Magical water

Theresa started looking for clothes for me but there were no men's clothes of my size in the guild. Instead she took out some female adventurer's clothes and found that they could fit me better, albeit still too big. Thankfully it wasn't apparent that they were made for women since they had a rugged look to them.

I was hesitant to wear them but all the men's clothes were too big for me. Reluctantly I started browsing through the clothes and found the ones that were the smallest while still looking similar to men's clothes. They were good quality clothes, better than anything I had ever owned. I assumed that these were just being lent to me, not something I could keep.

After collecting the clothes, we made our way to the bath house. The bath house was bigger than the one I had used in the inn. The tub was big enough to accommodate 2 people easily. I started looking around for water for the tub but Theresa interrupted me.

"What are you doing?"

"I am looking for water for the tub…"

Theresa frowned and went over to the tub. She turned a metal handle that was above the tub and water started flowing out of a tube. I saw another tube and handle near the tub.

"What is the other handle for?"

"Its for hot water"

"Hot water just flows out of that tube if you turn the handle? Is it using magic?"

"Something like that. "

She thought for a moment and turned the hot water handle as well. The tub filled quickly with water flowing from both tubes. I checked the water temperature and it really was warm. I was curious on how this magic worked but I might have to ask the guild master for it.

I looked around and waited for a bit.

"What are you waiting for? Didn't you want to take a bath?" asked Theresa.

"Eh? But I am waiting for you to leave."

Theresa gave me a confused look. How was this unusual? Why would I take a bath with her watching me!

"I cannot leave you alone here. You will need to wash yourself while I am here."

"Wha.. what?" I stared at her in disbelief.

Theresa kept watching me stoically, as if waiting for me to challenge her.

I grit my teeth and started taking off my clothes. Theresa coldly stared at me as I took off my clothes one by one. Only when I started taking off my pants did she finally avert her eyes. I shook my head and slowly entered the bath.

The tub was long right to left but I decided to sit across the tub so that my back was facing Theresa. The tub's width was not big enough to allow me to stretch my legs, but I didn't want to sit in a way that Theresa could see me. So this was my only option.

The temperature was quite good and I forgot my worries as soon as I entered the water. As I started the bath, I heard Theresa walking over. I looked about and saw her standing on my left.

"What are you doing?" I demanded.

"I am making sure you don't do anything dangerous." She replied calmly.

"What can I even do in here! I don't even have any weapons." I shouted angrily.

Theresa frowned, probably at my tone. Then she smoothed her expression and started watching me without saying anything.

I was naked and the water was clear. Too clear for my liking. I did the only thing I could and turned my back to Theresa again. Theresa moved to keep me in her view. We did this a few times and finally Theresa stopped.

I sighed with relief and started washing myself again. I heard movement behind me but I didn't see Theresa come into my view, so I decided to ignore it. I was sitting in a similar position as my first time but a bit more diagonally. With my back towards Theresa, I didn't have an inkling of what she was up to.
