After leaving the leaning mountain town Chu Xuan took a random direction and started flying in that direction. After a while of flying he could see a city in the distance and decided to land so as to remain low profile.
Chu Xuan had decided to enquire about the world spirit guild so he could sneak into their library to memorise all their books secretly. He had for decided to look for a world spiritist so he could apprentice under him/her and learn all he could in a short few days like Chu Feng has done but he realised that he had comprehended blue spirit power and it would be impossible to convince any world spiritist that he didn't know the basics of being a world spiritist, they would think he was humiliating them or would not dare to accept him as a disciple even for a few days as he was a higher cloak spiritist.
In the end, he gave up on his initial decision and decided to sneak into the guild. He had a cultivation of the peak 1st level Heaven Realm. He was confident no one would be able to detect him while he was hiding in the folds of space.
Chu Xuan sighed feeling that he could have increased his cultivation more but his martial comprehension wasn't enough for him to break through to the heaven realm. It was only at times like these that he envies people with a heavenly bloodline since they could keep increasing their cultivation till half martial ancestor in the best case on solely the amount of energy they absorbed. That would have been perfect with his divine body since he could pull energy from spatial tears for cultivation. He would have been atleast a martial king by now if he had a heavenly bloodline.
Well, it was no use to cry over something he never had. And he had a feeling that once his divine body awakened fully it would give him a surprise and make up for the efforts he was putting in now.
Chu Xuan finally reached the city he had seen and started asking around for where he could find the world spirit guild branch. One of the shopkeepers selling armaments gave him the directions to the nearest world spirit guild since he acquired his highest grade armaments from the world spirit guild. Chu Xuan thanked him and handed min some of the saint spiritual grass he had taken from the bandits he had met on his way as thanks.
He didn't linger around to see the expression of shock that was on the face of the shopkeeper morph into happiness as the shopkeeper was only a worker and didn't get enough salary to afford to use saint spirit grass for cultivation.
Chu Xuan went to the direction the shopkeeper had pointed him in and after a few hours reached the territory of the world spirit guild, he decided to go forward stealthily even if it was almost night and reached the world spirit guild's main compound. He could feel the defensive and attacking formations with his spirit energy and entered the folded space of his divine body and made his body intangible, he used a technique to make light pass through him by use of spatial energy. It essentially turned him invisible to all types of visual detection and could only be tracked by someone who had a higher energy sensitivity than he did since he had pulled his aura and energy tightly in his body. He still kept full attention on his surroundings to make sure he wasn't caught and reached the inside of the library.
It seemed that he had overestimated the abilities of the world spiritists in the branch and relaxed. He looked at the thousands of books in the library and had to stop himself from drooling at the amount of information he could get from the place.
He was able to read and memorise a portion of the books and decided to leave once it was early morning and continue again in the night. He read and memorised all the books in the library in a week. This was hue to his impeccable memory and high cultivation which increased his soles of processing information.
He then quietly left the guild in a secluded mountain range where he set up a red maiden s in a cave so he could comprehend all the knowledge he had memorised and be able to create his own formations of spirit energy.
Thus began the month long closed door cultivation session of Chu Xuan.
A Month Later.....
In the cave Chu Xuan had completed the assimilation of all the world spirit techniques he had memorised.
He had first decided to leave his closed door cultivation but his comprehension in spirit techniques had increased his martial comprehension by a large amount and he was confident he could break into the 3rd level of heaven realm at the very least. Thus he again secluded himself in the cave for another session of cultivation.
A few days later.....
Chu Xuan could be seen roaming in the city that was close to the mountain cave he had been cultivating inside.
He had completed his closed door cultivation session and had advanced to the 3rd level of heaven realm . His foundation was as solid as bedrock and had no impurities due to his fast rate of cultivation.
As he entered the market district he could hear people discussing about a ruin opening and decided to ask a person about the details.
"Hey, do you know what ruins everybody has been discussing about ?"
"Have you recently arrived to the city? No wonder you don't know about it. A ruin was found a 100 kilometres out of the western gate of the city and it seemed that only cultivators with heaven realm cultivation could enter inside"
"Really!!, maybe I should go there to watch the show , I might get an inspiration for a breakthrough"
"Sure, it's not like people like us unaffiliated cultivators could get to the heaven realm anyway. We just need to be content with what we can get after the royal dynasty and the big clans raid the place "
As Chu Xuan bade farewell to the guy, he started thinking about the ruin since such a thing wasn't mentioned in the novel.
As he was thinking , he left the city from the west gate and decided to go to the ruin to see if he could get lucky with the opportunity. As he got out of the city he flew towards the ruin at the highest speed he could maintain at his cultivation.
