopped us when we got to the gate and asked


"What happened? Did you get attacked? Is he injured?"


"No we were not attacked" I answered the guard since Cleo was quite tired after carrying Turek for so long. "We went to gather Kura herb in the mountain and he accidentally ate some. He has been unconscious since then. We are taking him to the healers."


"Kura herb? Why do you need to take him to the healers for that. Its effects don't last more than 6 hours unless you get a really large dose. How much did he have?"


"Well he should be awake in at most 1 hour. You don't need to worry. Kura herb is used for surgeries by the healers. Most healers can not use magic, so they use medicine and surgery to heal people. Kura herb is used to make them lose consciousness so they don't feel the pain. I have had the herb many times myself."


I looked at Cleo who was looking back at me with relief. It seems we didn't really need to worry and Turek would have gained consciousness in a few hours anyway. Well if he was going to be fine, then we could just complete the quest anyway. Now the question was what to do now? Should we go to the guild while carrying Turek? 


"How about we all go to my home" This is the only thing I could think of for now.


"Yeah, we could wait there until Turek gains consciousness. Then we can all go to the guild to collect the reward."


While we had developed trust between us, I didn't want to go to the guild by myself to avoid any misunderstandings. Since the quest was on my name, only I needed to go to the guild. But since we were going to split the rewards, I wanted all of us to be there.


"Sounds good to me. How far is your home?"


"It's on the way to guild. It should take us only 15 minutes to get there."
