CHAPTER 6: PERSONAL TALK

ERINE

"Just need to relax. I won't bite or any bad intention for inviting you here." He said, smiling at me. "A little personal talk because you are new here."

This is odd. I do not know why I got very nervous. When I am in front of this person, I am not very much like this.

I am shy I am aware of that. Especially, if I am in front of the people talking like giving speech or something.

Reaching my age now, I should not be so much tense. Gosh, do not tell me I got a strong attraction to my boss. This is insane for goodness's sake.

We ate while talking he asked me why I was here on part time basis only. My nervousness was gone a little. I feel calm while being with me in a short time. He was not the kind of boss implanted in mind.

"Why are you not applying full time? I am sure the wages in my club much higher that what you have in your regular job." He asked as we still eating.

"I know that the salaries I get in your club are truly amazing with some tips included if I serve outside the kitchen." I said frankly. "But what I have to deal is the time Boss."

"The Time?" he asked while his face was confused.

"Yes, boss, time, you know I have a son that I still have to spend my time with. If I will apply full time here, I do not have time with him. As much as possible I want to have breakfast and dinner with him every day at least five times a week." I said, as I looked him in the eyes. "In addition, see him go to bed at night. He is all I got now that he is teenager. He still needs my guidance."

"You have a son? Well, at your age of course you have a husband and a son." He smiled faking, obviously written on his face. "But it was not stated in your resume."

"Actually, boss, I am still single and never been married. His father and I were off the hook long time ago. I moved on and he moved on too." I just told him I do not usually tell strangers about my past. Or my personal life. I do not why but I just said it.

I saw his face seems lighten I guess or I am just imagining that. I do not know why I opened easy to him regarding with my personal relationship. Like I said repeatedly, I am so weird in front of him.

"Yes, I have a son and it was not stated in any of my resume I preferred it that way unless it is necessary and I won't deny it." I grinned.

"I once married, we had two beautiful children. And both of them were already married and still keep in touch. As of my ex-wife, she married again with one of my close friend ways back. They cheated on me when I was busy taking care with our businesses." He said in a low voice. "But I am happy now with my life being single too. It is easier that way no commitment less complication in life." he added with devilish smiled.

I smiled back knowing we have the same experience about love. Yes, Dean's father cheated on me. I was thankful that we did not get married.

Since then, I focused on Dean all my life and I guess, I should stick on that.

We did not notice we finished the foods I brought. It was too many for just the two of us. He did open the wine but I refuse to drink. I am not fond of liquors but I do drink it occasionally.

As much as possible I do not want to drink it anymore. I already passed that age of having drinking and tried what a teenager's curiosity's sake during my younger years.

"No, boss, I do not want to drink and I am still on duty." I refused his offer.

"Well, I respect you. You take your job seriously and I like it. It is very rare that you manage to control to ignore the offer." He said proudly as he took a sip on his wine.

I am relieved that I went back to my working station bringing back the tray with me. The remaining dishes he gave it to Greg. That was the name of his bodyguard.

Chef Bob smiled at me. "Did our boss scared you?" He asked me.

"Hahaha! A little at first. I was just imagining weird stuff in my head, Chef." I said, laughing. "But it was the opposite. He was okay." I did not say another word. I might slip something.

"Oh! Well, Brandon is a good man so you don't need to be afraid." Smiling at me.

"Brandon?" I asked confusedly.

"That's the name of our boss, silly woman." Shaking his head, giggling.

"Oh! I did not know because I did not even ask." I chuckled.

'Brandon' Suit his personality.

I did not take my break because I already consume so much time while I was in his office. Chef Bob and the others were always busy. There were a lot of orders coming in.

I did my job well by washing all the dishes quickly and cleanly. Weekends were always full pack in the club. Now I know why they needed another people in here.

In fairness to this club, it is the best. Good vibes, good music, good people. Everything I could describe are all positive. I enjoy working here every weekend.

I already adapt it in my weekend routines. Dean saw me that I love my second job. He already adjusts it during weekends that I am there, daytime. At nighttime, I am off to work and safe to arrive home too on the next day.

I guess I stay here longer.
