I waited for a few more minutes and seeing no sign of activity, I slowly came out of my hiding place. I arrived at the entrance and stuck to the wall to make sure that I wasn't seen from inside. Then I tried to listen and see if anyone was coming out or if anyone was close by. I didn't hear anything, so I glanced inside carefully. While it was dark, there was a torch burning and I could see that there was no one at the entrance.
I crept closer to the entrance while making almost no noise. I was in my element here. This wasn't a forest and it was more like the city. I made almost no noise as I came closer. I continued to listen for any sign of activity. When I was finally sure that I could go in, I crept inside slowly. The entrance passage was longer than I had thought. I saw some barrels and promptly hid behind them. While I was used to sneaking around the city, I never really feared for my life because I would at most go to jail if I did get caught. But here, I would probably be killed right away if I was found. So I was even more cautious. I was also probably as scared as I was when I was fighting with the direwolf. I stared to panic and started thinking about what was wrong with me and why I was doing something this stupid! Finally I calmed down after a minute. It had been more than 5 minutes since the bandits had entered the cave. I didn't know when they were going to come back. If I was going to do any scouting, then it had to be now.
I crept inside while making as little noise as possible. As I went further in, I thought I heard someone talking. I stopped to listen but couldn't really make out what was being said. The voice seemed too far away. I decided to continue creeping in. Even if I did hear someone coming, I knew I could run out while making almost no noise. The bandits had no reason to run, since they didn't even know I was there. I decided I would run if I felt that I was in danger. I took a deep breath and continued making my way.
As I got further in, I realized someone was talking in a loud voice in some kind of large space. Because of that, the sound was echoing which made it hard for me to understand what was being said. I finally saw the end of the passage I had been following. I crept out of it and was surprised to find a large space inside. I saw a lot of bandits stand in the space all over. I looked for a place to hide and saw a few more barrels. The barrels were quite large and there was a space between them. The light from the nearby torch didn't fall there, making it a perfect hiding spot for a small guy like me.
I quickly and silently got into the space and peered out to see if anyone was close by. I didn't see anyone close to me. It seemed like most if not all of the bandits were in the hall.
I finally started trying to figure out what was happening in the space. What I saw surprised me. It looked like a man was lying on the floor in the middle of the space. He was holding himself up with his left arm while speaking with someone in front of him. The part that surprised me was the person he was talking to was an very beautiful woman sitting on a throne like chair. Even from this distance I could tell that she was really beautiful. She didn't look like she was too tall or too short, too big or too slim. Her body and every curve on her body was perfect. She sat in a seductive posture while looking down lazily at the man lying in front of her.
Considering what I heard about bandits, the bandits here should have been jumping on top of a woman like this like animals! But instead they were just standing there watching. I looked at them carefully and found them looking entranced. They looked like they were looking upon a goddess. I could see they worshiped this woman like a deity! Just what is going on here?
