Chapter 4 Training day
During the training, Xerx took a break regularly to some work in the outpost.
like giving the plants some water, cutting wood, chopping trees, mining stone, paving roads, etc.
As they were finished with the training they began working on building the village again. Xerx divided the rats into teams again but this time pairing the young rats with the older and more experienced ones.
So they can learn from them and the work will go faster.
There were about 6 teams including Xerx team.
teams consisted of team one giant eater rats, blighted light carriers, dreaming giants and giant darkness dwellers.
Team one's purpose is delivering the goods to the other teams and hauling away all the waste materials.
As for a basic description of all rats in team one.
Giant eater rats you already know about.
The blighted light carriers are about the same size as the giant eater rats.
Have green colored fur that gives of a sinister light.
And have bones growing on their back in the shape of a through.
They are mostly used to transport stuff from one location to another.
The dreaming giants are twice as big compared to the blighted light carriers.
Have different shades of purple and blue colored fur and are sleepwalking constantly. They have great strength and stamina that's why they are used for pulling wagons, carts.
And other things in that range giant darkness dwellers are the same size as the dreaming giant.
Only have pitch-black fur and live in the shadows.
They are used mostly for transporting things because of their ability to store things in the shadows.
Team two groundbreaking diggers, stone devouring miners, clay controllers.
Team two's purpose is digging the sewers and paving the roads.
The stone devouring miners are the color of their favorite stone to eat.
And are known for their strong Jaws.
Clay controllers are brown and have armor of clay surrounding them.
They are mostly used for constructing clay roads or buildings.
Team three shadow devouring rats, dark ice stalkers, sword claw Rats,
Team three's purpose is defending the village and scouting the surroundings.
Sword claw rat has different colored fur based on the metals of their claws.
And are about the size of a child and are good at combat.
Then the dark ice stalkers are mostly snow-white or pitch black.
And are known for their control of a special kind of ice.
Called dark ice it is ice fused with dark magic.
And has corrosive tendencies so mostly used in armies to melt armor.
Team four twilight rats, gentle healing embrace, plague eaters.
Team four's purpose is healing the injured and growing special plants and herbs.
Plague eaters are dark blue and have the height of a hand cart.
And sharp claws to defend themselves they can coat them with the diseases they have eaten.
They are known for their curing of diseases by eating the disease and love eating them. Gentle healing embrace is pure white with hearts shaped spots on their fur.
And are known for healing people with hugs their hugs are also good for soothing the mind.
Team five Leo, Xerx, dark stone builders,
Team five purpose is building the village houses and facilities.
But also the farms outside the village.
Dark stone builders have aquamarine-colored fur.
And are the size of an adult man and have bones and claws made of dark stone.
They are known for creating and controlling a special kind of stone called dark stone.
Dark stone is really useful for building buildings in dark places.
Because in the night it gives a special kind of light called Darklight
Team six swift wave surfers, water controllers, and dawn light swimmers Team six purpose is to create an irrigation system and a making some underground lake.
But also above ground lakes for fishing.
Swift wave surfers have greenish-blue fur.
The claw that has a special coating they use to surf with.
They mostly are known for controlling fish to do their bidding.
Water controllers have fur in all shades of blue.
And are all different sizes depending on where they are born.
They are known for controlling the water tides.
Dawn light swimmers have fur that switches color depending on the light.
Big claws and the size of a horse.
They are known for being good swimmers they even can swim in the light as if it is water.
The other rats got to decide what they gonna do on their own.
And would be rotating with the other rats in working as teams.
The day quickly came to an end and Xerx began scouting for seeds to plant in the village.
Xerx found his first seeds after about ten minutes.
As his backpack was full he traveled back to Ratsburg and planted them.
He then went back to searching for seeds.
Xerx repeatedly did this till he heard something on his eight times traveling back to the village.
He immediately unsheathed his sword hanging on his right.
Out of the bushes came a herd of bone-eating hedgehogs.
Their species are known for their aggressiveness.
And have green spikes they use to attack. They like to eat bones especially skeleton bones.
As soon as Xerx saw them he began attacking.
The first couple of hedgehogs he killed before they can fight back.
Afterward, the others began shooting their spikes towards Xerx.
He dodged the by a hair's end and rushed to them killing them one for one.
As the battle ended Xerx got on collecting and skinning the bodies.
Xerx hauled al useful materials to the village and began his routine again.
as the sun began rising Xerx felt that it would be a busy day.
And the challenge just began.
