From the Aria Clan

As Kate and Trace drove towards the Villegas Mansion, something weird also happened in a mansion from a distance.

*Day 01---Start of the Apocalyptic Era*

Rain drops from the sky. It's sound echoes from the rooftop. The wind blows from South to North, bringing destruction wherever it goes. Trees bend towards the ground. Some were even uprooted. Fallen leaves scatter and obstruct the roads. Mud and flood showed its might, claiming the lives of many. Killing without dropping blood. That's how nature preserves itself.

During the storm, Jazz watched as everything unfolds from a distance, sitting in a chair by the window of her room. She could not help but frown with the weather. Everything is planned. And this storm just have to come.

She's holding a broken bracelet in her left hand, and the ten blue beads of the bracelet scattered across her room.

In her right hand, a bracelet with ten violet beads were held. The two bracelets were a pair, the broken one owned by someone whom she dearly loved.

This morning, her father rushed to her room to bring this bracelet to her, bringing bad news.

Successive knocks can be heard from the door. Jazz ignored the sound until it stopped. She's still thinking about how good this day should be. Until the door opened.

From the door, a lady's head popped and looked at Jazz. The lady fixed her glasses and then faked her cough. This got Jazz's attention. But only for a second. She then returned her gaze to the world outside.

This made the lady frown. She then went inside the room, showing her newly ironed business suit. Paired with her glasses and high pony tailed hair, she looked like a strict principal.

"Happy birthday, Jasmine! Come on. Don't snob your Mom. It's your 17th birthday, sweetie. Don't be like that," her mother Celeste said.

She walked elegantly towards her sulking daughter by the window, avoiding the beads on the floor. She sat next to Jazz and hugged her daughter from the back.

"Sweetie. You do know that earthquakes are natural calamities. And it is quite unfortunate for your friend to die in one. But you shouldn't blame yourself."

The lady tried to lighten the weight of guilt in her daughter's heart. Just this morning, around 2 AM, due to an earthquake, many buildings collapsed. Jazz's friend Oliver lives near a mountain, living in a lowly hut together with his family. And they were quite unfortunate to be the victim of the said calamity.

Jazz didn't hear a word her mother said. Her gaze was focused to the world outside the mansion.

Near the gate of the mansion, a funny fellow was walking like a crazy person. He's dragging his right leg, he's walking very slow and his head hung on his neck. His arms are dropped towards the ground, and when he bent even a little more, it will touch the ground. This fellow was walking aimlessly, and the guard that saw him acted according to the situation.

"State your name and your aim in coming here, Sir. You are given a minute. Otherwise, don't blame me for being nasty," the guard said while opening the gate.

Hearing someone near him, the funny fellow raised his head to the horror of the guard. The fellow has pure black eyes and his note was bitten off by some kind of animal. His lips were white and dry, and he gave off a hoarse sound.

Intending to save himself from any possible attacks, the guard immediately jumped away from the gate, but his speed was lacking compared to the fellow. He was too late.

The fellow became savage at the sight of a human and attacked the guard. Since the gate was quite a distance from the mansion, the cries of pain and sound of suffering didn't reach the ears of the people living there. This sight, however, was seen by Jazz from the window.

'Looks like I won't wait for too long before I can see you once more, Oliver,' she thought while looking intently at the guard who ran towards the mansion just now.

The guard got off the tight bite of the fellow and now he's asking for help. His left arm only has a skin connecting it to his body. Blood dropped from his wound and his guard uniform got soaked by the rain. He even slipped a few times on the way towards the mansion due to the rainy weather. His cries alarmed the people nearby and went to help him.

'Is he an idiot or is he an idiot? He's spreading it already.'

Her mother Celeste also got a glance outside and hurriedly went to help. Seeing that there's already no chance of hope for their family, a tear fell from Jazz's young face. This intensified the rain outside.

She saw how that guard turned into a flesh-eating monster, and how that guard ate his co-workers. Mud and blood mixed in the garden of the Aria Clan.

And then she saw them turning into monsters, thinking nothing more than eating the flesh of other humans.

"Since Oliver and hope is gone, I'm finally letting you live, alien girl. I'm sorry for trapping you in my body. Hopefully, you can forgive me once you remember me."

Another tear fell from her eyes. This tear fell on her bracelet. She glanced at the open door, seemingly waiting for someone. And just then, she heard a series of hurried footsteps. With her heart beating so hard because of fear and helplessness, she didn't show it in her face.

Then the footsteps stopped. What was left was a figure in her door. A figure of someone she knew very well. Her Grandpa Chips. The old man turned around and saw Jazz by the window.

Seeing a human, the old man turned ferocious and attacked. The sound of pain and agony echoed inside Jazz's room. Before her eyesight turned black, what she saw was this.

An old man with black eyes, left ear bitten off, black veins pulsating in the old man's face. His teeth were sharp like a shark's. His face was pale, akin to white paper. He got sharp, long claws that can chop off an arm of a child. His right sleeve has bite marks on it and blood dirtied his business suit.

Gone was the old man's warm expression. What was left was a ferocious, savage aura that can mince everything to pieces.

And the old man killed his granddaughter. By a bite that can change anyone into a savage beast.

The bracelet with violet beads that Jazz was holding fell and broke.

"Jazz, sweetheart, no!" a man's helpless voice echoed.

And when the old man turned around after he finished his meal, he caught sight of man in his forties, Jasmine's father. And this person became the head of the Aria Clan's next victim.

And before that man's death, he saw Jasmine's body shone bright. And by the next moment, the body was gone.
