She turned around and left to get food. I laid on the bed thinking about what Elsie had said. It seemed like I need to work on improving my strength. Elsie seemed like she was much stronger than me… and she wasn't even an adventurer yet.
Elsie came back after a few minutes with two plates. She gave one to me and sat down next to me. We started eating wordlessly. It seemed both of us had something to think about. The food was really good just like in the morning but I was already quite full. Somehow I was able to finish my food while Elsie was already done with her food.
We washed up and came back to the room. It seemed that Elsie had finished thinking. She said "So what do you think Ren? Do you want your big sister to train you? We will be working on improving your strength as well as fighting."
"Fighting? You also know how to fight?" I asked in surprise.
"Hihi, of course! I don't know how to use weapons but I am quite good at unarmed fighting. I will be starting my training in the sword soon…. Once I am able to convince my parents."
"They don't want you to be an adventurer?"
"No, they want me to continue working in the inn. But I have already decided to become an adventurer. That is why I have been training so hard."
For the first time I saw Elsie being sad. The expression did not suit her, so I decided to try and cheer her up.
"Lets be in the same party once you become an adventurer!" I said while smiling at her.
Elsie looked at me in surprise. She smiled and said "Sure! Hihi… you are so cute!"
She gave me another hug and I hugged her back.
"I think it is getting late. I promised my mom that I wouldn't keep you here too late."
She got down from the bed and bent down.
"Get on!"
"Eh? What?"
"Get on my back! I will take you to your room"
"But… "
"Just get on..." Elsie said in her scary voice.
I quickly got down from the bed and jumped on her back without a second thought. Elsie caught me and stood up with no issues. I wrapped my legs and arms around her. Some of her hair got in my nose and I sneezed.
"Ah sorry. Your hair tickled my nose"
"Hihihi. Let's go!"
Elsie opened the door and carried me out of the room. As she walked to the reception desk, I saw that Elsie's mom was still there. She smiled at us and asked "Did you have fun?"
"Yes!" Both of us replied at the same time.
"That's good. Ren you can come to play with Elsie anytime you want. While she does help us in the inn, we also have hired a person for help. So you don't have to worry about causing us any trouble ok?"
I nodded my head indicating that I understood. Elsie started carrying me to the dining room where the stairs to go up were located. I looked around and saw that the rest of my party was not there. It seems they had finished dinner and gone back up.
Elsie carried me up the stairs quite easily and we moved to the end of the hallway where my room was located. She knocked on the door and after a few seconds Sheila opened the door.
