Chapter 8

Chu Xuan woke up in the afternoon in the next day. The last day's ruin was still on his mind as he woke up because he found it suspicious that a ruin where he had found an incomplete immortal sword was so easy to clear and get its contents.

He remembered that in the book there was a ruin Chu Feng was trapped in that was filled with life threatening traps that would have killed a martial emperor easily and it was just a ground left by a martial ancestor in the holy land of martialism .

Maybe Chu Xuan suddenly realised that it must have been an inheritance tomb of an immortal who was about to die and hadn't the time to set stronger defences.

Even then he felt that the trials in the ruin weren't what he had expected from an immortal.

Don't get him wrong Chu Xuan was very happy to be able to get an immortal taboo skill which suited his skillset along with a strong weapon. It's just that he was feeling confused on why would he get it so easily.

What Chu Xuan didn't know that he had been measuring himself compared to Chu Feng he had read about in the novel and forgot that Chu Feng was the protagonist of the novel and was a genius in the top tiers of even the upper realms of the starfield.

Naturally what he defined as a benchmark for a genius had been set according to the viewpoint of Chu Feng in the novel which skewed his perception on how strong a cultivator generally was.

Chu Xuan his current state was comparable to a normal cultivator of 1st level of martial lord realm which would increase when he activated his divine body.

The puppets in the ruin were comparable to a genius with 3 levels of heaven defying battle power of the hundred refinements ordinary realm but since that had been Chu Xuan's first true battle outside of his training he hadn't been able to judge that and had considered himself to be a normal genius with 2 levels of heaven defying battle power.

Chu Xuan decided to deal with the matter of the ruin at a later time and started to plan his next actions.

He had realised that the nine provinces continent no longer had any benefits for him and it was time for him to leave for the eastern sea region.

Chu Xuan knew that the distance of the eastern sea region from the nine provinces continent was huge and he needed a flying ship to go fast enough to reach the sea region. Chu Xuan decided to forge a flying ship using world spirit techniques since he had seen the blueprints for such a ship that was made for the Jiang royal dynasty that were kept in the library of the world spirit guild.

He then began to collect the materials needEd for the construction of the flying ship and spent a month slowly collecting materials for it.

Finally Chu Xuan only needed the core material of the control system of the ship which could be only found near the royal capital. He then left for the royal capital and searched for another 2 weeks where he found an independent cultivator who agreed to sell him the material for a large amount of spiritual beads. As Chu Xuan didn't care much about the beads he agreed and bought the material.

The next week was spent by Chu Xuan to build the ship. Since he had a high amount of mental energy and could use his spirit power to the highest level, the building of the ship was completed in a week instead of the month that the world spirit guild needed for the dynasty's ship.

Once the ship was completed Chu Xuan put it away in his storage ring and went to the ocean near the royal capital which led to the eastern sea region and brought out the flying ship.

The cultivators in the area were surprised to see a flying ship since only the royal family was said to possess one but Chu Xuan wasn't interested in the reactions of other people and left as soon as he entered the ship.

The ship left towards the eastern sea region with a speed greater than a heaven realm cultivator and only needed a continuous supply of energy to run. Chu Xuan had no lack of energy and sat in the middle of the ship to meditate as he knew it would be a long journey.
